Weeel, see, it's called "Marketing" is whut it is. Ye make the brainless target LOOK at ye product. If'n they woulda showed salad, fries, ketchup, dranks, and other distracting thangs, they knowed ye wouldn't buy as much of the product. That's whut it wuz.

I never liked A-1 steak sauce.
A1 steak sauce is okay, but I prefer Heinz steak sauce it's much better.
Look at how awful that steak is. No marbling, looks like just a hunk of beef. That's apparently how steaks were back in the old days, thus needing some kind of sauce to help it go down.
