As stunning as this is, I can’t help thinking, for £2.5m you’d be able to get something equally amazing, without having to access through a caravan park or be counting the days til my house started disappearing over the cliff. Perhaps not quite as amazing as they’d have you believe.
It's stood there for over 80 years as a bunker so I'd imagine it will be ok. You're buying the property for the views although I'd imagine this is a holiday home for the super rich so if it does fall into the sea they'll always have another property to go to!
It has a private gated entrance with at least one car enclosed parking and it'd appear several exterior spots accessible from Undercliffe road. That's where the mailbox is located also. From there the lift takes you up to the gallery which was shown in the video. I suppose if you want to access the cottage rental grounds you could but that doesn't make as much sense.

The best walk through of this property by far and helpfully they explained those small window cut outs in the hall and bar area. The utility and lower floor badly thought however.
This crossed my mind. Erosion is probably one of the reasons why few homes are built on the cliffs of Kent. Will this house be standing in 10-15 years and easy to sell? I don't think so.

I've entered this draw but a little disappointed the video didn't show more of the house. I'd have liked to have seen how you enter the property and get to the lift as well as the inside of the garage so that I get an idea of the space, plus is there a way up to the property without having to use the lift? I also don't know why the designers decided to show a large bedroom as a study area rather than a bedroom and also not show the study (used as a store room in the video, so not showing it off as a study). Why hasn't the back of the property been shown, I feel that it's been avoided here and by omaze for a reason they don't want us to know about. I know property backs on to a holiday village. I also see that the cinema room has also been omitted too. It appears to me a few areas to hide, and troubles me that there may be underlying issues that they don't want to advertise in case it detracts from the property draw. I've done a bit of research and seen that the value of the property has dropped over the years.

I wondered what the area to the left as you view the property from the front was, now I know, don't feel it's as private now as seemingly advertised. I'm also interested as to whether you can access via the holiday park at back of the property and if there is an alternative stairway rather than having to use the lift.
I agree, to be honest the price for the property on face value seems pretty low to me considering its views, outside space and level of finish. I imagine there are access and overlooking issues. One issue I have with properties is internal steps, there are many of these throughout and some of the spaces are compromised. I really love the layout of the kitchen space and the circulation around that area. To me its as good as I have seen and the perfect size. The master ensuite has a slight illogical layout in my opinion losing the area behind the bed as a stepped walk way, I would also expect a bigger walk in wardrobe for that level of property. I think your comments are correct, there are definitely elements being hidden in their appraisal.
An old Rightmove listing mentioned there's pedestrian access via a back gate, through the chalet park. The "cinema room" in photos in the old listings is (I'm guessing!) what's now the lower ground bedroom. The Omaze photos/tours are usually very good (the 2022 Cotswolds house had full 360 virtual tour on Google photos iirc?). This house seems only partially filmed. Rooms and grounds not even shown. Photos/descriptions that don't tally with names on the floorplan. Edit... Floorplans in the On The Market listing had a cinema room on the lower ground floor, down a loooooong corridor that continues beyond the bedroom/bathroom corridor. So loooong it seems to be under the chalets next door! The door to the corridor is straight ahead at 12:45

I've already entered as I've done for all the previous competitions .Always seems to be won by someone who lives in a huge house to start with last two winners I'd of been made up to win there own houses (envy much) Grr. But I could see myself in this, don't think id ever leave, might just go for a stroll down the beach . But like Matt said does look like something off James Bond . Just missing a cat and laser ;p

Seems to be quite a lot missing from when it was previously up for sale and featured in the Daily Mail, also I'm sure the holiday park behind isn't a major issue but it should be mentioned in a proper tour.
Hi Jonny, the Kent House backs onto the far corner of Kingsdown Holiday Park, where you will find a group of charming holiday chalets and facilities, such as a swimming pool, tennis court and miniature golf. We’ve found the holiday park to be quiet and relaxing, and as all the terraces and windows of the house point towards the sea, we don’t anticipate that it will cause disruption to the winner’s enjoyment of the property.

get saving another 2.49 million then and you can have one like it. dont tell me youre already a millionaire, i personally know multi millionaires and they dont come on here commenting things like that. and if you had 2.5 mil, you wouldnt buy it. we all want things til we can afford them and then realise its not worth it. a surveyor would tell you its a land slide waiting to happen (you have good surveyors when youre wealthy), and theyd tell you to avoid it. thats why its in a raffle. makes sense doesnt it. they couldnt sell the house for anything near the "valuation". good luck saving up and for the future though. all the best, good day.
This is called the old gunnery it went on the market with 6 acres of land which now are not included where has this gone , maybe future development around it, if you notice the holiday park literally touches the back wall of this property a few of the log cabins look into it it was in the market for 6 million, it had a lot of issues over planning and took years to get , again what has happened to the land which included the beach and the other 4500 square foot the daily mail claimed it had and the cinema room in the cliff ????
Would love Omaze to do a lovely country house in the New Forest Hampshire, with land for horses or donkeys. Having a family with Autism and elderly parents with memory issues this property on the edge of a cliff just would not be suitable. Also our beloved cat wouldn’t want her falling off the edge of the cliff. Nor would we want a house abroad, cannot leave family alone while we jump on a plane to sort overseas property out. Beautiful houses in the forest for families, many below £3M suitable for these draws. Cotswolds and West Country equally beautiful. Great video but the house isn’t for the majority and therefore would have the for sale sign up straightaway.
This has been my dream home and I have seen this on James Edition website. Its price was shown as P.O.R so i always imagine around 4mil for it. Not that I can afford although it's 2.5mil and hence "Dream" home. Hopefully I have very good luck and have a winning chance at it.

It was on the market for 6 million, it had a cinema room and 6 acres of its own beach which seem to not be included, the house was with the daily mail showing 9000 feet but now shows 4500 where has the land and the rest of the property gone,

Thank you for showing us this very beautifully put together house. I have to be honest and suggest you really begin to understand property more and some of the elements you highlight seem to be not relevant. Spend time learning more about finish, reasons behind spaces, why the layouts have been formed. A lot of these videos seem to discuss products included more than the space. This property has been laid out on the basis of an existing structure so it would have been better to explain this in the presentation in more detail. Also, can you put up a plan and actually allow us to be able to understand how all the rooms work together. I think a success is how you circulate through the building but show us access in more detail. Certain parts of the building were not shown. There are examples of these videos in America where the presenters have a better knowledge and they are a lot more polished. I respect you are young and learning but try and focus on key elements of the building and architecture not off the shelf products that can be changed easily.
Winning a house like this is a middle class dream, they could afford the expenses until it sold. To the working Class though it would be a giant burden.. It will take years to sell. 50k not enouth to get them started.

That supporting column by the kitchen island is an eyesore; it ends up in an awkward spot over the ceiling light. But the house in general is lovely

The house is built around a pill box from WW2 so parts of the building have been there since the 1940’s, so it must be pretty stable.

It was on the market for 6 million, it had a cinema room and 6 acres of its own beach which seem to not be included, the house was with the daily mail showing 9000 feet but now shows 4500 where has the land and the rest of the property gone,

I have to be honest and suggest you really begin to understand property more and some of the elements you highlight seem to be not relevant. Spend time learning more about finish, reasons behind spaces, why the layouts have been formed. A lot of these videos seem to discuss products included more than the space. This property has been laid out on the basis of an existing structure so it would have been better to explain this in the presentation in more detail. Also, can you put up a plan and actually allow us to be able to understand how all the rooms work together. I think a success is how you circulate through the building but show us access in more detail. Certain parts of the building were not shown. There are examples of these videos in America where the presenters have a better knowledge and they are a lot more polished. I respect you are young and learning but try and focus on key elements of the building and architecture not off the shelf products that can be changed easily.
Winning a house like this is a middle class dream, they could afford the expenses until it sold. To the working Class though it would be a giant burden.. It will take years to sell. 50k not enouth to get them started.

I doubt very much that your team would have taken into account weather pattern changes. I think anyone living in this house should be concerned every time there is a strong storm.

Took several years and legal battles to get permission, the American owners went to the government to fight the original refusal to build here
