Im a 10 year old and go to bikepark wales every weekend as a beginner mountain biker and for anyone who is a beginner i would definitely recommend kermit I've mastered it and its extremely beautiful it takes around 20-30 minutes to complete def recommend ❤👍
This was a great video and you explained the trails and easy to understand.i went to Bike Park Wales on 2nd September with my son for mothers present and it was brilliant just for the day, definitely going back 😊
For those on the more advanced side of riding and hitting blacks and reds, I highly recommend roots maneuvers (2.5km red trail) and Escort (European enduro style natural black) definitely a harder one to find but we'll worth it. Some very good hidden gems at this place!
AC DC into Watts Occurring has a perfect blend flow and tech features and if you want a full mission, Roots Manoeuvers is the one. I tend to like to warm up on Vicious Valley into Surfing Bird, just to get my eye in.
I'm off for 2 days in between Christmas and New Year. 1st time and I can't wait. Definitely been on the mountain biking bucket list. Really enjoyed this video
Great video again matey 👍. Keep up the good work. Looking to do BPW with the lads (the youngest is 48) later this year but still a little nervous of it even after 31 years of MTB'ing.
Thanks mate. You will have a great time. It can be a bit nerve wracking when you arrive for the first time. Pick yourself an easy first trail and the nerves will melt away in no time.
Do it matey! I'm in my 50's and only started mtb riding two years ago. My mates are mostly in their 50's or late 40's. We have a blast at BPW. We've ridden a lot of their blue and red trails. It's definitely worth going - might even see you there :D
Nice vid mate. I stacked hard on Rim Dinger on a slippery slab. When I got back on my bike I crashed harder about 30 seconds later. My pedal did a nice job of making my leg look like I’d been attacked by a bear 🤣
Great video. I'm heading there for the first time in July. I'm going to stick to the green and blue trails as im only there for one day and I'll be riding solo. Would you recommend hiring a full face and protective gear? Thanks 🙂
Am so fortunate to live within 15 minutes of Bike Park Wales. I am new to the sport so have yet to make a visit. I have now bought my first ebike and cannot wait to get up there! Would you say I could use the blues in this video on a hardtail? They don't look too rough to need a full suspension! What go pro do you use? I'd love to buy one soon
@@bikeandbeyond cheers mate! Great channel, going to watch some more videos later. Will look at the go pro 8, don't think I need the new 10 model that's out
Helmets are mandatory (at least a half lid) and other protection is recommended but not required by the park. I always get a bit carried away when I go, so I tend to take the full face and pads.
@@bikeandbeyond cool thanks mate I’ve got a helmet but not a full face I’m not super good so I was only planning on riding the blues and maybe a few reds
From what I remember Roots manoeuvre and Mertha Rocks were good trails. I saw that they have just made 7 new trails and a couple of them are tech trails. Could be exciting.
@@bikeandbeyond wow ok I’m not quite good enough to be paying to go places yet lol only strayed trail riding this year and have a from what I can tell a very cheap mt bike lol carrera code disk but I’m enjoying it and found your channel when trying to find new places and new things to learn thank you
My friend put this bike together for his son and before I knew it he was done ruclips.net/user/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L When the son came to put it together he was surprised to see it was already done. All he had to do was take the bike to get air and be on his way. My friend did not have any major problems putting this bike together; small issue was putting one of the brakes on straight; however when the son got home he was able to fix it. The bike rides well gears move correctly; good bike for the price. Wrote review after the son took the bike. Sorry.
@@gethappycyclingcampingoutdoors It's all more predictable than natural trails. You know what you're getting before you strt really. If you have two days, you can progress loads. Take lots of snacks and eat in the uplift to maximise your ride time.

Thanks @wendysquire9414 I’m glad you liked the video. What an awesome Mother’s Day present!
One of the best vids I’ve seen about bike park Wales, especially for the blue and red trails!!! Well done!
Thanks Josh. I am going again in a few weeks time. Can’t wait 🥳
This was a great video! High quality, great info, really clear and concise.
If I hadn’t been there before this is exactly what I’d want to watch.
Thanks dude. I really enjoyed making this one and can’t wait to go back!
I definitely need to come here before the year is over!
Get yourself booked pal. Make the most of the good weather.
i cant stop watching so fun

Escort is hilarious! Love it.
Any tips as a red trail rider trying to develop to a black? Any trails I should target?
Your videos are so good. I love watching every new vid and I don't know how you don't get more credit for it! Keep up the good work.
Thank you for sharing. I will one day pluck up the courage to go to Bike Wales. looks awesome.
You should go. Plenty of trails at all sorts of difficulty levels. You will have a blast!
Thanks
I’m now on the m4 in a traffic jam and on my way to bike park Wales. That got me entertained

Merthyr Rocks is my favourite, definitely worth checking out if you like Rim Dinger. Can’t wait to get back!
Awsome production quality dude, fun to watch and great info to accompany!
Thanks Craig, glad you liked it. I am continually working to improve the production quality of my videos. The only way is up.

Wow it's been a while since I last watched your videos and I can tell video quality has gotten better and so has your riding, keep it up 🤘
I thought so too Antonio
Cheers Antonio. I am slowly getting better at the whole RUclips thing. Still got a lot to learn though.👍🏻
Great video. Well put together. My favourites have to be viscous valley. insufficient funds. And terrys belly.
Looks like you had an epic time

Mate that is savage. It’s definitely a trail where I wouldn’t want to fall.
Cool video, I've been subscribed for a while now and your videos are easy to watch. Would love to come here one day

Awesome, you will have a great day. I always take my full face and pads when I go. Just incase I get carried away on the trails 👍🏻
Good info
Thanks for this. Going for first time next week and this is really helpful. What happens once the car park is full?
There is some parking along the entrance and exit roads, so there should be plenty of space. Always a good idea to get there a bit early though 👍🏻
Am I the only rider in the UK that has not been to BPW yet???
Great video, really enjoyed it
I think you might be 😀. In the summer we should organise a UK RUclipsr Bike Park Wales trip. That would be a blast!
@@bikeandbeyond sign me up for that, I am in!
I haven't either. No car, and they don't let you take your bike on the bus, and I'm not riding there from Swansea. Clyne it is 😅
Meanwhile me hitting trails almost like rim dinger on a Halfords Mild Hardtail
i live like an hour away from this but havent gone yet

I use the hero8 for my videos. Works great. Most of the blues seem to be quite smooth, so you are probably ok on a hardtail.

Very Nice, how much does the ticket costes?
A day uplift pass is around £50 ish
Just wanted to know if protective gear and full face helmets are mandatory or not obviously I’ve got a helmet but just wanted to k it before I go

What are the best tech trails there like rocks and that ??

A 470 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
How long does the uplift take?
Think it is around 15 minutes
How much does it cost to go? Please
I think it’s the best part of £50 for a full days uplift. I would check the website though.

Don’t think they allow them unfortunately
Thanks for the video a good insight, I'm heading to BPW 1st sept for two days 😁✌️
Awesome. You will love it. I’ve got my next trip booked too.
I'll be there on the second. With my other half so it's Blues only, but that should work....
