I love that they've followed the Alex Horne model of subtle obviousness. Rather than arranging the carrots randomly, they've just gone smallest to largest.
Martin is much more charming though! And he's pretty useless at the other tasks too and doesn't take himself too seriously. Not that I don't like Jon Richardson, he's just a bit annoyingly smarty-pantsy.
Martin absolutely crushed it. He correctly determined who to swap with. Unfortunately for him the hosts then changed the rules, which seems pretty harsh if you ask me
PLEASE tell me the biggest one was _actually_ a sweet potato and that she got no points at all! Would be exactly the kind of psychological sleight of hand that TM would pull, like the "get the bag of salt to the table" task in season 11
The NZ and Norway versions of TM are great! I would love to see this task without the window as I think the audience reactions gave too much away and didn’t allow for the bluffing that could have been possible. But so happy they took this and ran with it. I wonder if the UK version would get in trouble with Cats if they tried to do it on Channel4 🤣
I like the way you just called it Cats, which makes it sound like actual cats are playing Carrot in a Box (and get upset when others play it without them). 😆
@@Spretzjnjikhow Nepe is turnip, a swede is a kålrot/kålrabi. Sorry for correcting you two years later, I dread all the times you've been calling swedes for turnips this time, wish I could have helped you out sooner brother.
Having seen 'Carrot in a Box' on 8 Out of 10 Cats (bloody hilarious!) this was a different typical 'Taskmaster' task, that I also have watched most series of. This was really funny and thoroughly enjoyed. Aussie fan! 😂👍
@@deanderthal I’m one of them. They messed up the US version so badly and I’m sad they probably won’t ever try again (meaning we will miss out on so many good comedians who would have rocked a good version of it).
As Lord Greg Davies might have said, It is often the way in TaskMaster, the game's not finished until you've opened the box. Hope Martin comes out on top somewhere.
That was very funny. 😂 An inspired adaptation of EOOTC's and EOOTCDC's _"Carrot in a Box"_ 👍👍 That adaptation, like the original _"Carrot in a Box"_ can be played again and again. Brilliant! 🔆🔆
I speak not a word of Swedish, but everything translates perfectly with just a little help from subtitles. The comedians really come across as individuals, just as they do in the UK. I am not surprised that Taskmaster has universal appeal. Alex Horne is brilliant !
Gillar både den Svenska, och Brittiska versionen, RUclips bestämde sig för att rekommendera detta, och jag tänkte gulerötter i låda, hur kul kan det vara? Riktigt kul visade det sig! :D
have you ever compared one items size with another different items size before? because that's what they did, they compared that carrots size with a sweet potato...
Not really like it, apart from the exchange of carrots in boxes? Yes, similar to that NZ task, but the Norwegian one came first. Interestingly, the NZ task writers claim not to have been aware of the Norwegian task when they came up with their own version of it. The Swedish and Danish versions of Taskmaster have also done variations on the task. taskmaster.info/mastertask.php?id=401
There's a channel here called Neil Talks.. He has reacted to the whole of season 1 which has a great casting including a few of the men from Ylvis.. Most people know Ylvis for their song 'what does the fox say' He reacts to the full episodes and doesn't always stop and start so there's a nice flow to it.. You won't regret it.. The shows as good as the original UK version in my eyes
In pretty much all rankings, norwegian is consistently ranked among the top ten easiest languages to learn, coming from english. Just do a youtube search of "easiest languages to learn" and see for yourself. EDIT: The reason why i did not provide a link, is because otherwise it might look like i'm cherrypicking by finding that one list norwegian is on. But no, it's on the vast majority of them.
Sean Lock would have crushed this task
Don’t be ridiculous, he wouldn’t have understood anything anyone was saying 😂
@@TheBloodsuger150 I love both of these comments
Sadly he is the one in the box now.
@@TheBloodsuger150 And yet he would use that to his advantage

Just enough rope for the overthinkers to hang themselves
I did not notice until you mentioned it! Fantastic job Norway Alex.
Could still be random though ;-) But not very likely...
@@pbrynild One chance in 120 of this arrangement… not the least likely thing, but certainly not common
@@oldvlognewtricks Technically 2 in 120, since largest to smallest would've been essentially the same.
So Martin is Norway’s answer to Jon Richardson when it comes to carrots in boxes.
At least Martin had a carrot in his box!

I cant believe carrot in the box is becoming a whole thing.

Comedy so funny that it transcends language barriers. I love it.

I don't think it gave anything away, really. The audience laughed at all of the contestants. Fabulous task.
just replace the carrots with a potato or something
I was surprised how much I enjoyed this version of TM. Feels a good fit.
Poor Martin was short changed.
Well I'm learning Norwegian and (UK) Taskmaster is one of my favourite programmes, so this is a match made in heaven!
As a Nordic country, I'm surprised they didn't opt for Swede in a box.
Before remembering Swedes are vegetables, I thought you meant squeezing different sized people in boxes
@@youngwang97 Now, that 'would' be a task.
The humor of it would no work in any nordic language though, swede (nepe) and Swede (svenske) are not very similar in Norwegian for instance

the norwegians, unlike the americans, get this show.
The norwegians also seem to have excellent equivalents for Greg and Alex. Oli is more of the relaxed guy but it fits their dynamic very, very well.

Norwegian Greg Davies is frighteningly similar to British Greg Davies 😂

At first I was outraged that CIAB was continued after Sean's death but now I realise it's a fantastic tribute to him and it's going global.❤
