Soy impresor y electricista industrial vivo en Nicaragua, ésto madera y metal mi pasatiempo ya tengo 60 y me quedé sin pensión, tengo dos hijos, ahora pienso ganarme la vida haciendo cosas, tengo propio espacio insuficiente y la renta es muy cara inapropiada. Tengo una prensa de esas marca Wilton , no he podido hacer banco bueno el actual las polillas comiendo, tengo proyecto sierra vertical con unos atributos especiales . Nicaragua no es grande mitad es la parte más baja de América mitad colinas y montañas 1200 +/-snm aquí hace calor, tenemos 2 estaciones en verdad estación seca y cuando llueve que no es mucho. Yo no tengo tierras me parece quienes la poseen no interesan convivir armoniosamente. Hablamos castellano oficialmente, en la calle una especie de ello y Nahual. Saludos
The issue is drilling the holes square on the bench itself. You can't use a drill press there. So, he made the chop first with a drill press and used that as a jig to drill into the bench and keep in aligned correctly.
"How to square drill without drill stand"? Then he uses a drill stand to produce the outer jaw vice which doubles as a template for the bench hole locations! 🤦♂️

Before your final assembly, it would have been a good idea to polish and wax the side rods. This will help the vise move in and out easier.

Hmm... seems that you need a drill press to make a jig to sqare drill without a drill press 🤔
Exactly my problem, you always end up needing better tools/jigs that can cut/drill square to make jigs that help you cut/drill square.
