Sigma and Ultron came out great. But everything else just feels so watered down...like they kept some of the level 3s, but then they changed Hawkeye to not include Antman. Why?!? He's not even an x-men!
I still remember the Functions versus Functions Infinite meme when they tried explaining why they removed some fan favorites and that is exactly why lmao. Huge mistake on their part, goddammit Marvel
Despite literally being ripped from the previous game, many of these supers look and feel underwhelming. You can see every bad decision and tied hands that made this game a reality though these.
They Replaced art Style with a "Realistic." Look for the characters (They Changed from Comic Book Style to This), and they Changed the overall look of every visual effects including Special attacks, and without considering less Screen shake and the hitstop from attacks that Made them feel "Weak."
One of the best comments I've seen regarding this game is something along the lines of, "If only they gave the game as much love as they gave Ryu's Lvl 3 Super."
I like how all of these supers are cinematic and then you have Zero, Hulk, Chris and Arthur who are just like "Ah forget it, just give me one damn attack and i'm done"
I still not understand how a piece of scrap (Ultron) can defeat characters like DMC3 Dante, Thanos, his own creator (Iron man), Megaman and thx god there is no Vergil there. Even in comics he is abble to do that (defeating characters like Thor and Hulk with ease)

I dont know if it's just me but i think a lot of characters talk TOO MUCH while performing their supers, it gets kinda annoying compared with other games in the series 🤔
Absolutely, especially the Marvel characters seem to need to express their entire personality in long winded too flashy moves, reminds me of KOF's excessively long dialogue and the reason I never played those games, like when a character loses and goes "IONLYWANTEDTORULETHEWOOOOOOOORLD!" I am like "Shut up dude"

even though Capcom at that time had a RE engine, maybe I think that during development of the game, RE engine was not yet ready to be used, so they were forced to use the Unreal engine. and some characters use the "MT Framework" 3D rendering in this game due to deadline pressure from Disney?

And capcom fighting game division was in bad state before (playstation founded a lot of sfv, that's why it was only on ps4 and pc ) and with the rough launch of SF V so they didn't have a big budget and Disney didn't give a lot of money and was a shitty collaborator (tight deadlines , no xmen characters, etc...). Disney saw this franchise for only marketing purposes. Capcom even had to take the heat because of no xmen characters even it was Disney who didn't want any mutant because of fox. That's the only game that Disney worked with capcom too.
I would have loved to see a 3D version of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 with all the whole 56 characters roster 😁
