Your channel was recommended to me this week and now I have watched so many of your videos the past two days! Life here in Finland is very similar in my 30s, very relatable content :)
Thank you for mentioning a Norwegian author - I will check them out. Sending hugs from the uk as I am sorry to hear about your break in. However, at least nothing valuable was stolen & nobody got hurt. Now you can plan some extra security to keep you safe. I would highly recommend a video security camera (indoor & outdoor?). Take care. Xx❤
I stumbled on your channel and I love seeing more about life in Norway. I love Jo Nesbo and I've read a lot of his books. I love the Harry Hole series. I even went to a book signing of his in Arizona.
Hi Victoria so sorry to hear of your unsettling incident and hope you're ok.Unfortunately there are many horrible people in this world but lovely vlog and stay safe. 😘
I was able to work from home more in my previous job, and I really loved it. I don't work from home in my current job, but I can walk back and forth, which feels like a priviledge. Admittingly, not as fun when the rain is poring down or there's a heavy snowfall, but still worth it. I'm the opsite of you when it comes to you, if I eat the same more than three days in a row, I feel slightly sick eating it again, and can't eat it for years. I read Jo Nesbø up to Panserhjerte, but I didn't even finish Panserhjerte. 🤣 I grew tired of the books as well. I don't read much crime fiction, but I want the third book in the series by Ragnar Jónasson. Really enjoyed that author. The criminals who break in the storage rooms in Oslo can be pretty sneaky. We had that happening a lot in Grünerløkka, but also had footage of the thives... Yeah. No fun. I wonder how the person's face looked like when they opened the briefcase! I don't understand how anyone would store their bunad in a basement storage! Poor bunad!
I’m very interested in new tech, and especially cameras, so I follow a lot of RUclipsrs who influence me into buying new things when they are released 😂 But my main camera now is the DJI Pocket 3 with a mic, which works for most situations (or, for my needs). I also love small cameras like Insta360 Go 2, which makes it easy to film on the go in a not-so-obvious way. My GoPro Hero10 is also very useful for many of the same situations - it’s easy to place down in a store, for example, to get some quick shots of me without everyone noticing. And of course, for «action» activities and on vacation, for underwater shots etc. Feel free to ask any questions if you have more 😊
@@VictoriaSagelyAwwww, Thank you so much for the detailed info. DJI Pocket3 mic: Is it compatible with other brand cameras? I have a Canon power shot v10, but it always has a white noise. Anyway, Thank you so much again! ❤
I was terrified of Gremlins as a child, my brothers used to watch it and even thinking of the music scares me a bit as an adult aged 36 lol but at least it's only Gizmo on your T-shirt XD
Haha! Yes, Gizmo is the cute one. I did find the movie a bit scarier as a child, but it's always been a Christmas tradition for my family to watch it - at least for the last 15 years! ❤
Once we had a break-in also in Oslo(Ensjo) and the only thing that was stolen was my husband’s huge, old and stinky hockey bag 🤣 they took out all the stuff from the bag and left it (and there was some expensive things like hockey equipment etc). So it was creepy but funny , I guess they only needed some huge bag 😁
Utrolig kult å se en norsk lifestyle vlog / day of gå så bra.
Great description of when you're not really in the mood to read😅😅I am not a big reader so when i do find a book that i love...i turn into a book 🐛!😅😅So sorry about the break in...it is disturbing and uncomfortable...glad that nothing was stolen and that no one got hurt!
Yes, they are also good! I read all the Kurt Wallander books years ago. Think maybe 15 years ago, so I don’t remember much about them other than that they were really good, haha 😊
I also keep getting into reading slumps lately. But time to time, I find these gems of books, and I just inhale them 😅 the most recent one to get me out of a slump is ‘a good girl’s guide to murder’-and I started it because I saw the trailer for the tv show. So obviously, I have to read all the books in the series first. I’m gonna buy a Jo Nesbø next, now that you mention it I wanna read it 🤗
That book has been on my TBR list forever! Maybe I should finally read it, I need to find something good now to get into reading again. Thanks for the tip! Haha, yes, read it! If you want to commit to the whole series, you could start with the first one, but many people find the first two books a bit boring. So number 3 or 4 is probably best to get into it, that’s when the series starts to get really good. Each book has a new plot, but they all center around Harry Hole, so I can also recommend reading from the beginning to really get to know him. But if the first book doesn’t hook you, it’s sad if you quit because of that. They only get better and better, even number 13!! ❤️ The Snowman is a popular one, that’s really good!! 😊
Thank you for the Jo Nesbo recommendation. It sounds like something I would enjoy reading. The Icelandic author Ragnar Jonasson is one of my favorites you may enjoy. I have read everything he has written, and just finished his latest book Reykjavik which he co-wrote with Katrin Jacobsdottir, the Prime Minister of Iceland. Anyway, always enjoy your vlogs, and glad nothing was stolen.
I'm so sorry to hear about the break-in to your basement storage. It is unnerving to think they had a key. A similar situation happened to a friend and the police thought it might even be a worker at their building since some of the workers had access to certain keys and areas of the building. Thanks for the book recommendation. Do you think you can make your text captions in a bigger font? They come across really small on my screen.
Thank you. That is possible! We had a big renovation in the building two years ago, where all the workers got keys. Yes, I will make the text bigger in future videos ❤️ I have already edited and finished the next two videos, though, as I’m on vacation now. But will do it for new videos 😊
@@VictoriaSagely Thanks for making the captions bigger! I love learning about your life in Oslo. I'm in America (Nashville). Oslo looks like such an incredible place to live. Have a wonderful vacation!
I love Jo Nesbo! I think I’ve read 5 or 6 his books! I’ve read the kingdom - I think it was released a couple of years ago :) and the knife - it was so scary!! 😨 do you read other detective books? Like Tana French or Robert Gelbraith? It’s also very good 🌞I feel so sorry for the break in, it’s so unpleasant!
Wow, that’s good! I haven’t read the Kingdom myself yet, but it’s on the list. Book number two was published just a month ago or something 😁 Yes, from time to time. When I was a teenager, crime and detective books were all I read. Mostly Scandinavian, though. Now, I really like Poirot, but there are so many I haven’t read yet 😁 I have not read those, no, but maybe I should. Thanks for the tip!
Robert Gelbraith is Joan’s Rowling pseudonym, I hope you would love it☺️she has released 7 book and it’s soooo interesting! And I should definitely read new Jo Nesbos book!🤩
Thanks! It’s BaByliss Air Style 1000. Yes, I really like it and can recommend it. Only thing is, it’s quite big so it isn’t ideal if you are travelling and want to bring it, but that’s not really an issue for me 😊
@@VictoriaSagely Thank you so much! I think it's perfect for my hair. I'm a Matcha Latte addict too by the way! I live in Vienna and came across a little Japanese tea shop in my neighbourhood a few years ago. That was the beginning of my addiction. I can't live without my Matcha in the morning. 😊
Matcha latte is the best! Cool that you live in Vienna, it looks like a really nice city! I’m actually very close to the border of Austria right now, haha. I’m in North Italy, and planning to drive through Austria in a couple of days. Will probably not drive as far as Vienna, though 🌸 Maybe some day!
I have read some of them, maybe 12 years ago, haha. Don’t remember them that well now so maybe I should read them again, or maybe the new ones 😁 They were very good!
