My husband compliments me whenever I wear Elie Saab Le Parfum. He also likes Vince Camuto Fiori which smells a lot like Chanel Chance Eau Tendre. I’ve gotten compliments from other people when I wear SJP’s Lovely which I like to layer with Moschino I Love Love.

I very rarely get compliments on my fragrances (I live in the U.S., and while a lot of us Americans do indeed adore perfume, a lot of U.S. institutions consider wearing fragrance in public/at work to be “socially taboo and unprofessional” which is just a question of cultural norms-norms I don’t agree with of course!! Therefore, it comes as no surprise that my compliments are pretty much always from family members. The most recent of which being from last weekend for Amouage Lilac Love; my sister-in-law, who is a fellow fragrance junkie, noticed it and said I smelled SO good. :)

Yes! Perfume is very unpopular where I live in California. I think perfumes that aren’t recognizably floral are interesting to people. I love rose and jasmine, but my recognizable florals never get compliments. Its’s good that I care more about the perfume fitting my mood and making me happy. 😊

Today I happened to run into a woman in the shop, I caught the sillage coming from her, and couldn't help asking her what the fragrance it was so she answered it was Baccarat rouge 540 mixed with JHG not a perfume, it was gorgeous , divine!
@@just.jaimie. you can layer it with any fragrance that has musc or musc will compliment it, i also use it to make scents less sweet as well
I was anosmic to it at first but now i can smell it a bit
From what I remember, I layered it with pure musc by narciso to make it project more, d&g the only one intense to make it less sweet, sunny side up by Juliette has a gun, bacarat, Coco Mademoiselle and any citrus to make it more musky and i got crazy compliments

My top complimented fragrances are Inara Swiss Arabian ,Paradiso Roberto Cavalli and Gemma di Paradiso , Flower Bomb Nectar Wictor &Rolf.
DKNY Be Delicious (the 🍏 green apple) and even more so, Fresh Blossom, the pink one. I used to wear all them a lot, but those two got the most compliments on me.
Recently I got some samples for me daughter and I. I had a sample of YSL Libre, I didn’t hate it but I wasn’t in love with it. That was intended for me but I gave it to my daughter, I’d got her some other fragrances to try, she’s only nearly 14, but when she smelled the YSL Libre she loved it and said it’s the nicest fragrance she ever smelled and will buy a bottle when she’s able. A few days later, she was off out and I said ‘you smell nice, what’s that?’ It was the YSL.. I didn’t recognise it but it smelled great on her! Definitely her fragrance.
I have a friend who loves the ‘cannabis’ smell.. she would love that last one!
I myself didn't like Libre original either but Libre Intense was lovely warm honey lavender with tonka so I bought a full bottle and I just fell in love with it. I think this is one of the best releases of 2020 among designer brands. I bought it blindly BTW 😊

When you mentioned “you cannot stop smiling” with Narcosis…I was thinking the same thing while wearing this as My SOTD. It is very uplifting and makes Smile every time I catch a huge waft of this in the air. Blind buying this was a unnerving experience since a majority of My collection are very Woody, Rose/Oud Masculine fragrances and I’m not too keen on overtly Feminine florals, fruity, or bubblegum sweet, fragrances. Erba Pura is perfect example of a fragrance I personally don’t like wearing for myself and crazy enough is literal catnip for Women who always chase Me down to find out what I’m wearing…so there’s that ;)

Hello Leila. Love your videos - binge watching the whole lot. Can you do some videos on Middle Eastern perfume houses specifically? I would like to learn more, but all I can find is a Middle Eastern perfume described here and there. What is the history of perfumery in this region? Perfume is as old as civilization, after all. Where was it made in the ancient times?
Please, would you do a video about your fragrances that carry base notes of Vanille, Musk, Patchouli and Amber.. I'm interested in affordable/cheapie price but including perfumes from low to high might be interesting, too.

I am soooooo curious about Patchouli Intense! Reviews often say it doesn’t smell like the patchouli you are familiar with, that it’s a novel kind of patchouli. Is that your experience too? Some have also said it’s like a barbershop style fougere. I’m not sure that I want that but I am on the hunt for patchouli scents that agree with me. So far my favorite is Vetiver Patchouli from Montale.
The patchouli in Patchouli İntense is really unick. It's fresh, green, a bit soapy but in a best possible way. But I must warn you - my husband hates this fragrance on me. It reminds him of his dad's Cologne he never liked in 80's and he calls it "grandpa's Cologne" 😁 If you want to try it better find a small 30ml size bottle or decant first. Because fragrances are the most subjective things that can exist in the world and what I find amazing may not impress you at all 😊
