I did hydrotherapy for a dog paralyzed in his hind quarters after having surgery on his spine for a ruptured disc. It took a long time, but the days when he first began supporting his weight and taking his first shaky steps…I wanted to cry! It was like I was watching my first-born!
Nothing more heartwarming than watching people who have a deep love for animals, working with them. I really enjoy seeing how you maneuver her body and how well she responds ❤

My mom worked for a chiropractor for 35 yrs. He mainly treated humans, but there were times that one of the horse farms would call him to work with their horses. When I was a kid, we were given a couple of puppies from a friend. One of them had neck and front leg problems and could not stand on the legs. My mom's boss treated him for a few of weeks. The issues cleared up, and the dog grew to old age, skipping and jumping all the way.
20 + treatments and countless hours working with dad. What an amazing transformation! And such a happy Zoe now. ❤ Quite incredible. Thank you for sharing this story.
I LOVE this couple/family and their passion to look after their precious little baby. This is my most favorite case of all time because of them and their love for their little puppy. I am beyond impressed, they all deserve big hugs, lots of love, and a miraculous recovery for this lovely little dog. What a parents Dad Carlos is along with his wife and brother. Awesome, nice work Dr. Doug. Zoe is working and understanding too, this is beautiful to see.
Dr.Doug I think Zoe, as painful as it was for her, wanted to get get better. She was certainly with the right ones to help her. Thank you for helping Zoe and her family ❤❤❤
I don’t think it’s painful or she would be yelping. My tiny little dog has had chiro treatment and she would have shrieked if anything hurt her. I love your work Dr. Doug!
I don't know if these two have children, but I have no doubt that they will be exceptional parents to their human babies just like they are to their fur baby Zoe.
Also oh my gosh Zoe running little circles at the end! All that hard work paid off to everyone! Thank you to everyone and Zoe for not giving up! Sobbing! Amazing!!! Bravo to everyone!!!❤❤❤
I can’t help feeling like something seriously traumatic happened to Zoey. For her disks to be so bad as to cause lameness… someone abused this poor baby. 😢 That alone breaks my heart. But clearly her owner really loves her, to be so attentive. I’m so happy the Doc is able to help her. 🙏🏼💕
As a former senior orthopaedic nurse in the late 70's-early 90's [UK/Germany] I was really excited to see the improvement from the hard work of the owners and Dr. Doug as well as the lovely Zoe! Great job all round and I really enjoyed the video! Hope Zoe has a speedy recovery and be independent and happy again!
Poor baby was stressing out but she understood you were trying to help her. I’m sure her anxiety was from pain of manipulating her discs. As time passed, she was definitely less anxious. As a spinal patient myself, decompression felt great after therapy. My therapist used to hook a hip belt on me and tie it on his hips and using his full body weight, he’d pull on my hips. It opened the discs up and relaxed the muscles. So glad nobody gave up on her.
Doc!!! This was absolutely beautiful!!!!! You truly have been given a great gift!!!! I so love your compassion!!! Not only for the critters but also for the people!!!! Then his heart started failing but seeing him dance at Christmas will always be one of my best memories. The chiropractor told me he would walk again, he was right. Don’t give up.
I cannot get enough of watching this chiropractor work on dogs He is wonderful patient and it seems like he really knows what he's doing I know as a pet owner the love you have for your dogs you'll do anything for them Is money well spent
Dr Willen, what a great 👍 couple Karen and Carlos are. Zoe is so lucky to have them by her side, so do they. This was a really tough case but Dr Doug, you have a beautiful heart ❤️ and did your absolute best. This is what I call a miracle and they do exist, as well as working as a team and never give up. Isn’t Dr Doug is the best, from the beginning of this video I knew it, if anyone can help Zoe then it’s definitely you and you were so awesome 👏 throughout her journey. Her peeing and pooping while being adjusted didn’t bother Dr Willen cause he knew that could happen when they were.stretching her. Once again you’re the GOAT and thank you 🙏 for your talented magic hands, they do create a real magic. To Karen and Carlos, they’d be a great 👍 parents to their children one day and just like Zoe, they’ll be so lucky to have you as they’re parents. Have a nice week doc, we love you and you continuing amaze me.
That was a lot of therapy, but wonderful results! Well worth the effort to heal her up. Anyone else notice how long her hair was!? She was a cute, poofy poodle at the end. It was such a great story! Wonderful pet owners. ❤️
Awwww! What a beautiful story of love, hard work, perseverance, and expert chiropractic treatment. Zoe is a spunky little rock star. I love the sweet kisses at the end. God bless you all. I am praying for a complete recovery. Get well soon, beautiful Zoe. You have got this! 🏆🙏🌟🩵😍🩵🌟🙏🏆
As someone who suffers from chronic pain, that energy Zoe got is energy she has always had, it's being seen now because it's not being spent on dealing with pain.
Thank you for sharing Zoe's progress. It provides evidence that chiropractic therapy needs TIME to allow the body to respond, and that just one visit is usually not enough to rectify an existing debilitating condition.
What a beautiful story and transformation for Zoe! I truly believe in the work of chiropractic treatments to help heal the body from deep inside. Zoe you have wonderful parents that love you and take great care of you ❤️
What a wonderful result. Hard earned, but so worth it. Zoe is lucky to have had a loving family willing to put in the hard work at home to get the maximum benefit from your sessions. Sadly, others may have given up on her. Well done guys and well done Zoe!!
You are amazing Dr. Doug, and I give her mom and dad a lot of credit for being so patient and working with her! I can’t believe the little miracle is running around her yard….that is so beautiful! I love happy ending! ❤

Wow. Huge respect to Zoe's family and of course to you, Dr. Doug. It may not look like the straightest of walks at the end of the video, but it still is infinitely better then the initial zero. The amount of health problems that could have been caused by a prolonged lower-body immobility alone has made it all very much worth it. I am hoping for full recovery. I did pause the video at the end to write this and then unpaused before posting and heard that the vet had initially given Zoe a month to live. Welp. Turns out that I was even more right than I thought. Thank you, Dr. Doug.
This was a work in progress, Zoe didn't give up. So many hours of work and lots of love. Thank you for sharing her story, so happy that she is doing so much better.
Doug you're wonderful! 🥺 My heart is aching form watching this story despite you letting us know in the title it's a successful one Kudos to Carlos and Karen for bringing Zoe to so many sessions with you, working tirelessly to get their fur baby back to health. It's so obvious they absolutely love her like family and will not give up on her, at any cost❤, specially after being diagnosed with Intervertebral disc disease (IVDD) and told she hadn't much longer to live (😢 wth?) Great case. I love we were able to see the final outcome.
May I just say what remarkable people Zoe’s humans are? Working every day with her took a lot of time but wow-what a change! Thank you for your expertise Dr. Doug! I loved watching the journey. Truly remarkable!

Poor little thing .Zoe has such dedicated owners to love her and work on her . Glad you could help her Dr Doug over all those treatments . You really are a miracle worker! What a fascinating video to follow . Thanks for sharing.
He is so committed to get her to walk again and yes she is young little dog, this video is the best 1 to watch and learn from. Thank you owner and doc for showing us.
Amazing! Credit to the owners. They've worked so hard and obviously love Zoe very much. Wonderful to see. You're a true healer Dr Doug. Thankyou for sharing these life changing videos. Xx
It wasn’t an overnight miracle but it was still a miracle. There was clearly no guarantee with this case. I could see Dr Doug was hopeful but I could also see a bit of sadness at the state she was in. You never know when you’ll just bounce back from an injury and when it’s going to take time. This was both a journey of faith and science.
God bless you, Doc. I know your profession isn't given the credit that it deserves. But let me say this, I'll take a good chiropractor over a visit to an M.D. any day of the week. This family has done an amazing job helping their little dog back into recovery. It's great to see how much heart that little pup has. What a huge transformation this dog has taken.
Great progress. I wondered about water treatment. Fill a bathtub partially and just put her in enough to work her legs. It will stimulate muscles and increase blood flow, might help, it helps with humans. If there is nerve damage from injury or accident, those will either not change or sometimes they will regenerate somewhat. Good luck. God bless y'all for not turning your back on her. ❤
Swim spa therapy would be awesome for this dog. I am a true believer in swim spa therapy. My lab use to wake up screaming and crying every time he would wake up and move from my room to living room. But once we went to the swim spa massage not only did he stop screaming and crying having to get up and move in the morning or after a big nap he was able to jump into the car go for long walks and easily get up and go after sleeping and never once a peep. Dogs may be angels in disguise but sometimes angels need a little assistance from angels in training. 🥰
This is truly beyond amazing. What a journey of skill, love, and compassion. Dr. you really have shown the world what is possible and have given this little dog its life back. Kudos to the family for sticking to pt and not giving up on their beloved pet. This is so miraculous and inspiring.
Absolutely amazing!!! I know if I was feeling like this was hard on her I can only imagine how her owners felt. But this was for her own good, and look at her now!! Just a miracle, and Zoe looks soooo happy to be prancing out in her yard. I wonder with time and even more therapy bat home she will continue to improve! Thank you Dr. for helping Zoe and her family! ❤️ 🙏🏻 🐶
Saint Doug! You are a miracle worker that is always watching you work your skills a pleasure. Kudos to Carlos and his wife to not giving up on Zoe and doing physical therapy at home. 🥰
What a sweet brave little one. Poor baby been through a lot but miracles happen. The miracle of love, commitment and dedication. Lol the look on both your faces at 29:00 lol just priceless.
Such a beautiful loving family. Tears! Putting in the love, energy, and time on her rehabilitation combined with Dr. Dougs excellent adjustments made all the difference. I'm so happy for them all. 💞🙏🏻💞🐕💞

Poor little thing .Zoe has such dedicated owners to love her and work on her . Glad you could help her Dr Doug over all those treatments . You really are a miracle worker! What a fascinating video to follow . Thanks for sharing.
You‘re welcome Elaine!
Made me cry 😢 animals are so beautiful they deserve all the love in the world that happy lil dog has such a good home
He is so committed to get her to walk again and yes she is young little dog, this video is the best 1 to watch and learn from. Thank you owner and doc for showing us.
The owners really love her to get her back to health. I’m so happy to see her getting better! Amazing doctor!
Thanks for your thoughtful comment L.
And thank you, Doc, for your skills, dedication, patience and love to Zoe and her family 💕 🐾 😘
Thanks to you for watching and giving your support Sharbaker
God bless you, Doc. I know your profession isn't given the credit that it deserves. But let me say this, I'll take a good chiropractor over a visit to an M.D. any day of the week. This family has done an amazing job helping their little dog back into recovery. It's great to see how much heart that little pup has. What a huge transformation this dog has taken.
Dr. Doug! You are an awesome human to have such a loving heart for the animals❤
Zoe is such a sweet baby! I havent heard a single peep out of her! Bless her little heart! ❤️
Water is always good, Thanks for the blessing
God is so good, Doctor is so good, Dad and Mom and Uncle are so good; and Zoey is a champion! Thank you all for sharing her journey.
You’re so welcome Nancy!
Yes I agree with yout! Thanks for sharing your story. Awesome!
You can tell this Mom raised her son right. She is a good mother all the way around, to doggies and people!
