Man my lil big bro use to always watch you Quang, he past last year due to a ruptured aortic aneurysm and every time I see your videos it reminds me of him 😢 stay bless
I love how regardless of him being the chef or the content creator he is first and foremost a husband wanting to make sure his wife is happy by checking in on her
As a Vietnamese-American, I actually learned how to make bun bo hue from you. My dad didn't teach me and I have never seen my mom make on her own. So thank you brother!!
Quang, amongst all the negativity in my life, whenever I watch one of your videos it is always so soothing. I love the positive and care-free attitude you share... the awesome recipes are just a bonus. Thank you so much. I hope nothing but the best for you two.
if you want a good enhancement to the rock sugar, my family uses sliced pineapple instead which gives an amazing taste and dimension to the broth. Missing footage on how you assembled the bowl and the sliced cha lua/cabbage
You not only show us how to cook a Vietnamese dish properly but you show us how to cook the meat that goes in it 😋 You never disappoint Quang. I think I'll enjoy this or Pho. Hopefully whoever I try it from; cooks it like you. Job well done and I wish you a great day ahead 🎖️
I can't wait to make this for my friends! I hosted a party of 18 friends and cooked a giant batch of your old ramen recipe and everyone loved it. Can't wait to try this!
I just had the first bowl of Bun Bo Hue in my life, and I immediately fell in love with it, hot dam I want to taste it again when I finish my work. All my life, I thought Bun Cha, Bun Ca were the peaks of Vietnamese noodle soups, but now, they are all just side dishes compared to this heavenly delicious dish
Love BBH. I keep the Vietnamese aunties happy at my local restaurant, order at least once per week. Gonna try make it at home with your recipe. Love from Australia.
Is good! I enjoy it! Edit: I notice that Quang love stuffing himself fully to the maximum until you hear him breath Kinda loudly or say or act of being done finally.
You going to be a great father in terms of foodies you dont need to bring them in a fancy restos because you cook better and you know your ingredients are safe to eat. Wow!!!!!
i wanna ask bout the salted shrimp paste. when would u put it in the broth? when the broth is boiling hot or when its cold? bcus i heard that it should be put in when the broth is cold so that the scent would not be strong and make the broth smell bad
Quang, that’s the best Bun Bo Hue pot! With that much bones and beef and meat, guarantee a very rich broth. Thank you for sharing! Love your enthusiasm and energy!
If I ever visit Canada. I’m gonna come visit you and try your famous BBH!!!! I been watching for years and I kind of miss the noise and the grunts you make while eating lols.
Hi !! Quang & Lynn Happy Sunday evening 😊.. The soup 🍲 looks delicious 😋... I want be able to eat this I am allergic to seafood.. I would have to change the recipe I can't eat pork .. I will use beef and no spicy no pork ... Quang we appreciate you so much for showing us how to do this famous Vietnamese soup 🍲 You are such an awesome cook you have so much patience teaching us how to make different recipes. I never skip anything I watched until the end . You are always going to be my friend you & Lynn have a great night 🌙 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯💯💯🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
You sound like you’d be perfectly suited for Pho instead which when properly done has an amazing broth as well 🍲 (you build your own bowl from the menu).
Hey Quang! Thanks for this upload. This is my favorite soup, however i am a Muslim now and i can't eat pork. I will try it without pork, i bet it will be a little less sweet without the sweetness of the pork bones.
As a 40 yo Chinese who have traveled most of China, and once a rice noodle soup shop owner, I think Vietnamese has better noodles. This is simply because the Chinese don't care much about the authenticity of the soup base. Noodles are treated as quick and cheap eats, like fast food, and for that, nearly all of the soup shops we knew were using seasoning powder. Yes there are real bones and meats but they are compliment and sometimes for show.
Hi guys I have seen also some recipe where girls were using pineapple (I guess for sweetness) and what was very interesting pork blood which was in solid form (clotted blood I believe). I'm not sure if this is like more traditional or from different area for example. Could you please someone explain it little bit?? Thank you
@@cococherrymango1225 one of my favorite soup. I'm lazy to make it so I'll just cheat & make a small pot of it the lazy way with either just any tough beef cut & pig hock or feet, add few spoon of jar bun bo hue sauce mix & jar of the bun bo hue seasoning broth (instead of making the sate sauce). When mom make it its from scratch & I get excited like a child. Cut back sugar & add 1/4 fresh pineapple to your pot to make it richer tasting. It's so delicious..my family is from south vietnam. I believe Quan is from central so his is definitely real deal. Enjoy!
@@cococherrymango1225 Im not sure.... I've never known anyone to use it. Doesn't hurt to try, maybe even cow feet or some other part with bone and connective tissue to make the soup rich with collagen.
I have never ate Vietnam food . Your soup looks delicious . You and your wife are sweating . Because of all the pepper 🌶️. You are eating . Thanks for sharing your recipe . 😊
haha they so cute. i can't wait to move into my new house with my fam. imma make this for the family. my partner can't eat a lotta spice though so i might need to reduce the chilli. thanks Quang
🙈spicy sure looks good! You both makes me what too get some beef stew w/tendon noodles and French bread! I will! For sure Bo Kho from Saigon pho in Honolulu #40 on menu😊 hope Lin is okay 😅spicy! Mahalo for your family and channel! Aloha & Mahalo from Hawaii 🌺🌈🏄🏽♂️🌼😎🌸🤙🏽
I had Bon bo hue for the first time a couple years ago at a viet restaurant. I wasn't really a fan, especially comparing it to the experience of pho. I recall it tasting like Kapoon to me (a thai/lao chicken-curry-coconut base broth vermicelli noodle soup). It was almost like a cross over between pho and kapoon. Actually I usually prefer Kapoon over pho, but bbh is a bit different. I guess it has a similar taste due to all the lemon grass, shallots, chillies and shrimp paste, which normally the avg home cool would just use a store bought thai curry paste, which utilizes these same ingridients except for more like lime leaf, galangal and maybe ginger. Also kapoon utilizes coconut milk (me in particular I like a more coconut milky broth than not). I'll have to give bbh another try some day. Ps. Also btw Quang I'm not sure if you ever made thai/lao kapoon on your channel. Lets go, I'd love to see that. Edit: nvm, I found the video haha. I knew I saw you made kapoon before.

Be proud of your Hue accent. Don’t mask it with Southern or Northern. Few of us left.
@QuangTran those noodles looks like the ones my mother used to use. What brand and where did you get them?

How many litres is both your pots? Also is there anything I can swap the shrimp paste with due to allergies?
lol holding your wife outside the kitchen whilst she harasses you for dinner is relationship goals

How would you compare this to your instant pot version? I did notice that you have additional ingredients like mushroom seasoning and shrimp paste
