I felt the same way I bought my first Viper. I'll never forget that drive home from the dealer, I may as well have been driving home in a Regera. Felt like a million bucks. Couldn't pull the smile off her face with a tractor last night 😄. Ms. Sneaky used to work as a copyrighter in the her past life, and this has been her dream car ever since she first laid eyes on it. She used to drool over it in marketing materials when putting together spots for local dealers. Didn't think some years down the road she'd be driving hers home.

This video really shows what a “dream car” is to a petrol head. We don’t necessarily dream of owning something absurdly fast and extremely modern, we dream of the car that just puts a big smile on our face and this video shows that. The BMW i8 isn’t the fastest car, it doesn’t make the best noise, and from some angles it isn’t even particularly good looking and yet your wife just didn’t care about any of that, she was so happy to have it and that was all that mattered.
That’s what a dream car really is, it’s the car that always makes you smile. For some that dream car is a classic Shelby or Bel Air, some people dream of owning a rough growling muscle car, some want a massive pickup truck and some want a big luxurious Range Rover or Bentley. Some people want to bolt down a coastal road in a lightning fast Lamborghini or McLaren whereas some would prefer to cruise around town in a cozy Cadillac. That’s what I think is so special about being a car enthusiast. Cars are not a machine, they’re our personality, and they represent us.
