Dhritiman Mukherjee’s work has been seminal for wildlife and nature photography in India. In addition to capturing abundance of beauty, his work furthers the causes of conservation and discovery the unknowns of the Nature. His practice, primarily for research and documentation, has taken him to extremes of terrains and ecosystems, from high Himalayas to depth of frozen oceans. His journalistic approach towards wildlife photography has helped create an invaluable archive for researchers and scientific studies. Mukherjee’s work advocates for the preservation of elements of Mother Nature, for posterity.
