I’m going to miss the Mirage. Loved to go to the lounge for a pina colada and watch the lounge act back in the day. The surroundings and ambiance cannot be beaten. I bought a Mirage ball cap 🧢 thanks for the memories Mirage you will be missed 😢
Love your videos! Thanks for all the content. I'd be really interested in a video comparing the interactive shows/exhibits - Particle Ink, Arte, Illuminarium, Van Gogh exhibit, etc.
Another excellent video! I'm bummed to not have spent more time at the Mirage now that it's closed. Tried Otoro for the first time a few weeks ago and was impressed w. the food
Another Great video as always Jorge! Glad you had a great last time at Mirage! I will greatly miss the Mirage and have a big soft spot for the property since the 90s.
Super great video! I’ve been to Vegas numerous times but for some reason always skipped Mirage. Never stepped a foot inside and now I’m kicking myself for it 😂😊
First time I saw a bidet was in Paris. I was 22. I didn't know what it was. The real bathroom was down the hall. I said "What the heck is this?" My cousin said, "I don't know about you, but my turd wouldn't fit down that drain!" I still laugh about that!
Great video. I was just there this past weekend to say goodbye. I missed the volcano shows though . I thought they were done already. I took loads of pics, ate by the pool. So sad it’s becoming a hard rock. I miss Siegfried and Roy too. I lost too much money though :(
Mirage will not go anytime soon. The property will just simply close for a bit, build an additional building, and then offer the rooms at the old mirage building alongside the rooms in the new building! It is very likely that the suites at the older (current) building will be the cheaper room options, while suites in new building will be more modern with better strip views (similar to Cosmopolitan)! What will be gone though are the strip view rooms at Treasure Island! The guitar property will COMPLETELY block their view! Strip view rooms at Trump tower & Resorts world will see a severe downgrade as well!
Bittersweet huh? your history of the property and its sort of nostalgic to bid farewell to this gem on the strip. I'm sad I never got to stay there. Ate and gambled there many times though.
George ,thank you so much for this video I am very sad that it is closing I used to go there all the time with my family and also Jet nightclub I believe it was there before . I am very sad . Thank you for the memories.
I was given the same exact room you stayed in about two years ago. It was amazing. I’m gonna really really miss the Mirage. It has so many memories not just the Vegas, but in my personal life which I know it has for so many other people a shame that it’s gonna be some kind of hard rock, crap rock kind of a thing I hope they take care of the buildings and if they improve on it, I hope they keep some parts of the Mirage, including the two mermaids in the front.
Really hoping the hard rock retains just a little piece of the Mirage just to highlight the history of the location. Also! completely agree with you that the mirage pool is underrated
Thanks dude. The last time I was there was in 2021. I won't make it back before they close for good. Great memories. I loved the show Love and Shin. I think back in 2007 they had a ventriloquist with a shit load of puppets. I think. It's been awhile.
Great final last review of the Mirage. It is always sad to see a historic casino go but without updated renovation, the property is looking very dated. As much history as there was at this property, I am looking forward to something entirely new. I actually don't mind the guitar building as it should make the strip look "cooler". I've always thought the volcano show would have a big climax but it usually just ends abruptly after a few flames and water shots. 😅 Seeing it once is enough.
Too bad i'll miss the closing by less than 2 weeks! Do you have any advice for someone going on a short solo trip to Vegas and not heavy into partying? It won't be my first time, but I want to get the most out of the trip!
The Shin trick is a follow the leader routine where you seemingly randomly shuffle cards, tear some in half, and throw some away. At the end, provided you followed instructions, you end up with only the two halves of the first torn in half card. It's a self working trick that works because it's a bit confusing... you don't know where it's going... so you lose track of what's happening to the cards. Shin is great... the best I've ever seen at his particular type of magic. However, I would say his greatest trick is finding a way to do close up card magic in a large theater... you end up watching almost the entire show on TV. I believe Colin Cloud is already signed to do a show at Harrahs (taking over Tape Face?). Shin should have no problem finding a new home.
So sad to see The Mirage go. Wynn always created the best hotels. Vegas will suffer after kicking him out. It’ll all just be soul-less buildings made to extract $. Highly doubt Hard Rock will have a single room even close to as nice as this one. And it’s 30 years old. Damn shame :/
Definitely sad. The guitar will be cool for the skyline but that’s it. Volcano was a cool free attraction + I’m gonna miss all the greenery and water around Mirage. It was different. Hard Rock will just be another mid grade casino.
We had high hopes for this show but the dancers don’t dance in sync and the whole storyline about a glove was just boring after the first half hour. We went this past May expecting a show about Michael’s career and life. This show did him and his legacy no justice, the best part was the ending. To add insult to injury they had technical difficulties and stopped the show three times, makes sense why all the empty seats.
@@Vegas-Must-Try The ground floor of the Guitar Hotel in Hollywood, Florida is very nice, as is the entire property. I am sure they will make The Mirage look modern and great.
Sad to see the volcano go....it's iconic
Truly!
I’m going to miss the Mirage. Loved to go to the lounge for a pina colada and watch the lounge act back in the day. The surroundings and ambiance cannot be beaten. I bought a Mirage ball cap 🧢 thanks for the memories Mirage you will be missed 😢
You and me both!
Casinos are boring now without lounge acts if you ask me!it’s sad what they have done to the strip.
The best part was seeing Jorge in the tub enjoying a bubble bath. 🤣 Exellent video and loved the volcano show. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@Vegas-Must-Try Is your watch OK? hot tubs/baths aren't good for watches!

It’s been recently announced that Shin Lim will move to the Venetian this October.
We stayed in that room last year, it's amazing. We loved it. The 100 dollar reception trick did the job. Greetings from Dundalk, Ireland.
Awesome! Not a bad deal

Heading there this weekend from socal. Can’t wait

One of the best tower penthouses in town. Next stay, Lanai or Villa! You have a week or so... ;)
Would love to check out Lanai!
Nice suite. I'm new to the channel. Keep up the good work
Wow, the Penthouse Suite at The Mirage looks amazing! Sad to see it go, but the memories will last forever.

YES! He deserves it!
Maybe at Luxor to replace AGT?
Great memories at the Mirage. It was the first casino resort my wife (girlfreind at the time) stayed at together in Vegas.
It was world class

Gonna miss the dolphins and the lions. Used to be free for Platinum when MGM used to give away freebies for gamblers
