This is a pretty generous on giving everyone 2 5* selector ticket for free, even if you joined the game a month or year late they will give you the 2 5* tickets regardless. To note the first 5* tickect will only allow you to choose four 5* ops and the 2nd 5* ticket is 25. And for newer players i suggest gettin Lappland, Specter & Blue poison or Ptilopsis depending on your team comp.

Not as busted as the 6*s obviously, but Blue Poison can be used in the long term and you'll be fine. And for beginners, she can really be helpful with what she does: Spray poison.

Should I still consider getting Blue Poison even if I have Alter Chen? Im new I rly still dont understand how to position my Ops
@@vynz4366 chalter and blue poison are 2 completely different archetypes and focus on 2 different things. Chalter is for clearing out a massive HP high armored mobs in an aoe with her s3. Whereas blue poison is more suited for a small waves of low armored mobs, has better default range and focusses on drones first before anything else. If you don't have exusiai, archetto then yes. Go pick blue poison or platinum

For new players, Lappland is more valuable than Spectre. The ability to defy death sounds great on paper, but it's more stable and easier to do defender + medic to tank bosses. Lappland's ability to silence is very helpful in the earlier chapters, and having a ground sniper that can convert physical to arts makes Lappland irreplaceable for progression, even for chapters that have silence-immune but high defence enemies.
Spectre really comes online at E2 S2M3 where she gets 3 block and a decent uptime on S2, which requires significant investment for a new player; but Lappland already hits her powerspike at E1 SL7.
Spectre's base skill is useless, but Lappland's base skill is very useful when combined with Texas and Exusiai, and is fairly meta trading post combination.
Finally, Spectre is obtainable through Recruit, but Lappland isn't. Lappland is significantly more difficult to obtain as a result.
Silence isn't her only feature. Lappland is so busted during the early game especially because her S2 deal ARTS dmg while being ground units. Who doesn't know how busted an arts dmg. it's like you have another pseudo caster, especially during the stage which prohibits caster.
Since I started playing I found that Arene does more damage then Lappland and you can manually activate his ability to do arts damage.
Spectre is basically used for high risk CC tanking. I don't think she is that common anymore, but back in the day she was irreplaceable.
It's not as relevant to new players though, and the stun will probably troll them...
The arts damage of lappland is a bit over rated since it cannot be controlled, I would rather use mousse or arene if i need a guard with arts damage

12:34 - Something you failed to mention about Zima's S2. She doesn't just buff every vanguard on the field's ATK and DEF, she also applies the 1 DP on kill buff to all vanguards on the field. This effectively gives all vanguards on the field the trait that normally only charger vanguards have.
the 1 DP on kill goes to all Vanguard units? I thought that part only applied to Zima herself, I have Zima and I never knew this😂
@@K1ller_Whale610 It's because of how the skill description is worded (specifically the punctuation), because the game still has a bunch of bad localization in it.

@@luc4907 the order of arknights Global does not follow the order of CN exactly but we'll get around to it eventually. they rename some things sometimes like the chinesse new year log in events or whatever. but we get the events. they did FAR more shuffling in Year 1 anniversary, which is why we got 2 limited operators so close together (skadi alter and chen alter) so that CN could get a limited for their anniversary (skadi) and we get chen for our anniversary. without messing with the schedule as much. we only lost two minor events this time, vigilio and a rerun which can be shoved wherever.. and will probably fill some dead week slot in the near future after the 3 week farming event ends.

i do want to add something for blue poison:
as a bp simp, i have her completely maxed. e2 80, m6, pot 6, trust 200%, etc. her arts damage is basically negligible compared to her main attack. compared to *any* caster, except burst and drone casters not on skill, her arts damage is nothing (85 per hit at pot 5, 255 if she does not attack that enemy again). to sum it up, her arts damage is not her main point, and barely qualifies as a side point.
her main specialty is multi target. this multitarget is so much more noticeable and effective than the measly 85 arts damage that gets tacked on to her 500 or so attack (~1k to two targets at s1m3, ~750 to three targets at s2m3, plus another 750 to her main target).
i like how BP has always been in my squad, and during my trip from lvl 0 to lvl 66
i got her from starter banner, she was really good ngl, ignores tanky enemies and does high damage
Man I think meteorite deserves to be a rung higher. She was my aoe rock in annhilation until I got W. That skill 1 is deceptively strong. Everything else on this list is definitely accurate.
Agreed, you can even offset the dp cost with elysium

Nah, I think Kukki's placement was correct given that he was considering the choice from a new player's perspective. Speaking as someone who actually did start the game with Meteorite back during Under Tides, I thought she would be a perfect companion to Exusiai (my first 6-star). However, early on Meteorite's damage output wasn't high enough to justify her DP cost, which pre-Myrtle was hard to pay for. Consequently, I wound up benching her for Meteor and then Platinum who both yielded a bigger ROI prior to E2 and had a much easier time progressing. However, now that I can realistically pull operators up to E2 and build their skill levels, I've found myself looking at her increasingly favorably. So, given how late Meteorite peaks, I'd place her in the middle tier of the list: strong character, but usually not one to seek immediately.
I kinda had the opposite of Philosogamer, teaming Meteorite with 12f, Lava, Gitano, and a hecka a lot of vanguards... It was a very strong combo early game, but there's less and less massed rushes as the game moves on, or they are a bunch of medium enemies and a couple real big chonkers that do better with rapid single targets to just keep numbers down so they dont overwhelm your defender's block count.
@@ThePhilosogamer Well tbf, Meteorite is a bad pick for Under Tides event. Try using her on something like Annihilation 2 or 3 map, and you will see her true worth (or if you start sooner, she can annihilate the annoying RB6 never ending mob rush for you). She is an AoE sniper. She is the best pick when you need to fight a large wave of enemies (she can even deal damage to high armored enemies if you invest on her skill). Her raw power will benefit you if you use her on the right map. And for newbies, she is the best pick out of the pool for AoE dps need.
A bit of high cost tip of making Meteorite busted: Pick her S1, then bring Ch'en (the guard one) and Archetto with her. Annihilation 3 map is the perfect map for this setup as Meteorite will melt those thicc Defense Crushers. Skill 1 >>> Skill 2 most of the time btw
I think from the 4 op pick, I will choose Liskarm, and for this one, choose Lappland. This will put both at Pot 6, and since I have both at E2 they are operators I've invested into. Obviously summons could give me them anyway, so it will be beholden upon that.

For the newer players I would suggest on getting either Lappland, Specter or Ptilopsis depending on your team comp.
when I was starting out I was really struggling because I don't have any of them, they can really make your runs easier.
That said, I still don't have Ptilopsis after a long time so she's definitely the one I'm going for
So,I just started this game open week ago and I should be thankful this game, I got all of these in just one week of playing .I even got Pallas(6*) just in one headhunting pass. What a luck.
Prioritize Lappland, since it's kinda hard to get a decent art dps early on. Unless you're content with that 3 stars ikemen.

As someone that has played for just a little over a year and didn't get the luxury of owning SA or Thorns until at least 7 months into playing the game, Lappland is a lifesaver in the early game. Even in the late game she is still good because her Wolf Spirit can tear through things like heavy defenders, which is something SA or Thorns can't compete with unless they're maxed out.
Thank you very much for the recommendations! I'm a mid game player but I haven't had too much experience with five stars I don't own as I tend to try and clear stages using my own units / strategies. Either going for Lappland, Spectre or Nearl (Because I like her character alot).

Well as a collector, I have collected all 5 star OPs on this ticket all at pot6, the only one I don’t have at pot6 is Warfarin. So she is the only pick for me.
I would have to recommend lappland and Ptilopsis. They helped out greatly early game. I still use Ptilopsis as a main healer!

Excellent list. The explanations were easy to follow. Even though it was targeted for newer players, I think the comments added made it a fine starting place for veterans as well. Also, just grab Specter if you don't have her. Even if you have Blaze, get Specter!
Main concern I have is for project Red… It’s really bad…
I'm definitely going for blue poison, I was fascinated by her design when I started playing.
She's fantastic with her s1. Basically a Kroos on steroids.
Also her skin has the most impressive design i might say
@@QuickQuips both s1 and s2 are worth investing, each bringing to the table a benefit. S1 is consistent drop and forget skill while s2 brings a powerful burst of death that rivals that of even Archetto which is considered an upgrade to blue poison, still, for the longest time my go to sniper operators was exusiai and blue poison. Until Ash came, which in my opinion says a lot about Blue Poison as a potent power house of a sniper.

To me everyone on the second tier (except for Warfarin, who i'd replace with Silence to complete what Im about to say) is far more important and game changing than Specter.
The reason being, not because Specter lacks in power, but from experience, once you get Blaze you will hardly ever use Specter again (I mean you CAN, but you wont need to in the least), save for the few moments where you need her undying skill, BUT, not only is that easy to work around, but once you get Surtr, you wont need even that aspect of her anymore.
And the reason Im saying this is because Surtr and Blaze are both meta units and very popular waifus, most players aim for them.
Now that the "why she might not be as good on the long run" is done, lemme explain why the others ARE:
Any of the others I mentioned who imo are better, are operators that basically cant be replaced:
Lappy has nobody that silences so easily, literally on every auto, with a huge dps of arts dmg, you cant replace her eevn with 6*
Ptilopsis has one of the best talents in the game, I mean she cuts down the CD time of every operator globally by 30%, just by being deployed, its just not getting replaced.
Silence has no other medic that can cover so much map with high amounts of AOE healing periodically.
BP is the best mixed dmg sniper that also shines at multitargeting, at least at mixed dmg she doesnt get bested, even Exu is kinda wack with huge armored unless buffed.
And Platinum is the only sniper to permanently go into an AOE sniper range.
I feel none of these get replaced, because I literally have all the 6* I wanted and still dont stop using these 5*.

Getting Project Red as I do not have her from the 4 specific selector, and probably getting Lapland from the general one as I do not have a good ranged guard, plus Lapland goes crazy with Exu and Texas in the trading post.

From the 1st selector, I recommend Silence, and from the 2nd selector Lappland.
Can't go wrong with those two. Still using both of them.
Silence single target heal, with an AOE heal drone you can place anywhere, will save you many times.
And Lappu will carry you through A LOT of maps.
Meteorite is also a good choice cuz of her AOE, but need M3 her skill to prong her max usability.
THAT SAID, like always go for someone you really want, for example Zima is one of my favourites, so I would be considering getting her, if I didn't have her yet.
I will probably take Platinum myself, since I don't have her yet, and she cute *_*

I'll finally be getting ptilopsis, who synergizes with some ops I have with long windup times, like Carnelian, and Skalter. She doesn't help my Thorns, sure, but he is in the minority, and getting another AOE medic sounds pretty good.

something funny that happened to me at the beginning of this event was that when I pulled for la pluma I got project red, platinum, specter, nearl so I chose ptilopsis and liskarm.

I created a arknight smurf account and for beginners Lappland and Silence is the best 2 pick so far because of their early e1 powerspike and thier synergy in many comps.
Early-on in the the game the main struggle is that of a lack of versetality/flexibility in team composition. For example, when many heavy unit come on the map and your only good option is amiya or maybe even that you dont have the mats to raise another medic...for x reason.
1 lappland : E1 can do art damage, hit drones, and for the lane holding potential.
2 Silence : drones relieves a hot of pressure from any pat of the map
Early dp generation isnt something to worry about yet. (Pre Patriot ark) so no elysium
I strongly agree on Warfarin since she's a really good medic and buffer but I also recommend Silence too since she has a skill that spawns a drone that heals on area but u need a good vanguard operator that generates dp to keep using that skill.
All of them was good but i have some recommendation correction
1. Meteorite, it have to be in "YES" Tier.. because the only replacement is W and W is limited character, not all people can get her under 200 pull pity, so she the only one to replace W for AoE sniper. another than her mostly 4 star which easier to get them. But W is hard unless you want to buy someone old abandoned account at well, i can say "black market" like FB, Discord, etc. Because it's bit illegal and do it with your own risk.
2. Ptilopsis also better at Yes tier because she was good multi target healer and her skill 2 was best one, it increase her attack speed which heal faster and increase her range one tile on front of her. Other one who can do same but great replacement was Nightingale.
3. Silence should be at Good Choice Tier.... Her second skill was helpfull because she can summon one healing drone at all deployable tile. So she can heal other operator out of her attack range.
4. Franka and Skyfire at it's okay tier.... They both can help clearing enemy of you don't have any other replacement. Franka is outclassed by Skadi but she was 6 star so pretty hard to get. She also have talent that Ignore enemy def stat.
Skyfire was best budget AoE Caster because her skill 2 can give mini stun.... If timing was correct she can cancel some annoying enemy attack like defense crusher. Allowing you to kill him before his hammer tingling red. But, she now outclassed by Lava alter the Purgatory which also 5 stars. Too bad that lava alter only can be recruited at Who is Real event and the ironic one was...... Dusk is outclassed all AoE Caster at same archetype.
That's it i give you some opinion to rethink based strong reason to pretty bad one because my own experience may different with your.

About Meteorite,this tier list is from a new player's perspective, so it would be better to get the other snipers like BP and Platinum since most enemies have low def.

Since they dont have access to nukes like surtr eyja silverdaddy and the likes, they need good consistent aoe damage. Its like how everyone used to use lava + defender while starting out coz st dps was just not strong enough to kill the large number of enemies
Bought IT Zima skin while completely forgetting I don't have her, probably gonna go for her instead for this selector ticket, not to mention I actually have all the other operators listed on the ticket.
I was torn between platinum or blue poison but those sweet 4 grid attack range are just *chef kiss 👌🏾

I have been using Blue Poison since the second week of the game, and she is the only 5* on this ticket I still use regularly. While I did get her initially very early, I have never pulled a pot for her. The only pot on her were the 5* sniper tokens from CC, so she will be getting a pot from this. Most of the other 5*s on this list I have at pot 5 - 6 already.
Going for ptilopsis or Nearl, i got Spectre, lappland and Blue Poison(love her she my only max lv E2 op and was my first 5*)
i recommend pulling before using these tickets(assuming that you’ll pull in the ch’alter banner), who knows who you might get while pulling in the banner?

I've used firewatch for quite some time. The very big range is useful for coverage, and going invisible means that she literally cannot die. She's very good against casters as well. I am finding that Ambrill with the global range skill can very much compete with firewatch, but going invisible is still very strong.
Been planning to have Red for a while now... Definitely gonna grab Specter not only for her skills, but just to complete the Gladiia, Skalter, Specter team... (Still don't have Skadi)
Either gonna get Specter or BP. If I didn't already have Ptilopsis, I'd definitely go for her. Good thing I got her early on (when I was LVL 10 or smth idk)
I think something people don't mention about Warfarin enough is that if an enemy dies in her healing range she and a random operator in that range will get 2sp. It's AMAZING for operators using offensive or defensive sp charge skills, or just in general.
I sometimes deploy Warfarin just for the talent, then retreat and redeploy her to use the 90% atk buff (and the buff is also busted and amazing). Such an underrated medic, I cannot recommend her enough. Imo? Specter > Warfarin = Ptilopsis, as in I think they're equals as operators.
I’m still new at arknights so it’s nice to know that choosing warfarin is not bad. And I already had Specter so I’m happy with this list

Im really thorn between Lappland, Platinum and Blue poison, Lappland seem really good for me, and im confident i will find a lot of uses for her, BP and Plat because i really lack a secondary sniper, Exulsai can manage very well herself, but in some maps where i would need more coverage i wouldnt mind them, Platinum is my go to because i love her art and her range, but i cannot sleep on BP Either, ive used one from a friend and it does what it says, no more no less.
I got SilverAsh, Lapland from headhunting first 10 free pull and i'm so proud of it although I just end up wasting them in operators category ;) I'm news with this game.

I'm really torn because I'm missing two operators on this list. Specter is the only abyssal hunter I don't currently own along with her great kit. Then there's Warfrainn that synergies with Aak who spooked me. Team Bloodborne or Team harmacist?
I made a big pishap when choosing which operator to pick. I unintentionally recruited warfarin but my medics were already enough.
Don't forget if you pair up Specter with Gladiia her self heal goes up another 2,5%

With Il Siracusano event coming in the next 6 months Nearl should go from acceptable to good choice, right? Since we'll be able to deploy alters and "OGs" together
I think FEater does have a niche over both Shaw and Weedy, since she is able to pure stall much better than the two of them due to her slow. (though you would probably use both Weedy and her)
1 thing I didn't hear mentioned about Specter and kind of a big deal, is that she blocks 3 at E2.
Something guards aren't supposed to be doing, only defenders. (minus the champion defenders)
The only other guard in the game to block 3 is Blaze, which is the 6 star version of specter (in a way)

I just found out about these tickets yesterday lmao. I ended up using my picks for collection purposes. I did think about picking dupes but oh well lol. I chose Project Red with the first 5 star ticket. Then I chose Specter for this ticket. Got to get that 200 trust for her alt in the future

Im kinda having trouble to decide who i will pick. Right now i really need a good AOE guard ,ranged guard ,or a slightly better Single target Healer (right now my main healers are Ptiilopsis and Folinic, and Folinic isn't rlly that good even with S1 only) i somewhat need a second sniper that priotizes flying enemies cause right now i only have Platinum and my second sniper is Schwarz (used to use Provence before too but i recently got Schwarz ).
Something to note is that im going to roll the limited banner to get La Pluma, she seems strong as hell ,will she solve my need of an AoE guard ? Im thinking of picking Specter ,Lapland or Warfarin.

In my account I'm missing Specter, Warfarin BP and Franka. Specter seems the obvious choice at first, but I do have a well built Blaze. I haven't felt the need to use specter's invincibility so far in most of my strategies. But i have felt the need of Warfarin's S2 a lot. Because, I really like to buff my operators specially with Skalter, Aak and Nian. So, I personally would be going for Warfarin over Specter. But I agree with your tier-list especially for beginners. Since most beginners go for stall strategies since they don't have that much DPS.

hmm, i dont know if i should regret it or not by not watching this before choosing Ptilopsis as a new player. because i've watched your video about classes and branches for new players and i saw that building 1 aoe guard would be enough and i have Estelle which is gold framed so i didnt pick Specter... but well, Ptilopsis is still pretty much good according to this tier list so i dont think i've made a bad choice. also, thank you very much for your guides. you've been very helpful for new players who watched your video and for that, you've gained a new subscriber.

can i ask something ? i have kal'tsit as my main and skalter as main healer + support buff + gladia, do i have to pick immortal nun (combo from fish clan) or warfarin ? since i want my originium space rayquaza (as mr rhodey mention) getting her daily steroid from skalter and extra dose from viagra from warfarin.

i started 2 months ago, had one more pinboard mission of the phase to do: "get a dorm to 4000 affinity". i just kept telling myself ill do it another time since id rather spend LMD on raising operators
...i had no idea the phase after that mission would give me a free texas 🙃
I spent gold certs on Texas a few days ago just so I can have another good vanguard, and I just hit this phase of the pinboard missions.

looks like my choices are narrowed down to Warfarin, Lappland, and Blue Poison. I already have a Specter, Platinum, and Ptilopsis, and a few of the lower tier units on the list, I really want FEater, but she'll come to my account eventually. my account started really strong, I only own 3 6 stars; SilverAsh, Ch'en, and Ch'en alt and I'm a newer f2p player so I prefer getting new units instead of pots. Not to mention most of the units on the can be obtained through recruitment so I might go with Lappland here

I am grabbing Blue Poison as well. Somehow, she is the only operator on this list that I have not pulled in the past two years. And she was one of the first operators that I wanted!

Add guard Ch'en, and Blue Poison will be 2x more toxic lol. I'm a big fan of Archetto + Ch'en + any sniper with sp-on-attack skills. The SP gain is satisfying.

I would personally swap Nearl and Warfarin. Warfarin has huge power on paper, but she has one huge problem. Most all of her strength becomes incredibly RNG if more than one target is in her range. This makes her placement hugely awkward on many maps and often means you also need to bring a second medic since she's rammed up the butt of one dps. The positioning requirements and extra team slots she often requires, along with not allowing Medic ban in CC means she's a hard fit into a lot of map comps. She can be immensely powerful, but she's like Aak in that you have to jump through a fair few hoops to get it deployed. Warfarin isn't very good early in the game when you have no great dps (and her healing mode tends to squander charges quickly and not have enough to hold hard waves), but she's also pretty outclassed later in the game when you have collected powerhouse buffers/debuffers who aren't as pain in the ass to use.
Nearl, on the other hand, is very simple and very reliable. Lots of CC strats love banning medics since there's like one big powerhouse in that category with Kaltsit. Healing defenders unlock a lot of smaller team size strats also by compressing the front liner with the medic role along with being flexible healers as ground operators. Since Saria is often also busy being buffer with her S3, having a second medic defender is really still pretty important. Nearl is also a big upgrade over Gummy due to her below 50% clause, which prevents her from squandering heals needlessly unlike Gummy who is often out of charges during the big wave.
Platinum might also be a tad high. She's still not a true anti armor physical damage dealer, unlike something like Schwarz or Silver Ash, and will still usually not do well if hardened enemies show up. Her long range can cheese some maps, but it's super map dependent and not that common. Due to lacking multitarget, she also can still be prone to being overrun by huge drone waves, which is one of the most lethal things drones actually do. Platinum has her stages where she shines, but plenty where she isn't noticeably better than other sniper picks. I feel like BP is significantly more effective in day to day random maps due to her reliable constant multitargeting.
New players aren't going to consider "medic bans" or squad size compression, these are all tech decisions that are only relevant to endgame players.
Medic bans are also really not that common for W1R18 clears.
Gummy and Spot are considered really great medic defenders specifically there are almost no scenarios in game where you need Nearl over running these two that new players need to consider, and have lesser investment involved to be useful.
There are so many replacement for healing defender so it is reasonable to lower her tier by1
On the other side, theres not so many medic have "emergency healing" like warfarin s1 does (and also saria s1)
I wouldn't move Nearl up to be honest. Nearl's healing is great, and the global healing buff is awesome, but her abilities to actually tank as a Defender are pretty mediocre. At max level max trust, she only has 625 DEF, which is worse than Cuora at E1 L60. When she's only good at half her job (remember Healing AND Defender), I think it's perfectly reasonable to place her where she is.
@@cat-vv9xb I'd disagree. Gummy and Spot are significantly worse for hard content than Nearl. You generally don't need medic defenders for normal content since you have the time and deploy size to field actual medics. Nearl might be a pick more for challenge content, but the same can be said of Specter, since most non challenge content doesn't need hard invincibility. Same for warfarin and buffing. Same with Ptlopsis. If your strategy doesn't hinge on specific sp timings/interactions, she's little different to perfumer.
@@kemalaji2132 Warfarin's emergency heal function isn't really uniquely special. It ultimately comes down to she can heal a lot in a short but totally uncontrolled burst, which a lot of other medics can do. Unlike damage, extra healing when you don't really need it doesn't do much at all.
Medic defenders have replacements, but you need medic defenders in hard content, where Nearl's strengths make her preferable to her lower rarity counterparts.

Veteran player, Dunno whether to go for lappy, or red/liskarm/plat pots.. just one away from full pot for platinum but red and liskarm can benefit from dp reduction

I am semi veteran and confused whether to get Warfarin or Platinum.
I am fascinated by Plat range, seems very useful in many stages, but since I have Exu and no Aak, maybe I should pick Warfarin. 🤔

I'm a having a similar problem deciding but the difference is I got spooked by Aak so Warfrainn is super tempting. I suggest holding off on using the ticket and praying you pull either of the operators.
I was initially so happy when I heard about this but then I learnt that you are only limited to 25 Operators. I just need Kirara and Iris to complete my collection.
Soo I'm really stuck between specter and lappland, I already have a surtr, so should I still go for specter?
