I have a 2019 bobber black and fitted a rear fox shock and I can tell you that it’s definitely true it transformed the bike ….The very nature of the bike by design is going to unlike those horrible deep pot holes but the fox shock handles 90% of them well …honestly it will be the best up grade you can do to the bobber and it will be money well spent …ride safe all the best

Good feedback. I think it's probably a necessary upgrade at this point rather than an indulgence

Got a 2017 Bobber, agree with the shock issues... its pants... Hagon unit on the horizon, and the rear light/no plate hanger was swapped for a BAAK item... tidies up the rear end a treat... a small Dart screen keeps the wind blast down on open roads...

Let me know how the Hagon shock works out. I've been looking at some different brands myself recently.

I love my 2024 Triumph Bobber, but I had a relatively serious accident three days ago. No one was injured, but the cost of repairs is 50% of the cost of a new motorcycle! The insurance company wanted to total the motorcycle to save money. I had to replace the front and rear fenders, replace the custom-painted tank and replace one silencer on the right side. There are two issues that should be immediately addressed. First, the seat and mono-shock are (as you say) brutal! Second, the gearing is way too high! Who rides at 151 kph in 5th and 171 kph in 6th?

Get yourself a Fox shock for the rear suspension and I be.I’ve that you will feel a big difference in the handling. Also, a small Dart fly shield will block about 30% of the direct wind force that hits your chest area at higher speeds while on the open road.

1300 miles over eight months is about 160 miles a month, or about 40 miles each weekend. I will be interested in your thoughts after 13,000 miles, in about 73 months (six years).

I´m 5 minutes from being outside of the city, and i only plan on cruising at sensible speeds. (I´m 47 yo) So based on your feedback it sounds perfect for me.

At about 10:26 you said what was the worst part of the bike....rear linked crossed(?). What is that?
I am amazed at the filtering you do... not legal here yet (SC in USA), but maybe someday.
Love the looks of the Bobber, especially the transverse engine design vs the inline V2 (Harley, Indian). Just seems 'more right!' But for US roads I'll have to stick with my S&S powered Softail until Bobber enlarges the fuel tank (more range) and fits them with cast wheels so I can plug a flat tire instead of ruining the whole day.
    Thanks for a great video!

      The rear light cluster.
I just think they are too big and spoil the aesthetic of the bike.
When I took my bike licence I was actively encouraged by the examiner to do more filtering.
I think it must be infuriating if you can't do it. That's one of the best bits of being on a bike 👍

Did you sell it or keep it?

I have Wlbers 640 rear and Matrix F20k front and they are better but there's no fixing the lack of travel (in hindsight I would recommend going with Nitron). Triumph needs to raise the seat height 1 or 1.5 inches and use that for more suspension travel and lean angle. I'm 1 year in and many upgrades later this platform is a huge disappointment. Everyone loves the look but it's not rideable unless you have perfect roads and don't want to lean over.

Hi. I’m trying to contact you about your bike but your Autotrader ad has now come off. Any ideas how to share contact details without overly publicising? Thanks Steve

      Good question!
I tried googling the answer and it seems the message function on here was disabled in 2018!? Weird.
Bit of a pain but if you have FB you can join the bobber addicts page and I can speak to you through there.

Are you on LinkedIn? I don’t have Facebook and I’ve tried sending you a couple of messages back through this link but I don’t think they’re getting through to you.

    Who made your heated grips?

    • @MaximumProductions70
      @MaximumProductions70 2 года назад

They are from triumph. They come as standard on the bonnie but sadly not on thr bobber. Very discreet and look like the normal grips with a tiny button. But nice and warm.
When you turn them on a message on the dash tells you they are on.
