My Horrible Experience at this Las Vegas Hotel - OYO Hotel and Casino

- This is by fat the WORST Hotel in Las Vegas! I tried so hard to look at the bright side but gave in. The OYO hotel has the worst facilities for any major hotel at or near the Vegas Strip! Not only did they lie with their table minimums but their elevators did not work and the AC unit in my room was basically a fan. Room wasn't that dirty so props to that I guess. I didn't talk too much mess about them but security guards were quite incompetent when someone stole my wallet. I had to follow up with them a few times to get simple answers. Awful experience! Avoid this place, wings were good though hahaha

My wallet was stolen there two years ago ! On my 30th birthday. Never going back lol
Very good. I left my wallet in a cart at Walmart once, drove clear across town before I realized it. Went back, some one had turned it in untouched. I had just got paid so had a fair amount of cash, Check book, credit cards, ID, S.S card. I about was in shock! There are still some good people out there, and I have returned the favor before that happened and after so it’s good karma.

Oh man! At first I thought it sucked that your AC and the elevators didn’t work and they kinda lie about their table minimums, but then someone just ganked your wallet?! I don’t know how that place stays in business. Every review of OYO from even the most optimistic and kind RUclipsrs always ends badly.

I'll post a good story. I left $150+ in a machine at Main Street Station. Realized my mistake four hours later, came back, and someone had printed it out and turned it into security. There are still good people, even in Vegas.
Yes, there are honest people out there. Glad you got your money back, I’ll guess that security wasn’t happy, they were probably hoping no one would try to claim it so they could keep it for themselves. Years ago at a local casino where I live, I turned in $100 left on a machine, I was told that since no one claimed it within 30 days, it became property of the casino, gave me nothing for doing the right thing.
I’ve learned if you do the right thing it will come back to you in a positive way, took many years to learn that tnoy
Man, I hate that you got your wallet stolen. I did the same thing several years ago at El Cortez. I left El Cortez and made it to Fremont Street around The D, when I discovered I left it. I went to the security desk and miraculously they had it. Everything was there! I wish you the best. Take Care

I have to agree. That is definitely the worst property in Vegas. That place needs to be demolished.
Maybe if MORE people complained on Google Reviews about the elevators they might get them fixed faster…
Then again, many people complain in the reviews and they don’t fix the hotel any faster! 😂
elevators are a high maintenance expense. in poor countries that can't easily support the tech, they don't even bother, and just build nice really wide stairs.

This place needs to be demolished! If they are smart the Tropicana people would buy it out, on the cheap and use the property for useful expansion
purposes if they eventually rebuild!
If they decide not to rebuild, it would make the property next to the new baseball stadium more valuable to any new owners, they could recoup the costs they have incurred!
This would be much better for Las Vegas, a larger new resort!
Ask for another room and you will get a room with A/C and bro sorry about your wallet.. It's Vegas don't take out your wallet, I take cash out that I need and wallet is slim and stays in my front pocket. I have left my phone at a slot before at Bellagio and got lost trying to remember where but it was turned in to security 😊
Ive dropped my wallet or left it 3 times at a casino ( crazy i know) luckily once i found it still on the floor, the second time a security guard was holding it, and the third time a couple was playing on the machine i left it on and they kept it there and didnt take it.

memories of at least 2 stays in different decades no less.

I stayed there when it was a hooters. The carpet looks exactly the same as it was then, at least a dozen years ago. The wooden headboards are the same, they used to be white wood. Looks like they’ve had a coat of paint. It smelled horrible back then, can’t imagine it’s gotten any better.
I was hurrassed by a nasty creep at this casino for my 23rd birthday . And when I told security the man ran out like he had a warrant or something. (He was sticking his player card in my slot machine )
A casino I will avoid like the plague! So $107. for the room PLUS a CLASSIC VEGAS RIP-OFF RESORT FEE OF $50!!! I don' think so. Sorry you lost your wallet and mow have to go through the pain in the butt of having to cancel and replace all your cards and docs. Thanks for the video Jorge.

I lost my cell phone in Vegas. Thank goodness I had the funds to get me a new phone. After that experience, I learned to carry two phones on my trips.

I love the bar area there at OYO, the bartenders are cool and drink comps are no issues. That really sucks about your wallet, room temp, and the false advertisement for the table games. They do have $1 video blackjack on the floor which is cool. But I think going here just for the bar and food is good though

I stopped staying on the strip with those prices because I signed up for the players card at The Golden Gate Casino , I get e mail deals for 50 percent off rooms from the golden gate casino I got 4 days - 4 nights for $236.00 . I get to use the pool / jacuzzi at the D Casino and stadium swim at Circa Casino . That’s Sucks Losing And Getting Your Wallet Stolen . I Hope You Win Big Next Time 🎰💰💰💰

I stopped there to kill some time while I was waiting to pick someone up from the airport….my first impression when I walked in was….how is this place still open? It was super ghetto…I sat at a machine and not even my 3rd spin some sketchy looking guy sat by me asking if I wanted to buy an Apple Watch….it was a knock off smh….I barely played $5 of the 20 I put in and decided….I’m better off waiting at the gas station a little closer to the airport….i hope you didn’t actually spend the night there….I’d be afraid to lay on those bed sheets…but thank you for doing this review and warning others….❤

dude i was just there, went on here to see if anyone else was there recently, all 3 of the elevators were broken for the 2 weeks i was there!!! They still have not gave me back my $300 deposit from 2 weeks ago, which seems criminal, i tried to check out after the first day they said they could not refund me but would give me 5 nights of resort fees back i said fine, should of been around $250 have not received anything. Its even worse than your review, hooters is suppose to be open at 6am went there at 7am woman said come back in 20 minutes, all their bars close at 1am on saturday nights, never experienced such shitty customer service. ice machines dont work, the channels on the tv on garbage, i could keep going on, worse hotel experience ever, if anyone is listening please do not go there. I feel like they should be sued.

I do the cross body zipper side in towards me. It’s not the most sexy look but it’s Way safer than a dangling purse or a wallet and phone in my back pocket.

I walked there for food and drinks. A $20 fell out of my pocket and security returned it to me.
What amazes me is that people know the horrible reputation of this place yet they continue to stay here because it is cheap. Oyo is NOT actually on the Strip. It is on Tropicana. I wouldn't stay at Oyo if it was free. It is an absolute dump. Right next door is the ghetto Howard Johnson's and Motel 6.
How can u not record slots? Travel Ruby and Pompsie record slots all the time. They both have information channels and slot channels.
I was always curious about this place because of the cost. But, the elevators not working is a huge F*CK NO! for me and others with disabilities.
Tried to check into the one in Memphis they wouldn't let me stay because I was under 21. The website said 18+ can stay. Ended up hanging with some random guy on the street at night in Memphis.
That sucks about the wallet bro. Someone might mail you your id eventually haha. It happened to me after someone broke into my car. So among the scumbags out there, a few good people remain.
I went there about 20 years ago when it was hooters . You get what you pay for but the room was clean and Casino was fun . Casino lounge bar tender , Sadie , was excellent . She memorized our drinks and always had them ready when we saw her .Looks like it really wen bad . Sorry about the wallet , that sucks . #wulffdendad
I went to mgm was so sad when I lost my wallet went to the lost and found knowing I wasn’t gonna find it and it was there they took like 100 dollars I had haha but I got my ID back and all my cards was grateful even if they took a tip lol 😅 deserved it for my forgetfulness

when in a casino count on thieves ready to swoop. criminals know the obvious, that the security systems are designed to protect the business, not the customer. As shown by the crime being recorded, but no action was possible.
I hesitate to admit it publicly, because of the general shabbiness of concept, but I have gone a couple of times to hooters when in the area, because one can dependably watch a big game there with the sound on, and fandom is fun. The only thing remotely healthy on the menu , last time I went, were the crab legs. And I always tip extra when an unfortunate woman has to exploit her sexuality just to keep a job.
Used to live in Vegas & worked at Park MGM. We would go there after work to drink & play some keno. It was awesome besides the rough crowd that would come & go & the working girls lol. Cheap drinks just stay aware of your surroundings

I stayed there for three days I got to say that the room wasn't the cleanest but my room had a balcony and a decent view the whole hotel smells like cigarettes

The OYO hotel was a Hooter's Hotel 15 years ago and I am sure that changing the name won't do this place any justice.

If it makes you feel better I got robbed twice in Istanbul Turkey 🇹🇷 some years ago, they pick pocketed my wallets so... nothing seems to going well for a lot of people right now including me hopefully it will get good for us all soon anyway we'll catch you on the next

Throughout my years of visiting Vegas, I've never stepped my foot inside this place, and I'll never will! 😅 Sucks about wallet, though. I think the only reason why people stay at this place is they can't afford or don't want to pay to stay at nicer hotels on the Strip.

This place was a scam, they post the room at $21 a night, and when I got there they wanted a $200 deposit and a $40 a night resort fee,so really the room was $ 60 a night with tax, and its was alot of drugs being sold on the property, its was just not a good place to stay,
