Used my new @Corter and Bucklguy 5mm stitching chisels on two small projects over the weekend. They are everything you said they would be. Easy to hold. Great hole shape. Substantial to hold in the hand. Terrific. I have never had a 9 hole punch before. Now I do. Oh, I made a simple chisel sleeve/pouch holder for them. Excellent! Near perfect design. Appreciated it.
Nice work! I am totally in love with that leather. Customers gravitate toward it. It feels great. I burnish it with and without edge paint and think it does pretty well.
It is interesting when you use the chrome tan leather. I haven’t used any as I have unfounded fears about using it!!! Movies like this deffo give me confidence to give it a go though. I’m still in Japan but my chisels have arrived at home in New Zealand. Can’t wait to try them Eric.
Was thinking about doing this, but I see a lot of comments on other videos that mix materials and always the "lifespan" of the non-leather material is brought into question. The canvas likely will wear out before the leather, but (depending on use / user) how much sooner? Given how it's used here, I'm not sure it would wear out in my lifetime. It definitely will last longer than the crappy polyester lining found in most mass-market wallets today.
This was really beautiful. The only thing that could have made it better is to add some kind of RFID blocking material in there for the cards. Thank you for the tutorial!
Idk if you've ever heard of the band "The Oh Hellos", but I've always thought your voice reminded me of the male lead singer's voice. Check out, like, "Cold Is the Night" or "Eat You Alive" for reference. He sounds a little bit higher than you, but I could see you singing in that range too 🤷🏻♂️
I'm fond of the same method when it comes to 'non-leather' linings. A nice close fit is best. However when it comes to leather linings (I use a lot of Sully goat for this), I prefer using bonding agent on the corners. Largely because leather liners get stretch marks attempting to accommodate flexing. Which, with a grainy material may not even show up much, but if one uses a smooth leather they become 'very' noteworthy. Cheers!🍺👍
Any advice on finishing horween chromexcel/ cavalier leather? Been working with it for about a month and just losing my mind trying to get edges burnished to a point im comfortable with.
Doing the bare minimum, what would a novice charge for this item? Just looking for a ballpark suggestion as the amount of work on this is about the middle ground I've been doing.
Great design! I really enjoy your work. I have seen passport wallets that have RFID blocking in them. Is that a different fabric that you could line the wallet with, to make it more protected? Thanks!

Compliments. This work is very nice! 👍
What a smart looking design! And the tip on burning off the fuzzy bits of the leather 🤯 Definitely looking forward to giving this a go

Hi corter… its a good template.
If you're just doing a utility edge you can possibly save a step and use brown tokonole. Really depends on the leather though.
Interesting video, thanks mate !
Thank you so much for sharing this knowledge
Неожиданно, свежий взгляд, круто!

What edge dye is in the dye marker? Any mixing or as is?

Hi, do you sell the patterns for laser cutting?
I didn't hear what onz leather you used
Isn’t Barge Cement (glue) toxic??
definitely do not eat a lot of it
The vapor is for sure. I think Eric has been using toluene free barge for a while now though.

Thank you. I’ll look for toluene free Barge cement❤️
Love your work. Getting seasick from this video. Use a tripod please.
