in a word.... FASTING! I've been intermittent & long-term fasting for 40 years, the last 15 very seriously. I'm 67 and people never guess my age. Recently, someone guessed 52! I smiled and said...older. I didn't want to shock him. That said, a diet w/o sugar and processed foods is mandatory! Also, gut healthy foods are needed for healing & repair. And an active lifestyle. Once your body cleans out the years of toxins, a bad diet will actually get you very ill feeling.
Fasting gave me hypoglycaemia and peripheral neuropathy.
Also not everyone tolerates nmn, very little is understood about this
@@Vgallo ..well centuries of Fasting has plenty of very positive results. People just like their food and will fight to the death for it! Literally!
If you have weak or failing kidney's fasting isn't for you, or anyone else with that condition. Nothing else has ever been deemed hazardous to ones health from it. Except of course starving yourself...which ISN'T Fasting! But negativity towards it even in that face of stunning results isn't hard to understand. I've experienced it firsthand for decades. My results is my proof. Amen
Do you have great muscle mass?
Fasting muscle wasting
@@camarosspr . better than most people my age. Fasting won't affect muscle or tissue for several weeks without food. Your body will eat all toxins and fat before. Don't know where everyone gets their info. And think they know more than someone who has done fasting for decades?
@@camarossprfasting increases growth hormone, great for building muscle. Ideally periods of fasting should be cycled with periods of feasting. See books from Dr Jason Fung.
I started when i was 27. Diet change from anything and everything to 80% vegetables, fruits, and legumes manly. Started fasting around the same time. Day fasts, 2,3,4,5 day fasts, just water. Upto 8 day fasts. Drinking upto 1 litre of water a day. This was incorporated over 5 years. Over last 5 years been working into my lifestyle intermittent fasting. First taking out breakfast, which took about 1 or 2 years. Then lunch. Now at the stage of Monday to Friday i eat in 2 hour window in evening. Breaking fast with homemade yogurt, with L.reuteri (see Super Gut book by William Davis). Been taking Ceremonial Grade Matcha for past 1-2 years most days. Cold baths almost every day in the morning. Now, this year (been on the to incorporate list) starting with NMN, resveratrol, quercetin, vitamin k2, d3, C, Omega 3s, B12, and some others. I've never taken any supplements before this year. Always thought I'd do the free stuff first, like fasting, exercise, cold baths, etc, and then add on the other stuff. Im 37 and last month had my age guessed by 3 people of different ages from 23 years old to 45+ and all said they were sure i was in my late 20s and were quite shocked when i told them my age. That was with my beard longish. When i shave it off, i look 5 years younger still. Ive never, ever consulted a doctor regarding what i do. The reason i started it all was because i was diagnosed with IBS and they put me on some powder stuff which didnt work and went back and they wanted to put me on something else and i said "if you think im going to believe you after you said that powder would work and it didnt, im not going to take those now am i". Left and never looked back, took my health into my own hands, read loads, researched and applied it, cured myself in a month or 2. Not easy to change years and years of habits ingrained into each of us, but if you chip away little by little, you will achieve loads in 5-10 years. My advice: dont try and do it all at once. You will not be able to do it. Accept you dont have enough willpower to take it all on at once. Pick a couple of things you want to address/change and focus on that. If you do this, you won't even notice the change, and 10 years goes by, and like i do, i think "my lifestyle is nothing what it was 10 years ago." Replacing habits takes time, dedication, desire and effort. It is now effortless for me to do 48 hours without anything but a few glasses of water. I can work all day in my manual labour job without eating anything to 6pm sometimes no problem. Now if i eat, let's say a bowl of sugar cereal in the morning, I feel utterly terrible. Its important i found to not be 100% strict. I found that letting myself have what i would have had before once of twice a week is really good because you have that contrast and i re-realise why im making effort to change that.Peace to all. Its never too late to change. 😊
Well put my friend.
Nice comment. I also took my health into my own hands. I’m a year into the journey at 55 yrs. I pull together a group of like minded people. If you’re interested in joining message me.
I've only been doing fasting for about a year but I have been skipping breakfast for over 30 years not realizing it was called fasting. I find it interesting that so many people back then would scold me for not eating breakfast. When I go two or 3 days fasting I still get a lot of feedback from people. I think the first thing they ask is "aren't you always hungry". With the concept of fasting be coming more😁😁 accepted, those people who questioned me before now look at me as if I'm a trendsetter. With all the information that's out in the world on the benefits of fasting, I now just smile and let them go on thinking and I'm smarter than the rest of the people or ahead of my time. 😊
I was studying health since the days of Adele Davis and just kept on learning. Bad accident put me on my back. Hispital and rehab kept me from my project found Dr David Sinclair researched NMN and got it; I try not to miss anything he reports or says. What NMN does for one is amazing
Good to see you say that. I'm from the Adele Davis days as well. So you are seeing good results with NMN? The one thing I had is that within a week someone told me that I looked great. It for sure gave my skins/cells some type of outward boost. I have not noticed much else yet, but I am still early.

Dr Sinclair often mentions he has some sleeping problems. Taking NMN I've noticed that his dose was definitely too high for me and I too experienced some sleeping problems, literally it shortened my sleep from 8 to 6 hours. I reduced the dose and my sleep improved right away. So my conclusion is - although studies show that NMN is good for us (or other supplements), we should adjust dosing to our own needs, because after all we are different (body type, body sensitivity, nutrients absorption re stomach acid etc).
Were you taking it in the morning or the evening? I do try to take mine in the morning for that reason. If I take it too late in the day it keeps me amped.
@@Angry.Hippie in the morning. Reading some results of clinical trials for NAD+ precursors it’s quite clear that the dosage triggers different outcomes. I understand that his daily dosage is an optimal dosage, but studies suggest mg/kg.
@@moniq2478 I take a relatively low dose of NMN. A high dose makes me feel strung-out and definitely impacts my sleep.
I take NAD in the evening when I get home from work so I can do a workout. I’m often too tired to workout after work. The NAD is supposed to give you energy. I never really feel a burst of energy but I do notice, but once I do start working out, I can work out longer. And be more focused. And then I have trouble sleeping. I may get a few hours of sleep but it’s not quality.
My sister recommended that I take inositol to help sleep and ashwaganda. I wonder if taking all these supplements have any deleterious effects on the liver or kidneys.
Look up Sinclair's role in the FDA banning NMN from being sold without a prescription.

Dr. David Sinclair is a great speaker but not sincere he does "own" different companies that sell his supplement recommendations. Do your homework in research. I have seen him here for two decades and tried his expensive supplements. Longevity is gained by eating good food and exercising! It has propelled me into my later years watching friends and family go by the wayside. He actually looks a decade or more older he himself is growing old! We all grow old it is a fact of life. Stay healthy!
It's indeed true that as we age, our skin loses its elasticity and may not return to its original form. However, it's essential to note that the aging process encompasses more than just skin appearance. The true indicators of health are metabolic and biological age, which might not always align with our external appearance. It's not just about how we look, but about the overall health and vitality that we maintain internally.
We're all growing older because we haven't figure out how not to. But his 'looks like' age is about 40, and he's 54.
so whats his company's. He always states the basic supplement Ive never heard him say a specific company. Please tell us all the companies.
Agree, if I look at him he still looks minimum 45. Yes he is 54, but you can see he isn't very young. He is healthy yes but it's not like he looks 32 or something, he doesn't! As you say we all get old, he could look much worse I Agree, but overall he doesn't look very young either
older != Religious creed
I'm disappointed with David's company getting nmn banned. This is a direct copy of what he did with the grape skin supplement years ago.
Still I love the guy. Looks like a good bet to crack this ageing problem once and for all. Fingers crossed.
I'm just happy that he's seemingly been thwarted about NMN. Something in the system is working better than I thought it could.
why & how did he get it banned?? or is it now by prescription only?
That and some other things made me question Sinclair's credibility.
Even so much so that if it were to be discovered that he uses Botox and does some snake oil salesmanship, I wouldn't be too surprised.
It's banned in the US but the FDA has not enforced the ban and may decide not to. It is still available in the US through online retailers, and the ban is awaiting review. The arguement is over who registered their interests first, the pharmaceutical or supplements industry. The FDA has admitted not 'connecting all the dots' when they banned it as a supplement.

I hope Dr Sinclair has read the research papers (since the talk with his doctor) that high cholesterol DOES NOT CAUSE HEART DISEASE. Only an oxidative form of LDL can cause heart disease OR very high triglycerides along very high cholesterol and glucose are reasons to take statins.
Dr. Sinclair is a storyteller passing information as scientific facts.
Substitution of plant protein for animal protein decreases the established lipid targets low‐density lipoprotein cholesterol, non-high‐density lipoprotein cholesterol, and apolipoprotein B. Or in even simpler terms less oxidative stress or oxidation.
"A person is considered at high risk for developing heart disease if their total cholesterol level is higher than 240 mg/dL, LDL levels are higher than 160 mg/dL (190 mg/dL is even higher risk), and if the HDL level is below 40 mg/dL"

Some are commenting negatively about his mostly Vegetarian diet. Personally I am NOT a vegetarian, I love my meat, and realize that meat protein and fat are critically important to people like me who follow a low carb/keto diet. But I also pay attention to all blue zoners. The Loma Linda seventh day Adventist are vegetarians and they are blue zoners. They do not eat meat. Thoughts?
A study is just that....an observation of a select group of people!! A study can almost never provide an answer for the whole of the human race!! We fail to see that nature is too complex to be defined by whatever number of studies and therefore too often, contradicting data emerges about the same chemical or molecule!! And...likewise to humanity as a whole, one individual human (body) has too many aspects to it to suit one definition , brougjt up by whatever number of studies!! Yet, we mustn't look away either from consensus data. We are simply not there yet!! Evolution goes on forcing us to look further still to that which heals us and that which harms us
The longest lived Blue Zone population is the Loma Linda Adventists. So they are the best of the best in a sea of unhealthy Americans. As a general matter, high complex carbs with zero to very little meat, and adding fruits and vegetables is the most efficacious path to functional longevity. The Adventists are not hitting the gym but they are hitting an active life. Pretty simple formula for a long and happy life.

So, back to my 14 year old, elderly dog. Id spent thousands of dollars at the vet amd he was not getting any better. I was sure he was going to die so I started him on NMN. He was in really bad shape and it took him 3 months before I saw any improvement. But one day, I notced that he started felling better and as time went on, he got better and better and better. He is so healthy no that he no longer lays in bed all day. Not only that but he plays with toys again. Id not seen him play in years! And even better, he does it every day! 2 years later, he is still alive. Hes a happy little dog now that barks at strangers and walks around the house all day doing dog stuff instead of only sleeping all of the time. After I saw how good he was doing, I thought, " Damn, I want that for me too!"
About myself. Im 44 but suffer from grevious mental illnesses. I was almost alway miserable all most all of the time and contemplating suicide. So after seeing what it did to my dog, I started taking it. It only took me 2 weeks to respond to it but when I did, wow! Oneday, I noticed I was feeling a little better, and the next day I was even better and the next day the same. This went on for a month and by the end of a month, I was on top of the world, I had not felt this good in damn YEARS! My mental health problems are not gone but they are very light now, so far as to say, Im not suffering at all anymore. But it should be noted that after discovering how nmn workd for me, I embarked on a journey to find other suppliments that might help, and I did! Im not even close to the same person anymore. I love life now. Due to my metal illness, my memory was crap and I was constantly forgetting stuff. Well tha5s got now but now its even better. I remember everything! Ive never had a memory this good. My wife is on the stuff also, as well as my 72 year old elderly mother and we are all expirencing similar results bit it definitely helped me the most because I was so bad off.
How much nmn did you give your cat?
What other stuff did you take?
Thanks for sharing your experiences.
I've seen David admit that there's little to no difference in the results of studies between NR and NMN (both NAD precursors).
Hardly surprising as NMN is converted into NR before it can be converted into NAD.
So, you may ask, "Why not just take NR?"
The main benefits of NMN over NR are:
1. NMN is more stable. NR can start to break down into NAM if not stored correctly (cool and dry) and you do not want extra NAM.
2. NMN doesn't have the foul taste of NR.
There's very little difference in cost too so you might as well buy the NMN.
@@Tennyhu 500mg
Look into GlyNAC
The problem with having to go to a doctor is it's 100 times more expensive than over the counter.
Also a 1000 times more stressful. :/
nad plus is fantastic. i feel me vrey young again
What brand do you use?
Little or no mention is made of the use of micronized metformin in transdermal cream, which I myself have used for many years. An important detail: the dose should be 10% of the oral dose.
where do you get it?
How do you get micronized metformin? You working in research, bro? Hook us up!
Been reading those studies on Metformin in topical application and they seem far more interesting than oral intake due to fertility.
How does David get Metformin as it is a prescribed drug?
He said to Joe Rogan that he went to see his doctor, gave him the evidence of its benefits, the doctor agreed and prescribed it for him.
México online drugstores
Don't Requiere medical order.
Cheaper most.
Have you purchased from them, does it take a considerable amount of time is the product good?@@camarosspr
Through prescription
It's easy to get a prescription and Metformin is cheap.
My heart volbe is change and I have a sugar can I use it sir please answer me
Of course maintaining and building muscle mass takes weight lifting. It's hard.
Absolutely required after 50s.
The good proven one is bodybuilding
Anything else is...
Cardio, cycling, running incurs muscle wasting.
Cardio is not effective for weight/fat loss.
Only diet is effective.
Plus the injuries, broken ankle bones.
What about rowing as a form of cardio? It builds lean muscle
I was listening to this video and I kept wondering why didn’t I know Robert Downy Jr have a podcast? Like close your eyes and listen to when the host speaks
This is the highest compliment! And Robert Downy Jr should 100% have a podcast
Can anyone recommend a cheaper supplement that mimicks NMN? Too expensive for a lot of us...thnx.
Interestingly enough, There have been several studies showing that NMN does not have any effect on the body, positive or negative, furthermore, it seems to be absorded and broken down too quickly and has never shown to increase NAD in muscles. I urge people to actually do their own research or listen to opponents of Sinclair to get the full picture. I understand, however, that getting information from videos like this is far easier. Note: there are other anti aging drugs that have shown great promise.
Liposomal delivery^^
Correct, it's a big difference between having NAD in your bloodstream and and your Cells
If you have found evidence of someone achieving that then please share the study. Sinclair appears to be the only one getting these lab results. Great claims require great evidence, no other study can confirm Sinclair's results. One should mention he also is selling NMN and attempting to control the supply by lobbying to the FDA to get other companies to stop selling it as a dietary. There are other more promising anti aging drugs, please do not follow this man blindly.
Niacin is just as good as NMN.
It dramatically spikes your insulin according to one study, which obv isn't good.
If NMN is beneficial in humans, why is David Sinclair spending a fair amount of money paying lawyers to stopping that getting to the general public? This is why I love Bryan Johnson.
his backers, not him
He's a huckster. Oh, and not a great reputation at Harvard either.
That's actually a good thing@@maarten7
NMN does nothing for me. Niacin b3 nicotinic acid on the other hand does way more and 10x cheaper.
@@orion9k NMN did nothing for me too. Tried it for 6 months. I've looked it up and it'll only work on 65 years and up.
Can NAC rand Spemaline help raise NAD Levls like NMN?
Spermadine*
No. Nac turns in glutathione within the body and spermidine induces autophagy
I would like to test the NMN on myself, can anyone tell me which company to buy it from? I'm a little skeptical about it
There are many brands that sell it, it ultimately comes down to where its from and it's quality and concentration. I believe almost all of it comes from China, I've still yet to bite the bullet on it as it's a mission to find out where its from and if its been tested. In addition to this it's expensive and capsule/powder form is a poor delivery method. I've just been taking Niacin
Consider the following before trying NMN: What is your age group, how healthy are you, how good is your diet and do you exercise often? If you're under 40 and in good condition you won't see any benefits from NMN. If you're older, exercise regularly and generally quite fit, you won't notice any immediate results from NMN. If you're above 40, feeling less actice than before or suffer any ailments, you will most likely experience results from NMN within days. Depending on where in the world you are, you should consider buying from donotage or renue by science as they are the cheapest yet high quality. I purchase NMN in powder form and either take it in a little water or under the tongue. It doesn't really matter. 100g powder from donotage lasts me 100 days, so it's not that expensive. Regarding the other comment about capsule/powder form being a poor delivery method, that is not true. It was thought to be true because NMN is too large a molecule to enter the cell walls, but it's been found that gut bacteria act as a transported for NMN. I've been taking it for 4 years now and love it!
How long time it hold in world human body
What does NMN mean ?
Before there was NMN there was NR..
We can always go back to taking NR .
Physicist says that going near black holes slows time. If the astronaut was taking resveratrol it might slow it down even more. I wonder about that.
Isn’t NMN banned in America?
Where can I buy metformin and rest?
Online
The Seventh-day Adventist Church has been recommending this similar advice e.g. fasting (along with prayer), hot & cold therapy, plant based diet, rest, water, rest etc for more than a hundred years. Look up Loma Linda Blue Zone too.
SO is it better NMN or NAD?
NMN is better ❤
NMN is an NAD precursor, the whole point is to increase body NAD levels
How can you get metformin?
Prescription
CDXC is selling NR. Last year Aug analyst's prediction of the stock price was ~USD5 and this month one prediction is the same. Actual is ~1.5. Harvard and other scientists are selling and betting pn this, including Cure's Alzheimer's disease fund.
😮bjrs je veux un supplement pour la memorie et la concentration merci Dr
I feel like Dr. David is already bored talking about NMN...😂😂hearing each time same question: so what is actually mnm? Explain us😂😂😂
Apparently new research is showing NR to be more effective than NMN
I just saw a news article about the FTA banning NMM?
Really, why?
@@robynhope219 I googled it
@@robynhope219 he FDA cited safety concerns as the reason for the ban. The ingredient has been linked to liver toxicity and other adverse events.
@@larrydemonte2218 thnx..can't afford it, anyway..what about NR?
i hope Dr. Sinclair has a change of mind on exercise and veganism.
I experienced do dizziness while taking MNM. Anyone else have this issue?
Don't forget to take TMG (trimethylglycine) with NMN
Q
I take a resveratrol and NMN combination at half the dose Sinclair does. I recently began upping the dose but do a split. 1/2 in the morning 🌄 and 1/2 in the evening. I also take a good quality MULTIVITAMIN along with it and drink lots of water 💧. Extra hydration is neccessary.
It works great for me!
Q ❤
What about NR instead of NMN?
Always try Niacin first. All three precursor have studies backing them, with no comparisons between them. For some people Niacin works better than NMN, see "Conquer Aging Or Die Trying!" video on the topic. Niacin is the cheapest and least faked precursor
Actually, he says in Lifespan that NR is better researched, also cheaper, but not cheap.
How can I get in Nepal bro nmn subliment
What will reverse gray hair?
Yeah, i've red some comments about it
Nothing.
I started fasting, no more breakfast, 16:8 and I sleep way better.

Critical Findings From 12 Key NMN “Anti-Aging” Studies Dr Brad Stanfield
He just looked at 1 metric. Muscle absorption. Far from significant findings by him. He hates Sinclair so he's also biased.
I take 1000mg Metformin because my MD detected a pre-diabetes. Three years later, I am fine, but by now, I notice my muscles are a bit weaker although I take Vits B12, Folic Acid and Thiamine... I don’t think I am not protected…😊
If Theire weaker it's muscle loss.
Either age, no exercise, or muscle wasting caused by fasting.
Do proven bodybuilding.
We can all benefit from weight lifting 🏋🏼♀️
Metformin blunts the heath benefits of exercise. Not that you wont receive any benefits, but the benefits are reduced.
Try Berberine instead of Metmorfin. Less side effects
@@angeliquevandenberg8877
True but berberine also seems less effective.
A better alternative might be to take berberine and half-dose the Metformin.
Metformin is known to reduce the strength gains from exercise and to reduce VO2 max. Berberine does the opposite. A mix of the two may be the ideal.
The best thing for age reversal is element 115.
moscovium..??
I am 65 years of age and I take NR as I can't afford NMN.
I will take mnm
NMN
Oh hes back, Let me guess, hes wrote a new book...
New product OTW 🤣
How much did they pay you to mention metformin,Your kidding,The side effects of that alone makes me believe your being paid for that.A friend started taking metformin and he said he felt sick to his stomach and stopped taking it and then felt better.
True, been taking it for two yrs and have to tolerate side effects. But Met has so many health benefits I don't want to quit. It's is anti aging!
Dr Sinclair did you say you used diet sugar? All alternative sugar are no so good because of their sodium content. I find less real brown sugar may be more safe and I like taking less of what I like.
But if you cook with vegetable oils there will be inflammation and diseases. Ghee or beef tallow Will keep you healthy.❤
