Wowzer. Just when I thought you'd given enough reasons to go there, with the winter climate, the stunning roads and scenery, then you drop this on us! Absolutely beautiful selection of cars and some very rare beauties. Great video, thanks for "taking us along"! 👍
Always amazing to see such lovely cars. I was once at the Lakes Car Musuem with my family and a whole bevy of classic cars rocked up and had a meet. It was amazing!
Thanks for the work you’re putting into the RUclips channel. We enjoy seeing and learning about what’s going on around you. Some stunning old cars in this one! My dad used to have an old Opel like that black and red one - his was black and yellow. Cheers from the Pacific Northwest, USA.
Very nice video, thanks for visiting our island Tenerife and for showing our 20 Clasica Tenerife. The Canary Islands do have a large collections of clasic cars. You are welcome, Natalia
Hello you 2, loved this video what a superb collection of classic cars, my favourite TR4 as I used to have a 1966 one, mind you that red Mercedes whoa, Glad Monika selected a Mercedes convertible (suit you sir) you will have to save a lot for one of those Freddie. I think that you two are starting to really enjoy Tenerife, and the only bike a Triumph scrambler, excellent
Just caught up with your last 2 vlogs,, love the car show my favourite was the Volvo 1800 so thanks for that. we are just off the Withlachoocee trail in Florida, I got to borrow a Harley from my friend Bob, the bike is massive compared to my bonnie, to big for a short arse like me but we have enjoyed riding over here. Keep the great blogs coming. Thanks.
Freddie & Monika its freezing in the UK now .... you guys are so lucky & we are also lucking to have to have such a nice couple with a fab youtube channel ... also good to see your numbers are growing ... have a great thursday evening and day tomorrow .
Wow...I am shocked at myself that I really really loved the old Alfa Romeos, especally the red and gold pair and again what a backdrop. Great episode, nice choice there Monika, I could see you in that!!!!!
Thanks for the report. Spectacular exibition of classic cars. For me the most spectacular were the Bentley. I was in the Tegueste regrouping. Best regards
Thanks so much for this 4K video! I love these classic cars, and I was very impressed with how well kept they all were..!💫 I feel old when you didn't instantly recognize the classics from my childhood, like the iconic Ferrari Testarossa at 8:57 or the blue Honda at 11:48.😅👍 However, I also had *never* heard of the Bizzarrini car brand or seen that car before (18:08). (edit: A Wikipedia page explains Bizzarrini existed from 1964 to 1969.) What a beauty!

What a fantastic selection of cars. It's amazing how many totally different designs that designers came up with back in the day, compared to how similar all modern cars look. Loved the Alfa Montreal....and the orange Renault 8 and the Porsche Targa....and.......basically all of them. Super video. Thanks for posting. Take care you two and have fun 👍
Amazing video Freddie, thanks so much. Keep them coming. You guys stay safe. Pete (Royal Enfield Bullet rider!). Let us know if you see any Francis Barnett motorcycles out there!! 😁
Freddie, that was a great turn out and it’s nice that the rally was a manageable size and didn’t require 2 days to get around. The park looked like a beautiful place to talk a walk with all those spectacular trees. Your point about the strength of the British motor industry back then is very well taken and many of those Jaguars and Healeys are works of automotive art. If only the quality of the engineering could have matched the quality of design. Once we got to the late 70’s and 80’s it all came tumbling down. Nice choice Monica, that is a very feminine car and you would indeed look very good behind the wheel, tell Freddie to start saving hard.
Great vlog, Freddie. You've got me reminiscing about my first car, a 1979 black mini clubman 1100cc. Absolutely loved it. Great fun to drive. The racing green mini in your vlog looked immaculate! 🤩
There's a strong arguement that pound for pound, the mini is the best car ever made. Bury your right foot and ignore corners, it will get round. A well sorted mini is an absolute joy to drive.
Freddie, man, great video. I’ve had an Austin mini, early 70’s, MGBGT mid 70’s and I think I saw my Opal Manta GTE in there…..what an extraordinarily great video. Thank you. It’s definitely worth a trip up from the south of the island. Oh how times have have changed to now having a Swift😂🙄
What a selection- imagine if you had all of your old cars lined up now- you’d have your own classic car museum❤️👌🏻🚗🚗🚗 I don’t blame you at all- Japanese quality is impossible to ignore🇯🇵💪🏼
Loved this vlog, it may not be bikes but I’m sure we are mostly petrolheads, my car journey has included mk1 escort, mk1 capri, triumph Vitesse 2L straight six in baby blue, a bright orange BMW 2002Tii, triumph dolomite, then things went a bit more bland (family will do that 😂). Have recently had to scrap an MGB in British racing green because I just did not have the time to work on it because of working in mainland Europe. Tried to give it to the British motor museum too, just wanted someone to enjoy it as much as I had in the past. Ian Back on Two Wheels
Lovely cars, re XL MOTO had a bad experience with them this year when I ordered a airbag vest, in the end they sent me 2 that were missing the electronic brain twice, and I had to pay twice and wait to get money back, not cheap. I had a bad experience for sure also wasn’t aware they were in Poland as was a .co.uk site so though in uk. Shipping took forever to get here. Anyway I am prepared to give them another try as a lot say ok 👍 if good enough for Freddie it’s ok for me.
That blower Bentley is a lovely thing, they make lots of “close” copies now days. Interesting fact They were race prepared in the 30’s in my home town of Welwyn Garden City in a workshop that is now Topps Tiles! There is a little plaque on the wall.
Even a Renault 8(!). My first car was a 1969 Renault 8. Think it was a "sport" version with the four headlamps. Mine was the base model, and only had two. Also, the rear lights had a different shape, I noticed. Also an example of the "posh" version, the Renault Major (later sixties examples were branded Renault 10), did I spot... Oh, and that red P1800 Volvo... that was snazzy! And the 300SL... ooooh...(!).
Looks like you both had a great day out. Thanks for Sharing it with us. shelley is not a car fan, so I would never get to see this type of day. Great work. Have a good weekend.
That Opel coupe is a Kadett B. Late sixties/early seventies (Richard Hammond's "Oliver" is a regular two-door 1965 Kadett A, for reference). This coupe version was also called the Rally Kadett. And no, Vauxhall didn't have an equivalent. Allthough GM owned both, Opel and Vauxhall cars were not badge engineered versions of each other back then. That came later. The 3.0 CSi BMW is basically the forerunner of the first 6- series. The whole model range is called E9 (The saloon version was the E3, and- as you may have guessed- the forerunner of the first 7- series, and made during the same period, albeit a year or so longer than the coupe) in internal BMW- speak, and they were made between 1968 and 1975. Peronally, I think it's the most beautiful car BMW ever made. I even put it in my personal top 5 of all time for sheer looks. Maybe even top 3... And so many Mercedes Pagoda's(!). Those aren't cheap anymore... I counted, I think, five... I understand why Monica picked one of them as her favourite, though. They are so nice. I prefer the successor, the W107 myself, though...
Registration numbers changed in Spain some time ago. Four numbers followed by three letters and basically the later the letters are in the alphabet you can estimate how old the vehicle is. The registration numbers are issued on sales volume hence the complications. Great content as always!
I can't say I am into cars much but ya have to appreciate the style and work that has gone into restoring or just keeping up these classics .I can just see Monica driving the baby blue Merc around Monaco in her designer shades . Better get saving Freddie especially if you that that rare bird that was there . Good one guys : )
Great video Freddie and love the appreciation for classic cars, the older I get the more I appreciate their individuality and character, each one has a personality,, even the beat up old Seat or my favourite from my youth, the Peugeot 205 GTI. Most modern cars seem to miss the mark with regards to style!
Really enjoyed your classic car vlog Freddie, Monica looking very classy as well, but you know what they say !!! Four wheels move the body but two wheels move the soul 🙂 keep them coming 😉
Nice vídeo Freddie. I saw many of them yesterday on my way to Santiago del Teide and rode a while behind that Renault and big fat Ford with the double headlights. Even if you couldn’t see them you could certainly smell them 🤭
Great video, i was fortunate enough to be on holiday in Koh Samui around 7 years ago and there was a motorbike and classic bike show there. Literally hundreds of pristine bikes on show from people all over South East Asia. Some if the Norton bikes there were jaw dropping
Nice chilled out vid Fred. I wasn’t so chilled on your leprosy vid cause I could see you were getting very dehydrated. I had a mate who got dehydrated and collapsed 😅 I love classic cars and would love one for myself but unfortunately I don’t have a big enough garage, so I guess just motorbikes for me. Keep up the good work.
That looked an amazing day out but far too many people around for me to feel comfortable. I'd be finding out the rally route and plonking myself down somewhere remote with the old Canon and taking some action shots as they drove past :)
Really good video! So, save up some money and go on classic car shows now! :) Really like your style of doing videos! Best regads from a chilly Sweden. - 3 degrees right now in the morning...Have a great one!
My second car was an identical colour Opel Kadette Rallye as shown 12.10. As a teenager it cost me a small fortune in insurance. A fast little car in it's day.
Fantastic turnout of classic cars, agree those Mercs rather classy, but prefer the more modest Alfa Romeo saloons. Great video as always thanks Freddie and Monica.
@@FreddieDobbs it's lovely to see all the old cars not just in this video , the ones you show us when you're out and about amazing condition of most of them even the not so well loved ones , thank you both for taking time and effort to make your videos 👍
Good one Freddie-The Bizzarrini is the the rarest of the rare you may never see one again- Designed By Giotto Bizzarrini himself - ex lambo Alfa and Ferrari he was involved in the creation of some of the worlds greatest and most valuable classics ..inc the Ferrari 250 gto…
Hi Freddie if you like the classic cars, there are several events like this along the year in Tenerife, there are also some classics motorbikes events, By the way I have an Alfa Romeo Sprint Veloce 1500 from 1980
Could you let me know, or send me a link to the car and bike events please Andres??🙂. Instagram (@dob.bs) or dob.bs@outlook.com would be amazing if you’re happy to share the info with me🙂 What a car you own!
Never would have guessed there was a Clasica de Tenerife - very interesting. I hope your savings are earning plenty of interest for Monika's baby-blue Mercedes - nice car!
I’d have had no idea about if had I not been tipped off by a local- I found it ridiculously hard to figure out when/where it is otherwise!😆. The savings have started (I must work harder!)
Thank you for a lovely vid. I do like a classic car. Ive had morris 1000s and early VW campers. It does seem you could probably get your old merc from there and require minimal work. unlike English examples!
the best buys are the 1980's Mercs which you see the old boys driving around, bought from new, well looked after and never ramped raced or rallied.. but generally it's make do and mend here. Might not be rusty but most are bodged up because of either lack of spares lack of cash or usually both. for a small island, petrol is (was) cheap so cars here really rack up the Kms.. locals always describe their cars or bikes as "totally original and in excellent condition" seldom anywhere near the truth... caveat emptor !
That’s a great duo you’ve had! It really is incredible how well preserved the bodywork is on the Tenerife cars- even the unloved ones!👌🏻👌🏻 And 80s or 90s Merc would be a dream🤞🏻🇮🇨
Glad you enjoyed my city, one thing, is not necessary to buy the car here to have Tenerife or Spanish number plates, if you import a car you have to change them, i have a US car and now i have spanish plate.I hope we coincide sometime and tell you some motorcycle routes. nice videos
I just got back from the Vons market in Manhattan Beach, California, where I saw a late ‘50’s - early ‘60’s Mercedes Benz 300SL roadster in absolutely perfect condition parked incongruously by the front door. “Hon, I’m going to the market in my million dollar plus roadster. Anything I can pick up for you?”
🤣🤣🤣 What a sight- seeing a car like that being used in the real world must be so special! There’s something even more special about seeing these cars away from car shows👌🏻👌🏻
Perfect Sunday morning viewing. Some absolute stunners there! Impossible to pick a favourite but the Alfas are pretty special.
So true- I kept going back and forth with my favourite and I still couldn’t decide!

Freddie, you didn’t even mention that one of the Bentleys had a blower on it!
I’m embarrassed to say I didn’t even realise!🤦🏼♂️
I love old Jaguars and Bristols most
That looked an amazing day out but far too many people around for me to feel comfortable. I'd be finding out the rally route and plonking myself down somewhere remote with the old Canon and taking some action shots as they drove past :)
Great shout- I know a few people who went up into the mountains and did just this!🙂👌🏻
Really good video! So, save up some money and go on classic car shows now! :) Really like your style of doing videos! Best regads from a chilly Sweden. - 3 degrees right now in the morning...Have a great one!
Really glad you enjoyed it Petter and hello over in Sweden!🇸🇪
The savings account is all set up and ready to go!😀🚗👌🏻
Lovely.
Great video Freddie, does Monica have her own Tube or is she just your camerawoman ?:)
My second car was an identical colour Opel Kadette Rallye as shown 12.10. As a teenager it cost me a small fortune in insurance. A fast little car in it's day.
They’ve aged incredibly well- very classy cars😍🚗👌🏻
Fantastic turnout of classic cars, agree those Mercs rather classy, but prefer the more modest Alfa Romeo saloons. Great video as always thanks Freddie and Monica.
Thanks Dave!
The Alfas are so subtly classy👌🏻
Another great video , still think kids in a candy store 😅 , you should buy Monica one of those mecs for Christmas 👍
Thanks Trevor- the savings account has been set up!😆🏦🚗
@@FreddieDobbs it's lovely to see all the old cars not just in this video , the ones you show us when you're out and about amazing condition of most of them even the not so well loved ones , thank you both for taking time and effort to make your videos 👍
@@trevorturner7682 Thank you for the support, Trevor! I really do love the simple old every day ones as much as the super expensive classics
@@FreddieDobbs 👍
Good one Freddie-The Bizzarrini is the the rarest of the rare you may never see one again- Designed By Giotto Bizzarrini himself - ex lambo Alfa and Ferrari he was involved in the creation of some of the worlds greatest and most valuable classics ..inc the Ferrari 250 gto…
I’d never heard of it and it’s only when I googled Bizzarrini that same evening that I realised how rare and valuable it was!😳
Hi Freddie if you like the classic cars, there are several events like this along the year in Tenerife, there are also some classics motorbikes events, By the way I have an Alfa Romeo Sprint Veloce 1500 from 1980
Could you let me know, or send me a link to the car and bike events please Andres??🙂. Instagram (@dob.bs) or dob.bs@outlook.com would be amazing if you’re happy to share the info with me🙂
What a car you own!
At 9:14 that’s not a Jag, it’s a Daimler 250 (based upon a Jaguar saloon but fitted with a hemi V8)
Ahhhhh thanks for the heads up!🙂🙌🏻
Back in the day I had a brand new Morris Mini Clubman (1973) £850 on the road!
Mind blowing!!💷. I LOVE them❤️🚗👌🏻
Never would have guessed there was a Clasica de Tenerife - very interesting. I hope your savings are earning plenty of interest for Monika's baby-blue Mercedes - nice car!
I’d have had no idea about if had I not been tipped off by a local- I found it ridiculously hard to figure out when/where it is otherwise!😆. The savings have started (I must work harder!)
Mini Austin
Sorry, Monica's choice the 280 SL is exactly the car I already chose. I got first dibs.
Glad you enjoyed my city, one thing, is not necessary to buy the car here to have Tenerife or Spanish number plates, if you import a car you have to change them, i have a US car and now i have spanish plate.I hope we coincide sometime and tell you some motorcycle routes. nice videos
Ahh interesting- thanks for the heads up Guillermo!🙂
I just got back from the Vons market in Manhattan Beach, California, where I saw a late ‘50’s - early ‘60’s Mercedes Benz 300SL roadster in absolutely perfect condition parked incongruously by the front door. “Hon, I’m going to the market in my million dollar plus roadster. Anything I can pick up for you?”
🤣🤣🤣
What a sight- seeing a car like that being used in the real world must be so special! There’s something even more special about seeing these cars away from car shows👌🏻👌🏻
Absolutely. Cars are meant to be driven. Although I doubt those classic old Bentleys ever feel the tarmac beneath their tires.
