For the posting of photo in criminal garb, from my anecdotal experience talking to a sizable amount of older people, there is nothing wrong with that and the census is ‘if you’ve done something wrong it’s what you’ll get’ kind of scenario. Some even view this as just: as he ‘got off easily’ with 1 year while tarnishing SG’s incorruptibility image. Worrying about how his family might take it is a good and moral thing to think about, but about his future prospects? That’s for him to worry about.
Love the small talk and the chapters are great if i want to skip. The rest of the western world can learn from how Singapore government operates. Cheers from the land down under.
Once a person is convicted and in prison wear it is inappropriate to circulate their image in that wear, though his actions are unethical it’s not criminal. To circulated will haunt his family and reputation way beyond his prison term. Such an action of taking image of a prisoner in a prison environment should be treated seriously and weeded out as it can compromise the system. In my humble opinion at least.😊
Only two ways to explain why the Prison CCTV footage of Iswaran in prison wear in his cell found it's way in the internet. 1) Someone higher up outside the Prison Authorities allowed the CCTV footage to leak into the public to show proof that Iswaran was not enjoying any concession or privileges in Prison. This was a bad idea and a blunder by the SOP, to allow such a thing under his watch. An apology to Iswaran and his family is warranted. It's a breach of Prison protocol. Come to think of it, 1) is more plausible than 2) This is the far fetched idea of some prison staff copying the CCTV footage and posting it on the internet. An internal or external investigation can easier trail it back to the culprit. So 1) is the more likely possibility than 2). This is liable criminally.
@ Logan Lee. What do you think of the prison CCTV footage circulating in the net of Iswaran in his cell. And what do in think of inmate's right in our penitentiary and prison system. Excluding the right to food and medication
As he was once a Minister Of Home Affairs.. I suggest that Mr Iswaran should have the privilege to be dressed in the classic Black & White strips prison garment with an Iron Ball and chain attached to his ankle.
BTW, it's not uncommon to find, rogue prison wardens, prison officer and even Superindentents serving jail time as inmates in prison they once guarded. A prison officer was sentenced to 10 years for killing a inmate.
@@LonganLee The 'yes' part you have answer yourself eloquently and factually. Yes I agree. I tell you the No part. No special treatment because there are precedent for 'Fallen' ex-minister in jail kept apart from the inmates community. Assigned to single cell and yard time. They do not mingle with other inmates. For their own safety and security. It's a precaution. Not only for ministers but also for the lower echelon of officers in government services. Like detectives in the police force and CNB kias who through their roles have make arrests but now found themselves in jail for whatever reason. These people are susceptible to revenge attack by inmates if not kept apart.
Someone made a bold claim that sg is Incorruptible. Now, lets look at the fact that English is Ambiguous and try to correlate the two. 1. What does sg is incorruptible mean? There are corruptions. So what does incorruptible mean?
So the ex minister given a special arrangement not typical for inmates . Is it fair to say he IS GIVEN SPECIAL treatment by virtue of the special arrangement ?
Yes, because if each inmates has this privilege of each to a cell Changi prison will be full and overcrowded. Time will tell if Iswaran is selected for home detention to make his short jail time even shorter.
Regarding the altercation with the car driver, I like to use this chance to say , almost EVERY CAR DRIVER breaks traffic rules almost everyday if not everyday. Eg. Not signalling to riders who are infront or behind them. This can lead to riders thinking he is not turning and going straight. This , in worst case scenario , can cause death. Its so blatantly ominoresent a problem that drivers themselves have no face to deny it. The more thickskinned ones will give lousy excuses like they scared others will make their lanechange difficult if they know where they turning to. But law breaking is law breaking. The root cause is ugly singaporean selfishness. Morally bankrupt crooks. I dare challenge all car drivers to debunk me what I observed is untrue. Other common traffic rule breaking by Singapore drivers: 1. Illegally parking anywhere such as on double yellow lines, parking lots for disabled or delivery vehicles. 2. Illegal U-turns. 3. Disregarding Red light on small roads where it's easy to get away. 4. As pedestrian, crossing road when the green man light if not on . I can go on and on. As you lousy drivers can see, you are freakin guilty as charged and you have no right to criticise anyone on the road because you yourself is a freakin lousy example for your children
The whole talking point should be how the prison CCTV of Iswaran in prison garb inside his cell got smuggled out into public for all to see. However you two deliberately choose to ignore this and talk 3 and talk 4 nonsense. If you two want to sabotage your own credibility. Go ahead.

Who can take photo in Changi Prison? and who is authorised to release such photo?
Maybe it’s just photoshopped, not real photo

No, SI family should take note and complain to Home Affairs and demand to know why this is happening inside Changi Prison.
You mean that SI is given special arrangement?
@@LonganLee Yes and No. I will response later. this short answer will do for the time. I will see what others say .
