    I love my 2024 Triumph Bobber, but I had a relatively serious accident three days ago. No one was injured, but the cost of repairs is 50% of the cost of a new motorcycle! The insurance company wanted to total the motorcycle to save money. I had to replace the front and rear fenders, replace the custom-painted tank and replace one silencer on the right side. There are two issues that should be immediately addressed. First, the seat and mono-shock are (as you say) brutal! Second, the gearing is way too high! Who rides at 151 kph in 5th and 171 kph in 6th?

    Here is a list of things I addressed on my 2024 Triumph Bobber. Suspension too stiff: I installed a YSS adjustable (Preload and rebound) shock. Seat too hard: I installed a quilted padded Triumph seat. Reach too far from the seat: I installed up-and-back Triumph bar raisers. Installed forward foot controls. The sound is underwhelming: I installed a Motone X-pipe and tuned the ECU. Gearing too high. I am planning to install 16T front and 39T rear sprockets to lower gearing.

    Get yourself a Fox shock for the rear suspension and I be.I’ve that you will feel a big difference in the handling. Also, a small Dart fly shield will block about 30% of the direct wind force that hits your chest area at higher speeds while on the open road.

    A year or so on, do you still have the bobber? Like it or not? I recently swapped my Z900RS for a 2022 bobber. The only negative for me, suspension, I changed the rear for a Fox and have it in the softest rebound, changed the seat for triumphs comfort seat, and if going any distance I add a seat cushion. Coming from a 4 cylinder Kawasaki I was surprised at the vibration of a 2 cylinder 170 degree engine, but have grown to love it. The engine does give off heat, I put that down to the radiator fins doing a good job assisting the liquid cooling. Looks wise I wouldn’t change anything, for me it’s perfect as factory. The exhaust tone is musical, perfect. It’s performance is geared to real world usage, it’s happy at any legal speed and has the torque to overtake with ease. The best thing I can say about it is, whenever I ride it I smile, or laugh out loud!

    I have Wlbers 640 rear and Matrix F20k front and they are better but there's no fixing the lack of travel (in hindsight I would recommend going with Nitron). Triumph needs to raise the seat height 1 or 1.5 inches and use that for more suspension travel and lean angle. I'm 1 year in and many upgrades later this platform is a huge disappointment. Everyone loves the look but it's not rideable unless you have perfect roads and don't want to lean over.

    Got a 2017 Bobber, agree with the shock issues... its pants... Hagon unit on the horizon, and the rear light/no plate hanger was swapped for a BAAK item... tidies up the rear end a treat... a small Dart screen keeps the wind blast down on open roads...

    At about 10:26 you said what was the worst part of the bike....rear linked crossed(?). What is that? I am amazed at the filtering you do... not legal here yet (SC in USA), but maybe someday. Love the looks of the Bobber, especially the transverse engine design vs the inline V2 (Harley, Indian). Just seems 'more right!' But for US roads I'll have to stick with my S&S powered Softail until Bobber enlarges the fuel tank (more range) and fits them with cast wheels so I can plug a flat tire instead of ruining the whole day. Thanks for a great video!

    • @MaximumProductions70
      @MaximumProductions70 2 года назад

      The rear light cluster. I just think they are too big and spoil the aesthetic of the bike. When I took my bike licence I was actively encouraged by the examiner to do more filtering. I think it must be infuriating if you can't do it. That's one of the best bits of being on a bike 👍

      An interesting question. I'd not say i was obsessed. But i suppose I just enjoy the challenge it brings. I'd say there are many different ways to ride a motorbike. But as there are no rolling hills or areas of natural beauty nearby, just cruising along doesn't offer the enjoyment it once did.
