That should be a given. Most people that buy these are no where near professional level of driving. Have you seen the guy that took the hellcat ring for a lap? He drove the shit out of that car.
The sideways traction of tires really is a thing. I have had tires that felt great standing on the thottle from of stop, but become completely useless as soon as you get slightly sideways. It isn't something that really gets picked up in most testing.
idk if im correct on this but ive seen rally tires and i think i heard somewhere that that may be what the outer tread is for. From the inner to outer part the pattern changes
Dont fall for it lol. In 2021 they said that it would be the only year. Then in 2023 they made another 2500 of them and said it would be the last year. So I traded in the 2021 hellcat for the 23 hellcat durango. now they are saying they will make more in 2024 smh haha.
Strangely, I've had the opposite experience with Blizzaks and Nokians. Both the Blizzak WS60 and WS90 I've run had a tendency towards understeer when you would overstep traction. Whereas both the Nokian Nordman 7 and Hakkapeliitta 10 had, at minimum, the same (if not better) accelerating, stopping, and lateral grip, but a tendency towards oversteer when overstepping traction. Both for ice racing and normal street use. Which is far more useful and controllable. Long term, the traction of Blizzaks also seemed to drop off much sooner than my Nokians. Not to discredit Wyatt's comment at all, he's a far better driver than I'll ever be with massively more time behind the wheel. I just found it very interesting that he's had the completely opposite experience from me with the same tires. Would love to see a winter tire showdown on the same vehicle. I know Tyre Reviews exists on RUclips, but Wyatt's professional driving and different way of explaining the feel of traction would be great. Keep up the awesome videos! Glad to have Wyatt back!
I e never done anything like that with the wifes durango, even tho i have sent requests up the chain of command just to be shut down. Ive never had the privilege of trying out the srt one. But i can say the little bit i have gotten to play with our limited with the basic v6 tied to the 8 speed. I have been impressed with it in every aspect, the steering and suspension carry it really well, the drivetrain motivates it really well, even with a trailer with my tractor behind it. I’ve been impressed with the durango.
I literally would do this if I had a Hellcat Durango. For now Ill make do with my R/T. Absolutely one of my favorite videos with a Durango Hellcat, I swear someday Ill own one! Subscribed!
That looked extremely fun. I agree with your assessment of the Blizzaks lateral traction, currently they are reducing my ability to randomly drift around corners at low speeds with myfamily.... but they definitely claw there way through winter and are much safer than the all terrains that I use the rest of the year.
love this beast SRT, durango i started with GT then RT black top now SRT392 Black top all i can is i love this car. the amount of grip and control it has is always been my confidence. love this car
I have those tires on my Durango RT. Blizzaks bring that thing to life in the winter. Night and day difference over regular all season tires and massive control on ice.
hold the trac button with the ignition in the "key on position" -continue to hold it while starting the engine and continue to hold for about 7 seconds until the brake light comes on after the ABS lights. I have a 2015 5.7 AWD charger and that's what works for me. no assists at all
Blizzaks are really good winter tires. Used to work at a tire shop for two years. Blizzaks are good as well as nokian wr g4 if you have smaller wheels.
Would love to see you guys test a fiesta st before you modify it for proper use! Your guy’s use of them on the channel has made me even prouder to own one, But also has me torn on which direction to modify it!
Blizzacks may be a little extra cash, but damn if they aren't fantastic. I've had a set to put on my Speed3 for MN winters and they just claw through every winter storm like it's nothing
I absolutely love my Durangos and Ik in this video you done the hellcat Durango but wonder how a Durango with the 5.7 hemi would do? I know it won’t be as fast as the hellcat one but I have one that has a 5.7 in it I have an RT Durango
Fantastic video guys, been hoping for either this or a Trackhawk to make an appearance. Looks like it had pretty sharp front end grip considering the conditions and overall weight of the vehicle.
I wouldn’t mind opting for the cheaper SRT model with only 475hp.. the damn thing still with its awd takes off the line so quick and I can deal with that since there’s really not much open road near me
Best snow tires for a sporty car are Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4/PA5. The blizzaks and nokian are better in deep snow by about 5% but on dry cold roads the PA4/PA5 feel like a summer tire on a sporty car, and they still do the damn thing in snow and ice. I’ve used all the main winter tires over the years and the PA4/PA5 absolutely blew me away at their cold pavement performance. I’ve also gone through snow up past the bottom of the doors in my STI so that it was plowing snow with the nose. Good enough in the snow and fantastic when it’s not snowing. Couldn’t tell you about winter tires for an SUV cuz I like driving and don’t want to drive around a 5000lb automatic lol
Very fun video and I love seeing the Durango Hellcat proving how well it can rally! I love driving my LX470 with Hakkas (would love to compare same vehicle with Blizzaks) in very slippery snow/ice. I have definitely settled on always locking the center diff both for the straight line stability at speed and the ability to go much harder into corners without losing the back end. What are your thoughts on part time or fully lockable full time 4WD on a big girl like this in the snow/ice versus the AWD systems that never truly lock up the center?
It’s a heavy suv so it’s gonna understeer like crazy because of how high the weight sits, the engine gives just enough pull to get it going straight and over most terrain at low speed without getting stuck. It’s power to weight is acceptable but don’t expect it to take a rock and be okay with it if you’re going too fast. A good option for the beaten path
Dam you out there just showing off. Really wish I could own one . I’d love to go to a driving school for my AWD 5.7 R/T for drifting on snow and ice. I wish I could learn how to use what I have to it capabilities.
Awesome Video, it's a shame that my Durango R/T doesn't have a track mode. It could be nice in Colorado winters to have some fun on gravel roads in the snow.
If you have a Bluetooth OBD2 scanner, I'm pretty sure jscan works with Durangos (depending on year, you definitely want to look that up), hop into the computer and shut off traction control. Have fun safely!
Imagine working all day every day for years, you make the connections, you finally made it. Now, imagine it's a crisp winter day, and you ask your dad to come out to the front yard, who finally retired knowing full well his son earns for the family, and he can enjoy his golden years, and you both walk out on that crisp winter day, and he sees this blacked out behemoth parked on the driveway, with his name on it, fresh tires, and massive red brake calipers. Damn...
заебись, охуительно. давайте опять серию выпусков will it rally, Вайат Нокс всё таки хороший ведущий.. Он может добиться больших просмотров, относительно больших в столь узкой теме.. надо это понимать.
I really call it bs that it’s the third fastest! On the straight, you could’ve gone faster! And the fact that the Dodge Durango didn’t have a handbrake to use! And the fact that you still had ABS on and so you had to drive a certain way! With all of that into play! It seems like the Durango is faster than the WRX.. I think it should’ve been a tie
I am SO jelly!!! I bought a 2021 Durango RT, Tow N Go for many reasons - larger SUV for family, AWD for my Midwest winters, I've already done numerous mods and the next is a Whipple 3.0 with an easy goal of over 600 crank HP. And I'm dying to do some donuts / cookies / brodies but let me tell you Global Warming is real!!!! I've had this vehicle THREE years now and not ONCE have I had the chance to put into Track mode with ECS off and enjoy it like this! UGH!!!!!! 🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁
5:27 a hot rod snowmobile that you took a shortcut with, too. Per the tire discussion, what do you think of the Toyo Observe G3 Ice? To me they seem excellent in all dimensions. Definitely better than the Pirelli Winter Sottozeros I had on before, which were absolutely useless on ice and hardpack while not being good enough on dry pavement to make up for it.
So i have a awd kona its mostly front wheel drive with the ability to do 50/50 do you guys think itd rally, its also a dct so my thoughts are it might not be good for that
Man if dodge had fixed the look of the back of the durango, they would have a had a best seller but its such a let down. The only bad angles are from the back. Not aggressive, almost like a mom SUV.
These videos are great as a standalone, but comparing the times to each other is a bit pointless when several of the vehicles aren't on snow tires. Maybe splitting the winter time list into 2 lists could help.
Wyatt's out here proving most people just can't drive worth a damn.
True and proper tires help as well
That should be a given. Most people that buy these are no where near professional level of driving. Have you seen the guy that took the hellcat ring for a lap? He drove the shit out of that car.
Hhyeah! Not me! Looks like so much fun!
For sure, but this is how I grew up!
I just got an awd 2000 durnago 5.9L and it does surprisingly good out in the snow I don't think it could get stuck in anything with the right tires
I'm impressed the Durango was able to do the whole lap on one tank of gas.
😂
😂😂
And with only 2 sets of brakes ! 🥳🥳🥳🥳😂😂😂😜
That's called "TV magic" 🤷♂️
😂😂😂😂
we need this and the TRX on the summer list too
What a beast. Thanks for keeping this series alive! It's been a joy to watch over the years
Thanking for watching and sticking with us!
The sideways traction of tires really is a thing. I have had tires that felt great standing on the thottle from of stop, but become completely useless as soon as you get slightly sideways.

idk if im correct on this but ive seen rally tires and i think i heard somewhere that that may be what the outer tread is for. From the inner to outer part the pattern changes
@@user-sd3rj6tl8lExactly, that's why it's basically at a 45° angle.
Coolest concept for a driving channel
Thank you we appreciate that.
I keep saying this: Dodge has been dialing handling dynamics and they're doing a great job.
NO NO garbage money Pitt
@TheSpyder699 yes yes, you're a hater.
That thing is a beast. I would love to have one of the last final call models, or heck even just one of the 392 models.
Dont fall for it lol. In 2021 they said that it would be the only year. Then in 2023 they made another 2500 of them and said it would be the last year. So I traded in the 2021 hellcat for the 23 hellcat durango. now they are saying they will make more in 2024 smh haha.
You’re nuts! Haha. I can’t even fathom hustling something so expensive and fast through the timber, like that. ✊️
Strangely, I've had the opposite experience with Blizzaks and Nokians. Both the Blizzak WS60 and WS90 I've run had a tendency towards understeer when you would overstep traction. I would love to see a winter tyre test on the same vehicle from Wyatt!
What did you put the tire on?
I e never done anything like that with the wifes durango, even tho i have sent requests up the chain of command just to be shut down. Ive never had the privilege of trying out the srt one. I just bought a 2023 Black Durango Hellcat. This video made me feel better about the purchase
I literally would do this if I had a Hellcat Durango. For now Ill make do with my R/T. Absolutely one of my favorite videos with a Durango Hellcat, I swear someday Ill own one! Subscribed!

And we loved having it visit us!
I have those tires on my Durango RT. Blizzaks bring that thing to life in the winter. Night and day difference over regular all season tires and massive control on ice.
It’ll tear up the track and the road to the soccer pitch.
don’t forget Costco and the mall. 😂 Love mine 🏁
I daily drive a grand marquis with blizzaks in the winter and its absolutely unstoppable. Tires are more important then drivetrain layout.
A grand marquis with blizzaks is legendary. 🫡
I gotta say, dodge gets a lot of shit but I have loved every mopar car I’ve ever owned. They’re always fun and good value per dollar.
Thanks for sharing this Wyatt and fun to see different cars do different things!
Thanks for watching!
Durango rally beast comfirmed
I have the exact same car (down to the color 😂) and was literally doing donuts yesterday for the first time. It was glorious!
This part of O’Neils videos is just so underrated!!!!
Driving skills are top dollar 💯💯💯
Just bought one yesterday in Destroyer grey traded in my RT
Thanks for this video, I own a 21’ HCD and i love watching what it can do in the snow. I live in San Diego and we dnt get anow here
This is awesome. These videos help me get my friends into rally. Much love.
I love the random vehicles, I'd like to see a 90s dodge ram or Chevy and a Lexus GX personally.
Love the footwell cam
That was so fun to watch. Great driving. Thing looked great in black too!
blizzaks ftw...they have always been the best snow tire. I had em on a mk6 vw gti and it was amazing in the snow.
The fact its half a second off from a WRX is impressive
Hell yea. I have a 392 durango and ripp through the Wisconsin snow on just all terrain tires. Debating on getting a hellcat or paying mine off.😅
hold the trac button with the ignition in the "key on position" -continue to hold it while starting the engine and continue to hold for about 7 seconds until the brake light comes on after the ABS lights. I have a 2015 5.7 AWD charger and that's what works for me. no assists at all
Keep this series going!! Love it
Blizzaks are really good winter tires. Used to work at a tire shop for two years. Blizzaks are good as well as nokian wr g4 if you have smaller wheels.
I would love to see the Honda Ridgeline on the Will ilIt Rally series, especially in the snow.
2nd gen Ridgeline is absolutely fantastic in the snow I prefer the TCS on for tight snow covered roads
Would have tons of understeer I would imagine
has he done a trx?
People love to have on dodge but they make some awesome vehicles
Gotta love them rangos
Would love to see you guys test a fiesta st before you modify it for proper use! Your guy’s use of them on the channel has made me even prouder to own one, But also has me torn on which direction to modify it!
Lets go, another will it rally!
Blizzacks may be a little extra cash, but damn if they aren't fantastic. I've had a set to put on my Speed3 for MN winters and they just claw through every winter storm like it's nothing
This is why team O’Neil is so unique. there is dirt fish and they’re incredible but they don’t do this.
Love it! Is it just me or does it seem like the left winter boot is searching the want of a clutch pedal? 😅
Ima need to learn this kind of skill quick.
I've loved the Durango's I've had as rentals. Only had a V8 rental once. Probably for the best or I'd have found one to buy in the SRT guise.
I wouldn’t mind opting for the cheaper SRT model with only 475hp.. the damn thing still with its awd takes off the line so quick and I can deal with that since there’s really not much open road near me
Beautiful! Mopar baby!!!
Every American loves this video

Drove just a plain SRT Durango once. Even that thing was mean, I didn't get it sideways though lol

You should redo the GR Corolla when it's not slippery af, I want to see how close it gets to the Subaru WRX
love these videos! can you do a subaru crosstrek next??
Would love to see one of these with a Porsche 944. It’s been snowy near me recently and I’ve had loads of fun
Greatest cars ever till you have to change the clutch or it won't go into first lol
@@xx-----------xx873 mine has a new clutch so I’m happy about that!
Honestly a really smart move, it took 20 hours to change it on my driveway lol@@elliotsees8934
The big ol winter boots cam got me laughing 😂😂😂
Dam you out there just showing off. Really wish I could own one . I’d love to go to a driving school for my AWD 5.7 R/T for drifting on snow and ice. I wish I could learn how to use what I have to it capabilities.
I wonder how my fx50 would do it's a beast in the Snow.

thats my dream car
Did you actually fold down the seats to lower the center of gravity?
Absolute beast, and the car seems nice too.
I saw that and thought the same. 50 pounds moved down 1 foot probably helps
Probably just for the camera view
Good vid
Hi Team O'Neil, love the will it rally videos. Can you guys do a Subaru outback/Crosstrek?
I wanna see Adam LZ’s safari GTR out here lol
This video could be a dodge commercial
Wyatt : I'm not gonna push it
Also Wyatt : 6:22
Do a q7

Not suprising when you realize the AWD in this works pretty much exactly like WRX STI. Just with open front and rear diffs
Dang you keep doing scary sh*t😂😂 first it was the f350 now this…
Do a Lexus is350
Try the Ford Explorer ST. Not as fast as the Durango but lighter and shorter.
Do an Audi
i'd love to see a new gen CRV run this course on snow tires, i have weird feeling that it would be shockingly competent
Curious to know what it would do in snow mode.
Can yall do a 2008+ Mitsubishi Lancer
can you do will it rally 2015-2019 hyundai sonata?
Welp. Just bought one and already looking forward to next winter after this ha
Hell Yeah! Love my ‘23 DDHC 🇺🇸🏁

At least 350hp of snow blowing
Man if dodge had fixed the look of the back of the durango, they would have a had a best seller but its such a let down. The only bad angles are from the back. Not aggressive, almost like a mom SUV.
let me come out
Easy, when you know how
5:43 😂
These videos are great as a standalone, but comparing the times to each other is a bit pointless when several of the vehicles aren't on snow tires. Maybe splitting the winter time list into 2 lists could help.
Do an Audi q7 or Sq7 do it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The $100k vehicle that looks like its worth $29k
It's a perfect sleeper 😅
Where else can you get 700 HP with a factory warranty for that price?
Apex predator of the suv world... lmfao!
Do the trackhawk once
Wrangler 392!!!
Gripzone Blizzacks I will not forget
