That is so true. I keep seeing people in comment sections saying “It's ariel time” or something like that when it comes to bad movies. As long as bad movies are around, people will make references to the Morbius movie.
My top 10 10. Sonic 2 (It was so much fun and one of the best theater expierience of the year) 9. Nope (Well crafted horror film that shows jordan peele trying something new and it really worked for me) 8. Avatar 2: the Way of Water (Beautiful visuals, fantastic score and a very encaptivating story I am 100% down for more avatar movies) 7. The Black Phone (Great premise, thrilling from beginning to end and ethan hawke just stole the show) 6. Bullet Train (Best comedy of the year, the entire film was fricking hilarious I was dying and the cast of characters did a fantastic job) 5. The Banshees of Inisherin ( Beautiful film that really made me question things very emotional and dense really enjoyed it) 4. Everything Everywhere All at once (Best multiverse movie of the year surprising to say but it deserves every award thats coming to it. Amazing acting, characters, visuals, emotion, comedy this movie had it all at once) 3. Top Gun Maverick (Man I never thought we would get a movie like this in 2022 but I loved it everyone does a fanatastic job the soundtrack is one of the best I've heard in a while and the flying sequences were awesome.) 2. I didn't watch many movies this year but these are a few I loved: The Batman, Pinocchio, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, The Menu, Barbarian, Doctor Strange Into The Multiverse of Madness (it wasn't amazing but I love Sam Raimi). Guilty Pleasure: The Black Phone, Terrifier (still prefer the 1st one and kinda wanted either main characters to die), The Munsters.
Puss in Boots: The Last Wish is hands down one of the, if not the best movie I have seen this year! It is now definitely one of my all time favorite movies. In fact, I have already seen the movie twice in theaters and hell, I am even see it a third time. I recommend anyone/everyone to watch the movie.
Yes ! I loved Everything , Everywhere , all at once ! Hands down my favorite movie of the year ! The effects were amazing ! Great acting choices! An awesome ‘ villain’! All around a great time !
I actually love the indie-movie vibe of Morbius, but unfortunately not everyone got the memo. Also, you really have to be able to relate to Michael Morbius’ character to crack the code of the whole point of staying alive.
Damn... Texas Chainsaw Massacre came out THIS year??? Feels like it's been at least 2 years. This has been one of the longest, yet shortest years ever.
I remember back in February this year, I met Chris in Dallas when they brought the Batmobile to town and seeing him dressed up as Battinson and seeing his excitement just got me even more hyped for this film. The Batman will be known as the movie that was completely snubbed at the Academy Awards. It won’t be recognized by the “professionals” just how elegant this film was. Nevertheless, I’m glad there’s a community that feels exactly how I feel. What a year for movies!
I just thought of something... In X, didn't Jenna Ortega's character wear underwear that says the day of the week on them? Was she wearing Tuesday or Wednesday on them? Because if they said Wednesday, that was definitely a reference to her next big project that was probably already done shooting by the time this movie came out.
My top 10 favorite movies of 2022 were 10. Avatar The Way of Water (or The Fabelmans, still thinking on it) 9. Everything Everywhere All at Once 8. RRR 7. Guillermo Del Toro’s Pinocchio 6. Puss in Boots The Last Wish 5. Dragon Ball Super Superhero 4. Jujutsu Kaisen 0 3. The Batman 2. One Piece Film Red 1. Top Gun Maverick Honorable mentions: Glass Onion, Banshees of Inisherin, The Northman, Belle My bottom 10 worst I saw this year were imo 10. Thor Love and Thunder 9. The Woman King 8. Diary of Wimpy Kid Roderick Rules 7. Samaritan 6. Halloween Ends 5. Morbius 4. Disney’s Pinocchio (the live action) 3. Paws of Fury 2. Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild 1. Senior Year Dishonorable mentions: Strange World, Secrets of Dumbledore, Jurassic World Dominion, Lightyear, Beast Most disappointing: Wakanda Forever (I gave it a 6/10 when everyone and their mother told me I would easily give it a 9/10 because I liked No Way Home and Shang Chi), Lightyear, Disenchanted, Turning Red (clearly I wasn’t a fan of Disney this year), Jurassic World Dominion, Halloween Ends Most surprising: Top Gun Maverick (I wasn’t expecting it to be now in my top 20 favorite movies of all time), Puss in Boots The Last Wish, The Bad Guys, Minions The Rise of Gru, Avatar The Way of Water (I didn’t expect to give it an 8/10 much less high up in my list of the year), One Piece Film Red (I knew I would love it but not to the point it’s in my top 20 favorite movies ever now) Reminder this list is completely subjective my opinion is not the be all end all. Merry Christmas y’all 🎄🎄🎄
I’ve been waiting a looong time for this. LET’S GOOO!! I genuinely got excited when the video dropped, Cris is my favorite youtuber. I look forward to each new upload and man if your reading this… I want to thank you and wish you a very merry christmas and a prosperous new year! See ya!!
I am a massive, like massive Avatar fan and I absolutely adore Way of Water. However, I have to see it a couple more times, I have only seen it once, to crown it best movie of the year, in my top 5 of all time yes but one thing holds it back. “NOPE”. When I say I am the biggest fan of this movie in the world I mean it. I have seen it 17 times no joke. I even wrote a script and am filming a 30-45 min short film set in the world of NOPE. Currently is is my fav film of the year but there’s my little fanboy rant on Nope lol.
Yeah, F in the chat for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Look people can either like it or hate it, but I felt like it got robbed for not being on the list. But other than that, solid list Cris!
I'd put MoM in guilty pleasure. I know it's not perfect, but I think I got lucky because I avoided thr trailer and most promotional stuff for it, so I didn't get super hyped. I enjoy it for what it is, and don't hate it for what people thought it was going to be
@@kimberleymonroe1157 yeah and that's fine. If you like it, hate it, meh it, that's cool. I just wished that it got at LEAST mentioned. Hell, I'd be fine if it was in the Honorable Mentions.
The Batman, Sonic The Hedgehog 2, Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness, Bullet Train and Avatar: The Way Of Water are the best movies I saw theatrically this year!
🥺🥺🥺 I’m so happy you mentioned EEAAO! I know you said you weren’t able to do a review on the movie but I would love to hear what that movie made you feel and meant for you!
Smile is my favorite horror movie of 2022. It’s one of actual few horror movies that gave me chills. The jump scares were perfect, the actors, the effects, just awesome. The story is one of the best I’ve ever seen, and so much more.
My ranking of 2022 films: 1. Top Gun: Maverick- 10/10 2. The Batman- 9.8/10 3. Jurrasic World: Dominion- 8.7/10 4. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever- 8.5/10 5. Minions: The Rise of Gru- 8.3/10 6. Lets also give credit to some great TV shows we got this year like Stranger Things 4, The Boys season 3, Better Call Saul finale, Peacemaker, House of the Dragon, and Andor
My Top 10: ( The Order Doesn't matter Cause these are the ones I really liked this year.) 1. The Black Phone 2.Top Gun Maverick 3.The Boys Season 3 (I Know its a TV show but I don't care it was really good) 4.The Batman 5.Bullet Train 6.Violent Night 7.X 8.Barbarian 9.Chip n Dale 10.Wakanda Forever (I still haven't seen Smile, Terrifer 2, Avatar 2, and Puss n boots so I can't put them on the list but I am soon :))
Black Panther Wakanda Forever was such a disservice to the memory of Chadwick Boseman that I have vowed to NEVER watch another MCU project in theaters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I honestly HATE that movie with my entire being!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great video chris! Been a solid year of films especially horror. My top films of the year would have to be 1. Halloween Ends 2. The Batman 3. Scream 4. Black Phone 5. Barbarian 6. Nope 7. X 8. Pearl 9. Deadstream 10. Terrifier2
I am really surprised jeepers creepers reborn didn't get put on the list. Since that one made you so angry Edit: thanks to the replies, I just barely noticed at the end it got its own list, that is exactly the place it should be at

Senior year (Netflix) 1. Jeeper creepers reborn
Awesome list, I'm an animation junkie so see that you actually put some animated films in the top 10 best, warm my grinchy heart a few degrees......For me this was the year of SKIP films, for the first time I can say I haven't see most MCU films, so I skip Wakanda Forever and I never plan of watching Waititis Bore and Thunder, but other than the MCU lacking.....this was a nice year for films, specially if you add direct to Streaming. To me I have a good fun year...most of my favorites films are animated so will be different to yours in many way. Also I will expand to 15 because there are films I realize I need to put them in. 15-Doctor Strange and The Multiverse of Madness: I will say Guilty pleasure, I have fun with this despite all it's problems. 14-Drifting Home: I love my anime films and is sad many not watched this film probably, I think was a very compelling and heart warming story for both adults and kids. 13- Entergalactic: Its Spiderverse.....in the hood....with sex and mature themes and a slice of life story, loved this film even if is not in my top 10. 12- Dragon Ball Super Super Hero: This movie make my boy Piccolo a main characters, I not need anything else to make this into a list of best of the year, but was very fun. 11- Bubble: Anime meet the Little Mermaid and Parkour, I not make that up, love this film, deserve to be watch. 10- Sonic the Hedgehog 2: Man Videogames adaptations have come a long way, and if this is a taste of what that Super Mario film could be like....bring it in and give me part 3. 9- The Bad Guys: This movie was a TON of fun, the animation was amazing and the characters so much fun, need to be on more top 10s. 8- Prey: Absolutely a return to form for a franchise I assume was DEAD after The Predator, so if this can work....I actually hope more dying franchises do the same, maybe Terminator still came make a comeback. 7- Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio: Not even a contest the best Pinocchio film this year, but one of the best animated films of this year, full of heart and emotion and the stop motion animation was incredible. 6- Turning Red: I almost forget this was from this year, I unapologetically love this film and is sad got a ton of hate for no reason, is defined the best DISNEY film this year no contest, Lightyear wish have this much love, creativity and gorgeous animation is the most unique looking Disney/Pixar film and deserve to be in more top 10s. 5- The Batman: Finally a Batman film that he gets to be a DETECTIVE, sign me in for this take and its sequels, Robert Pattinson is the best live action Batman now, but need to work on his Bruce Wayne a bit, the cinematography of this film is incredible, my boy Matt Reeves really knows how to make beautiful films. 4- Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles the Movie: This is my favorite direct to stream film of this year and one of the best animated films this year and one of the BEST TMNT FILMS EVER MADE yes, I'm dead serious about this, I not care if is a film based on a TV show, still is amazing, the animation, the characters, the story, all amazingly done, if you haven´t give this a chance yet, and you are a TMNT fan, your loss. 3- Top Gun Maverick: This have doesn't have the rights to be THIS DAMN AWESOME, how in hell, Tom Cruise manage to make this film be this amazing and capture so many hearts to become the highest grossing film of 2022 is beyond my knowledge, but it did and this film is amazing, the cinematography, the flight scenes, the characters, the Story, seriously this didn't need to go this hard, but it did and for that have to be this high in my list. 2- Avatar the Way of Water: Never BET against James Mother F&%& Cameron, this movie simple ROCKS, is leaps better than Avatar 1, in every possible way, I love this film hard, I already loved the first but even I was........maybe the sequel will not be as good, watching modern CGI films make me doubt James could push again the boundries of VFX..............why I say that? why I bet against this man? WHY? I still not sure if this was CG or if he actually kidnap a tribe of alien indigenous specie and force it to film and act in front of a camera. But it wasn't just the visuals, I hate some many people saying that the story was lacking, this was a great simple story, executed to PERFECTION, just like T2 expanded the world of Pandora and it's species, developed the characters of Jake, all his Kids, Neytiri and Miles Quaritch, and I hardly can't wait for part 3. 1- Puss in Boots the Last Wish: Yes I said I'm an animation guy, and despite Top Gun Maverick, The Batman and Avatar 2 blow my way......non of them did it as much as Puss in Boots 2 blow me away........the Animation, the story, the characters, the JOKES, the dark humor, this film didn't absolutely go this hard, but it did, this one slaps HARD in all the good ways, This was a sequel of an spinoff no one ASK, and yet here we are, this blow me away, the story of Puss, how much this push him forward and how human the story was, and not afraid to go dark, again this is a Puss in Boots film an Spin Off of Shrek....this didn't need to go this hard and they did it anyway, I love this film and if this film BOMBS because Dreamworks have the brilliant idea of release it a week after Avatar 2...........someone in Dreamworks need to get FIRED.
For sure here’s my best list 5. Smile (first time in years I’ve ever been scared by a horror movie) 4. Nope (this movie was both funny and pretty traumatic and made me think about stuff) 3. The black phone (my favorite horror movie of the year, it was so good I loved it and deserved to be an icon) 2. Top Gun Maverick (one of the most beautiful movies ever) 1. The Batman (obviously the best Batman movie of all of them, best Batman of all and is a masterpiece)
These videos remind me why I am here only for the news. When I first found you a couple years back you and I were on the same page. Other than a couple guilty pleasures we did not agree on anything. Keep up the awesome news! I still love ya and everyone is allowed their own opinion. You still make amazing content.
I'm always shocked that no matter how many movies I've seen, most of these year end lists always put movies I've never heard of in their top 10. It's nice that whether I agree or not to find a ranking of movies I've seen. That said, surprised to see you rank so many animated films in your top 10 when so many good horror films came out this year. The Menu easily makes my top 5. Didn't care for Bodies Bodies Bodies. I would've forgiven the lame characters had the whodunit been better executed. The ending wasn't surprising in the least. It was the outcome I was hoping for, but still disappointing as I would have rather seen the story go in that direction from the start.
I’ve been watching Chris since 3.6 k, it’s crazy seeing how much he has grown and he is now half way to a million and the time has jus flown by, keep going Chris u are doing amazing and one of my favorite RUclipsrs of all time

My Top 3 Movies of the Year: 3. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (not perfect, but I LOVE Marvel and how they were able to honor Chadwick Boseman and give him such a heartfelt send off) 2. Avatar: The Way of Water (LOVED the original and will never forget seeing it with my parents back in 2009 at 12 years old. Saw the sequel with my girlfriend 13 years later at 25 and it was AMAZING. The VFX were EVEN BETTER and I liked the new story and characters). 1. Top Gun: Maverick (I thought the original was just ok, and I didn’t know what to expect from this one. But, my God, IT WAS AWESOME. The practical effects and cinematography and action was SPECTACULAR. And I LOVED the characters, story, conflicts, and motivations. It was such a great theater experience and seeing the action on a big screen was unforgettable. This is easily one of the most rewatchable movies of 2022).
Idk why but I laughed so hard when you mentioned the most disappointing movies of this year its just the way you were expressing yourself explaining the reasons why you put them movies as the most disappointing ones for example Morbius Halloween Ends Thor Love an Thunder Jurassic world Dominion…
@@ipman127 he says just about word for word whatever the top review of movies are. What he said about black panther 2 is pretty much word for word the same as the top review with him just saying the points in a different order. You can pretty much tell what he’s gonna say about something before he even says it
can we take a moment to appreciate what chris does? chris, all year long you’ve been someone i can relate to because of how you embrace being a movie nerd - someone who loves the escape a movie provides and loves admiring the art that comes from another person’s creative mind. it’s made me realize that there are so many people like me, and that i shouldn’t give up on my creative pursuits, because there’s always someone like chris who will understand it. thank you chris!
The Batman changed my opinion of dc movies, I used to just straight up not watch dc movies because it seemed like there was now hope left for them to make a good dc film, but aqua man and the joker made me somewhat change my mind and now the Batman fully changed my mind and now I am fully on board
I loved your ranting into this video. And yeah I can DEFINITELY agree on most disappointing. Also little note ever since you last best and worst movies of the year I have been counting down the DAYS till this video. Worth it
Although Jurassic World Dominion could’ve been a lot more better without the bug plot like you said, I personally thought that it was really good and amazing fun movie, and because I’m a big fan of the Jurassic franchise, so Jurassic World Dominion is my number one movie of 2022, mainly the extended version.
Honestly Elvis was my favorite movie this year, that and The Batman. I highly recommend this movie, you don't even have to be a fan of Elvis Presley's music to enjoy this movie. It was an emotional rollercoaster capturing every element of what true music is to a broken man who is good at heart but lives in a world with so much bad. A boy who has big dreams but no time to accomplish them. It is funny, sad, exciting, and joyful all at once. The acting was too notch, the music was unbeatable, and it summarizes the entire story of Elvis' life with the best ending montage possible. Although the movie didn't make any list in this video, and although you have no idea who I am and are in no way obligated to go watch this movie just because I recommend it, please by all means go watch this movie, and if you have them please respond to this comment because it would mean a lot. Thanks.
I saw it last Friday with my boyfriend who owned the movie and loved it! I only know some things about Elvis and his music too. My boyfriend, Ryan, is hugely obsessed with it and wants to see more people loving it as well. It’s number 6 on my list, in fact.😉
Merry Christmas My Movie Peeps!!

Honorable mentions: Glass Onion, Banshees of Inisherin, The Northman, Belle
My bottom 10 worst I saw this year were imo
10. Thor Love and Thunder
9. The Woman King
8. Diary of Wimpy Kid Roderick Rules
7. Samaritan
6. Halloween Ends
5. Morbius
4. Disney’s Pinocchio (the live action)
3. Paws of Fury
2. Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild
1. Senior Year
Dishonorable mentions: Strange World, Secrets of Dumbledore, Jurassic World Dominion, Lightyear, Beast
Most disappointing: Wakanda Forever (I gave it a 6/10 when everyone and their mother told me I would easily give it a 9/10 because I liked No Way Home and Shang Chi), Lightyear, Disenchanted, Turning Red (clearly I wasn’t a fan of Disney this year), Jurassic World Dominion, Halloween Ends
Most surprising: Top Gun Maverick (I wasn’t expecting it to be now in my top 20 favorite movies of all time), Puss in Boots The Last Wish, The Bad Guys, Minions The Rise of Gru, Avatar The Way of Water (I didn’t expect to give it an 8/10 much less high up in my list of the year), One Piece Film Red (I knew I would love it but not to the point it’s in my top 20 favorite movies ever now)
Reminder this list is completely subjective my opinion is not the be all end all. Merry Christmas y’all 🎄🎄🎄
You def hate anime
@@EckerKyle lol 😅
Dude RRR was so good, if the movie was made in Hollywood, it truly deserves an Oscar

I’ve been waiting a looong time for this. LET’S GOOO!!
I genuinely got excited when the video dropped, Cris is my favorite youtuber. I look forward to each new upload and man if your reading this… I want to thank you and wish you a very merry christmas and a prosperous new year! See ya!!
3C doesn’t bash, but simply delivers. Class act.
Chris, I respect your lists because I agree with you on the disappointing movies. I was so sad about Jurassic world and Morpheus.
I was waiting for this video to come out!
Excellent video! Looking forward to another year of great movies, especially the horror!
deadass the video i been waiting for this whole year, truly made my christmas❤️💯
That intro ! My mane, it’s merry morbin’ time ! 😂
Happy holidays to you 🎉
Yeah, F in the chat for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Some great picks. Got to say, The Batman was the best of 2022. Missed a good blockbuster over last few years. Great job. Love your vids.

Sonic 2 was so much fun it was a great experience with the audience too as a video game adaptation it’s one of the best
Smile is my favorite horror movie of 2022. It’s one of actual few horror movies that gave me chills. The jump scares were perfect, the actors, the effects, just awesome. The story is one of the best I’ve ever seen, and so much more.

Merry Christmas Chris! Great Video!
For sure here’s my best list
5. Smile (first time in years I’ve ever been scared by a horror movie)
4. Nope (this movie was both funny and pretty traumatic and made me think about stuff)
3. The black phone (my favorite horror movie of the year, it was so good I loved it and deserved to be an icon)
2. Top Gun Maverick (one of the most beautiful movies ever)
1. The Batman (obviously the best Batman movie of all of them, best Batman of all and is a masterpiece)
My Christmas is so much better when watching a 3C Films video.. 🎄
Morbius is probably one of the most important movies in cinema history 👏
Facts
These videos remind me why I am here only for the news. When I first found you a couple years back you and I were on the same page. Other than a couple guilty pleasures we did not agree on anything. Keep up the awesome news! I still love ya and everyone is allowed their own opinion. You still make amazing content.
DC League of Super Pets is one of my favorite animated superhero movie of 2022.
Awesome ranking!
Nice! I really enjoyed this!! Can’t wait for more 3C in 2023

Number 1 Comic Book Movie: The Batman!
Facts fr 👍
My Top 3 Movies of the Year:
3. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (not perfect, but I LOVE Marvel and how they were able to honor Chadwick Boseman and give him such a heartfelt send off)

3:06 Tangerine and Lemon should have been the stars of the film.

I love scream 2022
I loved your ranting into this video. And yeah I can DEFINITELY agree on most disappointing. Also little note ever since you last best and worst movies of the year I have been counting down the DAYS till this video. Worth it
Although Jurassic World Dominion could’ve been a lot more better without the bug plot like you said, I personally thought that it was really good and amazing fun movie, and because I’m a big fan of the Jurassic franchise, so Jurassic World Dominion is my number one movie of 2022, mainly the extended version.
Merry Christmas ⛄🎄🎅 Chris from 3c films
