Hello Jared! I'm 63. I have multiple health challenges. I've been taking NMN from DONOTAGE for 9 months... with significant improvements. God bless... & continue to strengthen you!
Thanks Benita. I'm glad to hear you are seeing benefits. Thank you so much for sharing. It helps to validate what I'm experiencing and feel more confident about continuing to take it. I'm sure it will be helpful to others as well. Thanks again.
Wow. Thanks for taking the time to comment and share your experience. I just barely started taking this and your comment helps validate my own experience. And I'm sure it will be helpful to others. Thanks again.
@KetowithJT oh yeah, for sure. My workout buddy is always asking me, "what the hell are you taking". And like you said it's not a speed, heart-pounding, pre-workout supplement type of energy. It's just a smooth endless I'm gonna keep going type of feeling. Mental clarity is another thing that I enjoy while taking NMN.
My mother had EDEMA on her feet from diabetes. After taking NMN for 5-6 weeks it disappeared. No doubt what did it. It was the ONLY thing she changed in her intake. The edema had been around for YEARS and had become chronic.
I took 250mg/day for a year and then 900mg/day for nearly a year. There wasn't a difference I could notice but a month or so ago a study giving NMN to mice of different ages showed there was significant kidney fibrosis occurring in the elderly mice only. I qualify as elderly. So I've stopped for the time being. But looking back at my blood tests, my eGFR numbers (a measure of kidney function) went from 93 to 85 over this same time frame. Higher is better. So if you're elderly, maybe think twice about NMN until more is known about the kidney business.
Can you please provide the link to the research article..I cannot find any research study linking NAD+ oral supplementation with kidney or liver fibrosis.
BIomarker levels are not a thing that this or that makes one go up or down. The values change constantly in a certain range. Your lower marker value was one of those slightly lower data points.
Been taking NMN for over a year now and I know I'm stronger like how I was 10 years ago. I'm 54 years young and I can tell I am stronger because my form exercise is going to the gym to lift weights. I got back my strength of dumbell pressing 80 pounds each for a total of 160 on the bench press. I only got back to the gym less than 6 months ago when the lockdown was lifted in my country. I squat 130 pounds, and deadlift 140. I wouldn't do that pre NMN because I was worried about my joints failing me. I can't say if my grey hair has lessened but one thing for sure is that it stopped my receding hairline and even grew back my hair. Fine lines on my face lessened as well. I can tell that NMN reversed my aging from my looks and my natural strength. I take 1.5 grams of NMN, TMG, and Resveratrol. I added quercetin and CoQ10. I'm also not taking any maintenance meds as compared to folks my age.
You're only in your early fifties and you know people who take maintenance medications? Of your age? Wtf .. unless you're 80 there should any meds. My friends are all 35-55, nobody needs "meds" that I know of.
@@levondarratt787 you Seriously think only people in their 80s, or even 70’s take maintenance meds? 😂😂😂 Are you that naive? Cmon now. You have NO FRIENDS or acquaintances in their 50’s who take a statin, maybe a BP med, or a med for a chronic illness IBS, Crohns, celiac, migraines, PCOS, thyroid meds, I mean I could go on and on. Some of your friends in their 40s 50s are LYING! Guaranteed.
I’m 46. I started taking NMN over 6 months ago. My wrinkles and Melasma (hyper pigmentation) went away. My skin looks incredible. I definitely look younger and I’ve been getting compliments about how I look.
@@kaylaread8048 just to clarify. The wrinkles filled in a lot. Some have gone almost completely. I still have lines where the deep ones where, but there not as pronounced. It’s just not as harsh.
That's awesome Santiago! Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm curious to see what my experience will be several months from now. If it's anything like yours I'll be quite happy. Thanks again for posting. I'm sure others will find your comments helpful.
@@kipuchino 1 gram of NMN mixed in water every morning. 500 mg or .5 grams of TMG (This is to supplement the NMN) after I have breakfast in my stomach. 1 gram of Resveratrol mixed with half a shot glass of olive oil every other day.
I've taken NMN and TMG for about 6 months. Within 3 weeks I had absolute proof it was working. About 5 years ago I got a bad case of psoriasis on my left elbow about the size of a 50 cent piece. Weekly, I would have to take a skin file to it and get rid of the extra dry skin. I'd have a small pile of skin powder to get rid of. Nothing helped it, and I just assumed I'd have it the rest of my life. Three weeks after starting the NMN, I just happened to notice one day the psoriasis was completely gone! For the first time in years, by elbow skin was back to like new! The skin thickness was no longer thick, like scar tissue. My normal thin skin was back, just like my good elbow. Nothing else I did could have healed my elbow. Wonderful! Also fewer joint pains and quicker recovery after golfing. I love it.
I am 81 years old. Started taking NMN with resveratrol a year ago. My energy is amazing. I feel like I’m 40 years old. No one believes my age. People have guessed me at 55. I like Genex 500 brand. Do Not Age did not work for me. I also tried NMN Pro 500. Did not like that as well.
But where's the niacin vs NMN or NR study? Both are (expensive) metabolites of niacin and niacin will increase NAD+ and is dirt cheap. May be (need data!) less efficient than NMN/NR, for increasing tissue levels of NAD+ (also likely age dependent...) but simply taking higher dose of niacin may still do the trick.
WillBrink, thanks for bringing that up. I still have a lot of research to do on this. I had heard great things about NMN so I wanted to try it. I appreciate you sharing some insight on this. I'm trying to learn as much as possible.
I am about 5 weeks in. I started getting regular headaches around week 2.5 so I looked into it and found that adding TMG might help (it did amd luckily its really cheap lol) I finally found i had the energy to work out every day. I have almost never had consistent energy like this. One very notable change has to do with something we all do as adults... rated x... so to abbreviate... a soreness and sensitivity that used to follow after a single round, even as a maturing teen, is completely gone. I am 99% certain this is due to the NMN because it was NOT on my list of things to watch out for but it was notable in the first few days.. Lastly, my vision is more sharp as well. Im trying to get my mother to start taking it because she isn't doing so well and we have a family history of heart issues.
I've been taking NMN for about three months now and have seen numerous changes. I noticed increased energy on day one. I don't have any morning fog or afternoon crashes anymore and I sleep like a rock. I dream more vividly. I noticed early on my endurance increased and I don't really feel nearly as tired after a long day of hiking. I was taking ibuprofen before going out as my hips would kill me if I didn't. That and a lot of other aches and pains have almost vanished. My mood is much more serene. Things that would annoy the crap out of me still might annoy me but the intensity is much lower and is soon gone. Stress levels are the same way. And for those of you concerned about the FDA ban. It's not banned yet and the major companies are still selling it and will fight back. I think this is a long way from over.
Bill, thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience here. It's very helpful. Now that you mention it. Lately I've noticed that I'm a lot less tired at the end of the day. It's even tempting to stay up later and I'm sleeping even better. I also started a consistent meditation program recently and I know that's helped but hearing you say this makes me think the NMN is playing a part as well. Thanks again for sharing.
@@JTJaredTaylor I know what you mean about staying up late. I almost have to make myself go to bed because I just don't feel that tired. However, once I do I'm out like a light.
You're the typical person that fell for it. If you're dreaming vividly you already in trouble. Because you only dream just before you wake up in light sleep. That means you're not getting good rest and have several wake ups at night. That's typical for shallow sleepers. And if you had to crashes or no energy then something else might have been the cause.
@@levondarratt787 I do not wake up at night. Like I said, I sleep like a rock. I find my dreams often get interrupted by waking up in the morning. I sleep much better than I did before starting NMN. I used to wake up in the middle of the night all the time. I would say lack of sleep was the cause of fogginess and energy crashes. If it was "something else" as you claim how do you explain those issues clearing up if it wasn't the NMN? I believe NMN caused my sleep improvement, plus it went beyond that and has given me energy like I haven't seen in years. Would you care to explain my improvement in endurance and the lack of hip, knee and other pains? My eyesight improvement? Why my attitude, motivation and outlook on life have gotten better? I did my due diligence. I haven't fallen for anything. The results are there and they are real. For me and for thousands of others. Go ahead and die from cancer, heart disease or any number of other things while possibly suffering from Alzheimer's as well if you like. Sure, I may too but I may live to be over 100 and stay healthy to boot and NMN combined with a healthy lifestyle will give me a much better chance at doing so. You don't have a clue.
Awesome video and results! I am glad I found your channel, Jared. I have taken a little break from NMN but this inspired me to get back on it now. Also, your video quality is top notch and editing is really great. :)
I've been taking nmn for around 4 months now and fell alot more alert, dontnhave that midday crash, rarely feel tired in the day, certainly feel I have more stamina with sports and I don't know if it's the placebo effect but I think I look younger and even my wife says I look younger
Not sure what everyone is using in terms of a brand, and I thought I share my experiences with NMN supplements. I have been using NMN for about 11 months, I am a 68-year-old male and I have tried over 20 different brands. The only one that seems to work for me personally is Probase Nutrition NMN Powder, simply because they are a well-known California brand, and I had their NMN independently tested for purity and impurities. Theirs came in at 99.89% purity and had zero lead in it. It seems some people on here have used Probase (the brand) NMN as well and they seem to be happy as well. Hope this helps!
i think its important to think about how much time aging takes. siginificant changes in skin, hair etc can take time like 5 years atleast. So we can all assume that if ou take NMN it will also take some years to really see some results of "backwards" aging if it really works if you guys understand what i mean
Hi Kylus, that makes a lot of sense. Thanks for making that point. We all really want a "magic pill" or a button that we can push to give us instant results. I do believe results can happen quickly because your body renews every cell within about 100 days but to your point it takes years to see the gradual effect of aging. I think it's a bit unrealistic to expect dramatic and significant changes overnight. Thanks again for your comment.
A month ago I started NR. I certainly noticed my energy increase; the same as you. I'm now taking NMN , well I've just started : I've noticed my joints are more flexible, less pain .....it's actually quite dramatic ; hopefully it's not placebo. One thing I would say, and it's purely my humble opinion ; I think you have to be participating in a healthy diet and exercise for it ; or any other supplement to truly work
Hi Jeff, thanks for taking the time to comment and share your experience here. I agree with you 100% Healthy diet and exercise should really be the foundation. Thanks again!
My results were similar to yours. Started taking NMN about 4-5 years ago and within 3-4 days was lifting 25% more in the gym. Co-incidence? Worked myself up from zero to deadlifting nearly 400 pounds and doing 8 minute hand stands at 64 yrs old. Had a torn meniscus in my knee from 1986 and after three months on NMN, that pain vanished and never returned. Was bitten by a brown recluse spider and his venom clotted blood in that leg above and below the bite. Blood thinners did nothing for 2 years. Lower leg was still swollen from fluid retention. Two months ago I received a kilo of Resveratrol from my supplier in China and take a couple of grams morning and again at night. All swelling in leg now gone completely, colour has returned to normal. Still waiting to see if other symptoms go away.
Hi Martin, wow that's amazing. Thank you so much for sharing your experience. It really helps to validate my own. I'm sure this will be helpful to others as well. Thanks again!
At 58 with heart disease, angina, suffered a stroke, blocked artery, angina became unstable, looked like death warmed up, walking sluggish, painful, panda eyes, wrinkled and generally closer to death than having any conncection with life, I started NMN. Angina is now stable, no wrinkles, no crows feet, skin as smooth as a baby's bottom, aside from recent problems with leg, walking is now far more energetic, can walk further even with no angina tablets. One thing though...if I stop taking it for a month I decline rapidly..so something is eating up my NAD which I need to address, will start adding Apigenin back to my stack.
check out Dr Ken D Berry MD channel on here, and consider the carnivore way of eating. At 55 it made a huge difference in my life and reversed my diabetes, among other things. Also Dr Anthony Chaffee and Dr Baker, (Shawn?)
Been on it for two years( with all the woo ha about it America). It certainly gives you more energy, my eyesight has certainly improved I see trees in 3d,its like someone has power washed them.
@@JTJaredTaylor no bull here I was diagnosed with two strokes/Tia used to sleep a Lot .couldn't keep warm, right hand and leg was gammy, swallowing and talking was difficult but now just the leg a wee bit gammy. I think the nmn, extra virgin olive oil, vegetables and fruit, apeginin (parsley)every night before sleep. Has definitely helped. I was diagnosed with MRI scan two and a half years ago! Oh aye and metformin! And here in Scotland, I still work six days a week!

Started taking NMN for more than a year, and joined an Ironman 70.3 few months back. I had an almost 30 min improvement vs my time from the last time i did it 10yrs ago (43yrs old vs 32yrs old). I did note i may have trained more but also because the extra energy made me train more.

I have been injecting subcutaneous NAD for 3 months now and I noticed that I have a lot less gray hairs! And just today I saw that a group of white hairs are starting to have pigment again.

I took NMN by Afega and I felt better than I changed for another brand, a Scandinavian one8 Hansen till October but I did not see any improuvement. I think I will try again with Afega.
Hi Jared, I love to hear your story! I'm only 43 and have been taking only 100mg, but I noticed stark effects too. My mind is way sharper - I judge it by the ease at my work of an analyst. I am not weather-sensitive as I ALWAYS was, I don't have diarrhoea I ALWAYS had, I am stronger and more resilient. And I have different dreams than usual. Is it a placebo effect? Not in my case - I bought NMN many years ago, I don't quite remember why. I didn't have any expectations. NMN has an effect but studies show none? Clearly they are designed incorrectly, possibly on purpose. For example, why would anything I experienced have anything to do with "improved" cholesterol? Why then the "studies" focus on cholesterol, that is not impacted by NMN? Wish you all the best!
Thanks for watching. And thank you especially for sharing your own personal experience. Sounds like you've had a very positive experience. AWESOME! Thanks again.
Awesome Stephen! Thanks for sharing. It helps to validate my own experience. I started feeling better late in my runs and wondering is it really the NMN? I found my self thinking that it's hard to imagine it being something else. Thanks again.
Wow, this sounds great and I hope to be able to use this product when I can afford it. I’m glad you got such good results. It is outside of my budget for now. I do enjoy your videos.
Hi Lila, thanks! Thanks for watching my videos and leaving a comment here. I'm glad you enjoy them. Yes, NMN still seems expensive even though prices have come down. There are so many good things out there for improving our health but there is always a cost. That can be frustrating. My problem is there are so many things I'd like to try it's really easy to go way over budget! My best suggestion would be to focus on whole foods first and consider intermittent fasting. Add to that regular exercise and you can make some amazing changes. (if you're not already doing these things that is). Thanks again!
Your spirit is high! As well as all you mentioned. That’s why you seem younger. Same with me. For being 81, I feel so much younger than people my age. And I go for fast walks, which seem amazing for my age. The Bible says, “My age is as nothing to thee!” I love that! Chronological Age is irrelevant!
Thanks Mahria! You sound like a very youthful person! I try to walk on a regular basis too. Usually at least once a day but sometimes more. Thanks again!
Been taking a reputable brand for two months or so. Im not one for the hype. Yet there is a profound change on my energy at the gym. Not the strength training, but cardiovascular. Better than ever, and even after weight training. Its the only variable. In fact my lifestyle and stress levels have been worse. Thats the only but noticeable effect. But powerful
This is so good. Thank you so much for sharing. I love when you say "I'm not one for hype". I tend to get pretty animated about things I'm excited about. I like the way you've described your experience. I'm glad you're seeing positive benefits. Thank you again!
My wife and I started about 1 month ago. Fairly low dosage of 300mg. My wife sweat/oil glands active again. My age-spot on my face are disappearing. Hair is darker now. I'm 67 and love playing tennis. I normally play 2-3hrs of single tennis. I feel stronger. Be back in 2 months. I use to need a lot of probiotics from Kefir. Both our motion is great now and I'm almost off kefir. NMN improve our digestion no end. Poo is light brown now for the both of us.
I noticed the energy boost the very first day. After a week, I notice I'm not crashing after several hours of activity like before. And this with a small dosage. I'm also using Setria Glutathione, and additional Niacinamide, along with a lot of other nutrients. But I can confirm that NMN seemed to have the most dramatic and immediate effect of all the things I'm doing. Now, to add Taurine and Urolithin A.

I have been taking NMN with senolytics for 18 months. Before I started, I had a mild cancer removed from my nose. Unfortunately they missed a small section that began to grow. About six months after starting on NMN, the cancer died and fell off. Coincidence? I have had other experiences similar to you.
I was an athlete in high school and college (track and field and football). I began losing muscle (sarcopenia) at age 76. My muscles are slowly coming back (reverse of sarcopenia?) at age 83. My weight is now 190 pounds (my weight as a junior in high school)-down from a high of 255 pounds in college. Hi Marlene from what I hear that's not uncommon. David Sinclair talks about giving his dad NMN and it took 6 months before he noticed any changes. Some have suggested also taking TMG, (it's a lot more affordable) it's supposed to help your body utilize the NMN better.
@@mrlndbr My understanding is that results are optimized when NMN is taken with TMG and Resveratrol. Have you tried increasing the dose (perhaps up to 750 mg or even 1000mg NMN for a week or so)?
I was so happy and enthusiastic about taking NMN. I started with lowest dose and that was less than or almost 1/8th teaspoon in the morning on an empty stomach. I felt like I had so much energy and worked 10 hrs shift l. I wasn’t tired at all. But I had trouble sleeping. I’m not a good sleeper and on HRT to help with the sleep. I talked to my Dr. and he said take alternate days. And slowly start every day. But because of the sleeping problems, I had to stop taking it. 😞 Did anyone has this kind of issue as mine? Need help or suggestions. Thanks.
Hi Sonal, I'm glad you were seeing results but sorry to hear about the sleeping issues. That must be frustrating. I'm not aware of a solution for you. Hopefully someone else can comment. Thanks.
Magnesium biglycinate is great for sleep and it's been said many people are magnesium deficient. I have not tried NMN yet but do take the magnesium. Hope it helps.
Female over 60, I noticed a huge difference in my energy. My hearing became really sensitive, and so i thought I was losing my hearing, but no, I'm hearing someone really far away and turning music down! It's definitely working.
This kind of stuff really works when you already have optimized everything. If you eat sugar or allergens, or if you don't drink enough water... There are a lot of reasons nmn can't bring more energy. Start to fix what you need to fix first and then go on with supplements like nmn.
Honestly, I find NMN a little too too. I take 125mg a day. Very low dose and I’m so stimulated that it’s uncomfortable. I don’t know. The jury is still out for me.
NMN does significant things for me, to the extent that I feel quite unhappy if I happen to run out, because I know that things will tend downhill. I too have a very clear experience with a possible pre-cancerous, or at least age-related, facial blemish having disappeared after I started NMN (& resveratrol thus far). It had been there a few years, coming and going, typically improving overnight if I slept ok. Probably a tiny mark remains, but basically gone!
@@JTJaredTaylor Another pair of observations... Have increasingly suffered from cramping in the legs, & sometimes feet, just before rising, and also, for the last 2 yrs, from plantar 'fasciitis.' These issues have previously seemed unimproved by diet, vitamins, and supplements, and only marginally improved by good sleep. Since starting NMN & R, BOTH have diminished greatly. One more... At this far-flung stage of life and death, I do a very physical job and, though I won't put too fine a point on it, NMN & R noticeably help my energy level.
Been taking NMN for 5 months now and have more stamina and need less sleep than before. Im 51. I had side effects for a month or so which were - insane appetite, ectopic heart beats (but not scary or painful in any way), and a sensation in my body of blood surging in my periphery - eg hands feeling hotter and a weird but nice flushing feeling (not menopausal by the way). These all went after a month, however I do have a greater appetite at night which I find hard to fight off - end up snacking on things I know I don’t need before I go to bed. However, overall it’s all good - definitely more energy and clearer thinking. Go running most days and can do it without stopping which is something I needed to do before. But - does anyone else notice the appetite thing?
Crazy Red, thanks for sharing. This is awesome to read. I'm glad you're seeing positive benefits. Come to think of it I haven't noticed an appetite increase due to NMN. One thing to consider. If you're being more active that alone can stimulate an increase in appetite.
Hi Yolanda, great questions. It's a molecule that occurs naturally in many of the foods we eat like broccoli, cabbage, cucumber and avocado. Of course a supplement is more concentrated. It certainly isn't a stimulant and it's not considered a "performance" enhancing substance. It increases NAD+ levels in your body. NAD+ (commonly referred to as NAD) is found in every living cell. Without it you would die in a matter of seconds. It's important for many things like repairing DNA and proper mitochondrial function. When you get older NAD levels decline. So it's helpful to increase those levels in the body. When you do, you can experience more energy, strength and endurance as well as other benefits. It's not a given and some people report no improvements but many do. There are a lot of factors that go into that. In my experience it's not addictive in the least and I have found research that NAD therapy has actually been helpful in treating other addictions. I hope that helps.
Do Not Age has pure NMN and is 3rd party tested to validate that. donotage.org/products/pure-nmn-powder/ If you use the coupon code: KETOWITHJT you can save 10%. ProHealth Longevity is also a good choice.

Would you please lettuce snow which brand so we’ll know who to avoid? Thank you and sorry you’re getting receiving your desired outcome. This is great feedback.
I have been taking NMN for a couple of weeks and find all these reports of improvements interesting. I'm not taking it for these effects, I mainly want to try to protect myself from the deseases of old age. However I have had a problem for about 6 years now where my toes feel crinkly, like they are made of cardboard and my big toes hurt. My doctor has found nothing wrong with me and X-rays show minor arthritis. However it of course continued to bother me as it got worse. Online checking of symptoms threw up Dibetes and Gout. But I do not have either I checked my blood sugar for ages and my Dr says he had checked for both. My online investigations lead to someone suggesting I took Vit B1 (Thymine - shortage of this can cause all sorts of problems that I did not have) so I took Vit B complex for several months with perhaps a marginal improvement. However within a week of taking MNM (600mg per day) the problem has completely disappeared.

Nice! Glad NMN has helped. With regard to your question : "Exactly" the same? I don't think so, but once you get there I'm confident you'll be quite happy with how you look and feel.
If NMN gets taken off the shelves by the FDA, just switch to NR (nicotinamide riboside). They do the same thing. My family, friends and I take NR and have great results. You can get to the same place with either.
Add some essential. amino acids and CoQ10 and you'll fly particularly taurine, citrulline, glycine, lysine, carnitine, tyrosine. I whizz round the gym now, use 25% more weight after only 2 days of this and recover quickly. I'm 64 but feel in my 20s.
You could measure your biological age, and metabolic age, before and after NMN I'm pretty sure it will change... Because the exterior skin is already there so will not change a lot, but the cell's biological age and metabolic age change drastically.
Hi Antonio, great suggestion. I did have my bloodwork done specifically to measure my biological age before I started taking NMN. I'm going to check again in a few months. I'm anxious to see if there will be any change. Thanks.
Me too started taking it and yes strangly enough something is different I am involved in calisthenics every other day and work a stressing job and I feel different taking it
Good video, churz. I started taking NMN yesterday and felt good a few hours later. Last night though I couldn't sleep. I hope like you my sleep will return.
It's generally considered safe and side effects are minimal if any at doses between 500mg and 1gram . Some people have reported getting headaches. At very high doses people have reported nausea, stomach discomfort and diarrhea. As for a kidney transplant, my inclination would be that if you don't have other food restrictions it should be fine but please I would really recommend consulting with your doctor.
Now I'm wondering if NMN and electrolytes are somehow tied together. I've been a Martial Artist since the early 80's, I'm now 61 and after a work induced 10 year layoff I'm back in a new dojo. I'm studying a new style as well with a lot of differences than my previous style in which I hold a 3rd Dan ranking. I started about a month ago and I've been on NMN for around 2 months. I've noticed a few things since going on NMN, my desire for coffee has gone way down, and my desire for electrolytes has gone way up. I've also noticed that my energy and endurance in the dojo has improved significantly and not only recovery time but rehab time as well. Early on I made a rookie mistake and pulled my hamstring. About a 5 on the 1-10 scale. I thought I'd be out for a month but I actually recovered to about 90%-95% in 8-10 days and was back to punching and kicking. I still use caution but I'm happy. Back in my 20's I would've been back in 2-3 days at 100% so at 61 I'll 10 days with a smile.
Kirk, thank you so much for sharing. You're obviously a great athlete. I appreciate hearing about your experience as one of the reasons I started taking NMN was in hopes that it would help with strength, endurance and recovery. I've seen that it has. One thing I'll say about electrolytes is that I've been low carb keto and that certainly increases the need for more electrolytes. I just didn't realize that I needed much more than I was getting. Increasing it helped a lot. Oh and healing a pulled hammy that quickly is amazing! Such great feedback. Thanks again for sharing.
Hello my friend! Although I haven’t come across any scientific peer reviewed data in regards to the connection of NMN and electrolytes all I can say is this: “Electrolytes are minerals in your blood and other body fluids that carry an electric charge. They affect how your body functions in many ways, including: The amount of water in your body. The acidity of your blood (pH) Your muscle function. Furthermore, your cells use electrolytes to conduct electrical charges, which is how your muscles contract. Those same electrical charges also help with chemical reactions, especially when it comes to hydration and the balance of fluids inside and outside of cells.” With that said, NMN is a precursor to NAD+, or nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, which means that it becomes NAD+ through chemical transformation. In turn, NAD+ increases glutathione levels in the body via the liver. Glutathione is largely considered to be the most important antioxidant in the human body; it neutralizes free radicals and maintains cellular homeostasis. Reactive oxygen species or oxygen metabolites like superoxide dismutase and hydrogen peroxide, are generated in all cells and can damage lipids, DNA, and proteins. Glutathione is primarily concentrated in the liver and is crucial to the body's detoxification process. Glutathione synthesis occurs within the cells and is made up of the amino acids, glutamine, glycine, and N-Acetyl Cysteine, NAC. Now, the effects of Glutathione are many. Glutathione is essential for the immune system's proper functioning and is vital in building and repairing tissue. It acts as an important antioxidant, which helps protect your body from damage to cells caused by free radicals.

Hmm I did notice some skin improvements.. Maybe a little extra performance for working out. 37. I took some other stuff too and wasn’t sure if it was the collagen or nmn.
Thanks for sharing Richard. Sometimes it's hard to determine what is helping and specifically how it's helping isn't it? Let me know how it goes if you decide to keep taking it. I'd love to hear about your progress.
Started Collagen peptides in November myself, and NMN from DoNotAge a couple of days ago. I’ve had a sore shoulder for quite a while that won’t go away, still got full range of movement but it aches. I’d say it’s ever so slightly better right now, which I think is the collagen. It is my hope that the NMN compliments the collagen I’m taking and reduces the soreness further.
You need rotator cuff SURGERY, followed by STEM cell therapy (about USD 10000). You can swallow all the pills you want but they won't fix your shoulders unless you do the above
@@levondarratt787 i have full range of movement and believe me it's not my rotator cuff. Probably a side effect of the cortisone injection I had years ago for a frozen shoulder and age.

Jared : you left out an Important thing - what is your daily dosage of NMN ? Did you know David Sinclair PhD and Rhonda Patrick PhD in her interview discuss that a typical 160 pound male needs about 1,500mg of NR/NMN to titre to threshold - ‘otherwise the liver’s natural clearing will just sweep lower doses of NMN out of your body ? Dosing level is critical - also you need to do a Horvath methylation clock check to see if your NMN protocol has slowed your aging clock finally ORAL COLLAGEN use has been debunked as useless ineffective and a waste of money - you just inject it and piss it out - topical collagen as well You need to do microneedle with RF radio frequency to create new collagen - use PRP platelet replacement at the end of the procedure , along with SELPHYL , which together create NEW collagen formation in the skins epithelial tissue and form a bridge or lattice upon which the new collagen hangs . Check it out dude . And make sure your daily NMN is about 2 grams BTW Sinclair has petitioned the FDA to categorize NMN as a drug - and that was approved you’re days of over the counter purchases of NMN are over soon
Hi Steve, lot of good stuff here. Thanks for taking the time. I'm 145lbs and taking 1gram per day. I've also been taking 1gram of resveratrol and recently started taking TMG. I've seen way too much anecdotal evidence regarding taking collagen to believe it has no effect. I know it's a topic for debate and there's more to it than just taking a collagen supplement. Some doctors prescribe it and others say it has not effect. Yet I hear examples nearly every day of people who "take it" and see improvements. Myself included. I did do a blood test for measuring biological age before I started taking NMN. I'm going to check again in about 6 months to see if there has been any change. We'll see if the FDA completely halts the sale of NMN. I've seen it before with other supplements in the past go back and forth. It's a good thing there are other things you can do. For now I'm going to keep taking it and maybe buy a little extra to stock up for a while. Thanks again!
@@JTJaredTaylor 👍✅you’re doing all the right things the right way - speemadine is now on Sinclair’s personal menu as it opens another metabolic pathway and fistesin (sic) for cell autophagy . However check out RUclips VIVACE RF micro needle protocol and separately the benefits of PRP+ SELPHYL post procedure . Besides improving skin laxity and photoaging damage the RF actually produces NEW collagen and SELPHYL creates a calcium carbonate lattice for the collagen (which fills in structure from bone loss fat loss muscle loss ) Finally ONESKIN uses Peptide bonding and has lab studies proving new skin STEM CELL formation after 30 days using twice per day - nothing has EVER created NEW young skin via stem cells - which reverses the actual age of the skin all layers
Hi Dakota, I've been taking 1 gram per day in the morning. I've also been taking 1 gram of resveratrol in the morning which I don't think I mentioned in this video. Hope that helps.
Good question. My understanding is that NAD+ molecules are too large for your body to actually absorb them through the blood stream. For that reason, some people have opted to get injections which works but you have to find someone who will do it and it's expensive. The other option is liposomal NAD+ though I'm not sure of its effectiveness. My friend takes it and really believes it's helpful. I know that's not a definitive answer but I hope that helps.
Hi Vee, I've been talking to a friend of mine Marcel James his channel is called "The Pulse" he knows a lot more about this topic than I do. He has been doing some research and has found that it seems about 80% of people see noticeable results and 20% report no benefit. My thoughts are that results take time to measure. There are other factors as well. He also reported that people are are active seem to notice the benefits more. If you're interested in learning more about NMN I would highly recommend his channel.
It could be because you’re still young so your body is producing enough NAD+ on its own. I felt nothing when first took it a few years ago but now I can feel the energy boost. I cook all day in a Chinese restaurant and NMN has help me get through the day without getting extremely tired. I still drink a energy drink at midday but before I would drink 3 a day. 😅
@@JTJaredTaylor I have already had this conversation with Marcel a couple times via comments and replies. He is very nice to respond and I have watched his videos regarding the 20%. Why is it that the 80% seem to feel it right away if it takes time? 7 months is good amount of time I would think and hundreds of dollars later. I'm considering trying NR instead. I'm pretty active and I religiously take Pilates reformer classes and I hike and I am 60.
Hi Vee, yes Marcel is a good guy. I'm not sure why one person feels a difference while others don't. We all respond to things in different ways. Some people can eat lots of carbs and not gain weight while others feel like if they just look at carbs they gain weight. Some people have an allergy to a specific food like shellfish and others can eat it every day. Some people are good a Pilates and others aren't' (like me 😄) NR may be a good option. Some say it works better than NMN and others say NMN works better. Maybe it just depends on the individual. Sorry I can't give you a better more scientific answer. I hope you are able to find what works for you.
I wonder if the energy increase that many people have reported is a placebo effect of NMN. We need more objective studies on this, especially who would benefit most from this effect.
You're absolutely right. We do need more studies. I'm looking forward to hearing about the results from studies that are currently ongoing. As for placebo. I've tried a lot of different supplements in my life time and I certainly can't say I'm not prone to placebo but I also have a hard time explaining the results that I've seen when I first started taking it and continue to see now. If it's placebo, I'll take it. I've been quite happy so far.
@@JTJaredTaylor The placebo effect may be more beneficial than NMN's pharmacological effects themselves. Just imagine, a totally biologically inert substance has the ability to improve all sorts of medical conditions in ways that science cannot yet explain. As for how boosting NAD levels translates into longer lifespans, the science remains a bit murky. Anyway, I'm encouraged to hear the positive results you're getting and can't wait to see more.
@@nia.michaels That would be awesome. I wish I knew how to harness the placebo effect. That would be like a super power. My friend told me about a book called, "You Are the Placebo" I've been meaning to read it. I'll likely add that to my library in audible. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I appreciate it.
Great video as always and glad it’s working so well for you. Quick question for you if that’s ok, I found a very low bread which as 0.3g of carbs per slice which seems amazing but the ingredients include wheat protein, Wheat wholemeal flour, barley malt and oat fibre. Are these ok? Strange as the carbs are so low at 0.3g net per slice but these ingredients seem non-keto. Most other keto breads are around 3-4g per bagel for example but all ingredients are keto friendly as almond, coconut based. Just strange that the one above is one tenth the carb amount but seems to have non keto ingredients in it, but probably low amounts
@@HH-hb9uy - cheers, do you think best to leave keto breads out too I.E. those made from Almond (nuts), Coconut Flour*, Golden Flax Seed, Psyllium Husk*, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Sesame Seeds Gluten-free Bi-carbonate of Soda, Sea Salt, Apple Cider Vinegar. ?
@@HH-hb9uy - also I’m trying to cut out keto treats with sweeteners like erythritol, stevia, xylitol etc and just have sweetener free products made from inulin/chicory root fibre. Have you also cut out all sweeteners in order to eat clean keto?
None of those are good. All of them have lectins. The worst lectin is WGA, which comes from wheat bran. The outer coating of a grain is very high in lectins. You are better off eating white wheat bread....any grain as long as it has the outer coating removed. Whole grains are WORSE for you than white grain breads. You can get your fibre somewhere else....psyllium fibre is great. There are lots of soluble fibres that are great too (Inulin but it might make you gassy, and guar fibre is awesome, there are many others that don't have lectins). Sourdough bread is the best alternative to all of these grain breads because the fermentation process breaks down the gluten, which is also a lectin. Treat carbs as a treat, and pick the healthiest carbs of the ones available. Just be low-carb in general. One of the worst things I was eating that caused my Triglycerides and LDL cholesterol to spike high was when I was eating LOTS of those stupid "Bran Buds" cereal. Yes, high fibre, but super high lectins too.
Hey Reza! Thanks! With regard to your question. I usually avoid bread all together. Even though the carbs are low in the bread you mentioned I personally wouldn't consider it a good option. For the same reasons you mentioned. Hope that helps.

One issue here is that you are taking a cocktail of things at the same time so its difficult to deduce which is actually giving you the benefit. However judging by some of the responses below the NMN alone is probably a significant chunk of the benefits. Suggest you drop everything else for a bit and see if the wrinkles return! :o) [FYI: I'm trying Liposomal NAD+]
Hi, I have just started the liposomal NAD+ too. Are you noticing a benefit? I am 63yr old and know that dose is important and relevant to age. Too small a dose can be quite bad - as I understand it.
That encouraging to hear. I think to it’s the combination of collagen and nmn. Just having collagen in your system without a way to efficiently use it untill the nmn
Sorry if I say that Jared, you look much more older than your age (51/52). I you go to East Asia, people in 70 look similar like you. This is what I want to tell you. Maybe you can do research why is it so....Diet, Lifestyle, sleep pattern, exersices etc.
Hi Lemy, thank you for your concern. My understanding is that aging is different for everyone. Genetics certainly play a role. I think my issue has some to do with genetics and more to do with spending so much time out doors for the last 30 years and not using sunscreen. Big mistake on my part. I realize that taking supplements NMN, collagen or something else isn't going to change the damage that 1,000's of sunburns have caused in a short period of time. I just gotta do the best I can with what I have to work with. I actually do pay very close attention to diet, lifestyle, sleep and etc. Thank you very much for your well intended suggestion. Hi Amanda, I take NMN from DoNotAge. I like it because it's more affordable than the other leading brands and 3rd party test results show a higher purity. That means it's tested by a lab that is not affiliated with the company to see if the product really contains what they say it contains. In this case NMN. Theirs has tested at the highest level of purity compared to others I've seen. I haven't taken a close look at the NOW brad NMN but that's one thing you want to look for. Is it 3rd party tested? If so, is it testing in the high 90th percentile? Meaning that it's at least 98% purity or better. If it is then it's a good option. I hope that helps.

I took 250mg/day for a year and then 900mg/day for nearly a year. I qualify as elderly. So I've stopped for the time being. But looking back at my blood tests, my eGFR numbers (a measure of kidney function) went from 93 to 85 over this same time frame.

@@1WillyK that about sums it up. Thanks again Bill. That helps me to validate my own experience.
Thanks Life & DIY! I really appreciate it! What was your experience with NMN previously?
Why did you take a break from NMN?
I've been taking nmn for around 4 months now and fell alot more alert, dontnhave that midday crash, rarely feel tired in the day, certainly feel I have more stamina with sports and I don't know if it's the placebo effect but I think I look younger and even my wife says I look younger
Awesome! Thanks for sharing Chris.
You look young yes
Not sure what everyone is using in terms of a brand, and I thought I share my experiences with NMN supplements. I have been using NMN for about 11 months, I am a 68-year-old male and I have tried over 20 different brands. The only one that seems to work for me personally is Probase Nutrition NMN Powder, simply because they are a well-known California brand, and I had their NMN independently tested for purity and impurities. Theirs came in at 99.89% purity and had zero lead in it. It seems some people on here have used Probase (the brand) NMN as well and they seem to be happy as well. Hope this helps!
Thanks Robert! I appreciate you sharing this.
Hey Robert... I just purchased NMM from Probase this week. Thanks for the heads up on purity. Where did u send the sample for purity test? Curios!
i think its important to think about how much time aging takes. siginificant changes in skin, hair etc can take time like 5 years atleast.

This kind of stuff really works when you already have optimized everything. If you eat sugar or allergens, or if you don't drink enough water... There are a lot of reasons nmn can't bring more energy. Start to fix what you need to fix first and then go on with supplements like nmn.
Sound advice for sure. Thank you.

Hi Martin, I had been thinking about it for several months and finally decided to try it. Now I've decided to stick with it. We'll see how it goes.

Is this like a performance substance or a stimulant?
The extra energy, and in erase of except use ability suggests this.
Is it addictive?
As you age your DNS gets fragmented / damage. NMN is suppose to help return the DNA to a healthy condition

Don't take after 9am
I am having a same issue with sleeping. Finally I had to discontinue 😔
@Sonal Patel my sleep came right after about 5weeks.
I never noticed a change when I was taking NMN. What dosage were you taking?
I'm taking 1gram per day in the morning. I'm also taking 1gram of resveratrol per day which I don't think I mentioned in this video.
You take and TMG. Nmn resveratrol tmg .
@@ginadani9688 Yes, I just started taking TMG recently but not before this video. Now I'm taking resveratrol, NMN, and TMG. Thanks.
What are side effects ? And it is safe for kidney transplant?

So glad I saw this video. I just started taking NMN about a week ago and I noticed a huge surge in energy.. I thought maybe it was because I resumed the WHM breathing with the cold showers! Who knows? Maybe it was both.
Thanks Mark! Glad you like the video. I've been doing cold showers and now that you mention it need to get back to the breathing too. If you are able to determine that it's making a difference let me know. I'm still taking it and I'm more and more convinced that it's helping. Thanks again.

Yes. You should be fine with either one. Both are high quality.
I've been doing intermittent fasting and had 4 skin issues like you have that won't go away. With the intermittent fasting they finally went awa after just 3 weeks.
Awesome!
What kind of skin issues fixed ? I am doing fasting also 😊
@@janebond3263 They were remains of pimples that scabbed over and just wouldn't completely go away. Something else you should be doing with tons of Peer Review science behind it is Collegen Peptides. They can help heal old wounds but also get rid of wrinkels and fill in the face. Noticable in about 2 months. Watch Dr. Stanfield's videos on them. He also recommends a good brand.
Hi Somnambulist, thanks for taking the time to share your experience. I hope you continue to see improvements. Please keep me updated. Thanks again.
Anymore improvement?
You need rotator cuff SURGERY, followed by STEM cell therapy (about USD 10000). You can swallow all the pills you want but they won't fix your shoulders unless you do the above
@@levondarratt787 i have full range of movement and believe me it's not my rotator cuff. Probably a side effect of the cortisone injection I had years ago for a frozen shoulder and age.

Jared : you left out an Important thing - what is your daily dosage of NMN ?
Did you know David Sinclair PhD and Rhonda Patrick PhD
in her interview
discuss that a typical 160 pound male needs about 1,500mg of NR/NMN to titre to threshold - ‘otherwise the liver’s natural clearing will just
sweep lower doses of NMN out of your body ?
Dosing level is critical - also you need to do a Horvath methylation clock check to see if your NMN protocol has slowed your aging clock
finally ORAL COLLAGEN use has been debunked as useless
ineffective and a waste of money - you just inject it and piss it out - topical collagen
as well
You need to do microneedle with RF radio frequency to
create new collagen - use PRP
platelet replacement at the end of the procedure , along with SELPHYL , which together create NEW collagen formation in the skins epithelial tissue and form a bridge or lattice upon which the new collagen hangs . Check it out dude .
And make sure your daily NMN
is about 2 grams
BTW Sinclair has petitioned the
FDA to categorize NMN as a drug - and that was approved
you’re days of over the counter purchases of NMN are over soon
@@JTJaredTaylor 👍✅you’re doing all the right things the right way - speemadine is now on Sinclair’s personal menu as it opens another
metabolic pathway and fistesin (sic) for cell autophagy . However
check out RUclips VIVACE RF micro needle protocol and separately the benefits of PRP+
SELPHYL post procedure . Besides improving skin laxity and photoaging damage the RF actually
produces NEW collagen and SELPHYL creates a calcium carbonate lattice for the collagen
(which fills in structure from bone loss fat loss muscle loss )
Finally ONESKIN uses Peptide bonding and has lab studies proving new skin STEM CELL formation after 30 days using
twice per day - nothing has EVER
created NEW young skin via stem cells - which reverses the actual
age of the skin all layers
The collagen is good for bruising from crepe skin.
Interesting. Please share the dosage of NMN you were taking.
Hi Dakota, I've been taking 1 gram per day in the morning. I've also been taking 1 gram of resveratrol in the morning which I don't think I mentioned in this video. Hope that helps.
Is taking nad+ just as good?
Good question. My understanding is that NAD+ molecules are too large for your body to actually absorb them through the blood stream. For that reason, some people have opted to get injections which works but you have to find someone who will do it and it's expensive. The other option is liposomal NAD+ though I'm not sure of its effectiveness. My friend takes it and really believes it's helpful. I know that's not a definitive answer but I hope that helps.
Been taking it since April..increasing dosages No energy, no benefits
Some people are good a Pilates and others aren't' (like me 😄)
NR may be a good option. Some say it works better than NMN and others say NMN works better. Maybe it just depends on the individual. Sorry I can't give you a better more scientific answer. I hope you are able to find what works for you.
You could try another brand. I’ve tried 3 brands and found that Genex works best for me. “Do No Age” did not work for me.
Eat clean foods and leave breads alone 😁 if you absolutely need bread, go for high fiber breads such as organic whole grain rye bread 🏴☠️yarr
What you're describing is what I'm experiencing with DHEA only the increased energy means when it's time for bed I fall asleep quickly and sleep deeply.

One issue here is that you are taking a cocktail of things at the same time so its difficult to deduce which is actually giving you the benefit. Hi, I have just started the liposomal NAD+ too. Are you noticing a benefit? I am 63yr old and know that dose is important and relevant to age. Too small a dose can be quite bad - as I understand it.

Is the NOW Niacinamide 500mg the same NMN you are talking about?
