This is just fucking ridiculous. This is exactly why the 2nd amendment and being able to carry a gun for self defense is so important. I would advise anybody living somewhere that doesn't allow you to carry a gun legally to just carry one anyway.

@@MiMiiViVi unfortunately it’s not that simple. Finally found a great public school that fits my kid. ( he was kicked out by private daycare when he was 4. Public schools can not kick any student out. Otherwise we would have left a while ago. Fortunately, I live in SF, which is a bit better than Oakland in terms of safety. Although have witnessed crazy robbery/ car break ins in broad daylight several times.

I live in the Bay Area and was actually cited recently for having too dark of a tint. California needs to legalize a dark tint. Currently, the law requires visibility into the front of the car.

When I was young walking to work taking the bus living in a seedy hotel, I wasn’t breaking into cars. Stealing people’s things, I was working my ass off trying to get by. Then in my later years I got a job scrubbing toilets and cleaning up vomit. I was glad and proud to have that job. Now I have a pension and social security. And I’ve had a good life because I worked hard. I didn’t have to steal from honest hard working people. If you can’t get by maybe you need to try harder and get off welfare.

You know you are a horrible city when you drive out an NFL, NBA, and MLB team along with many other businesses.
They said drive to a safe place and call 911 (if you think you are being followed). The problem with that foolish suggestion is as soon as you pull over to a "safe place" to call 911 they will rob you (if you are being followed). So the better suggestion is to call 911 while still driving (unfortunately). Just be careful.

OPD is lazy. That's all there to it. They don't even bother patrolling downtown where this is going on. My mom had this happen to her last week right in front of the lake in the middle of the day! OPD will likely never find theses guys too.
