Reminds me of the time a school I went to had lockdown drills in case of a school shooting. They happened a couple times in my senior year and got weirdly intense sometimes. I vividly remember when one of them went off and my teacher was explicitly told by staff over text that it wasn't a drill. So, a few minutes after the alarms went quiet, and I was thinking someone was gonna come in and kill us all, it went all-clear and I had to ask other faculty members what happened and they just said it was a drill. So either the whole thing was a massive social experiment, or auto-correct just made a fatal mistake. Weirdest part was that we were British. We hadn't had a school shooting anywhere in the country for over 20 years. Nobody in the school took them seriously and felt the school was creating anxiety for a problem that didn't even exist.
@TheAcdcrulez2134 Probably a fair few in the poor areas. The main difference between the US and UK is that when a psycho over here decides to kill someone they don't manage to get very many. If you've got an AR you can mow down a crowd, if you've got a knife you have to be a bit more subtle because a couple of guys with fire extinguishers could bash your head in. We did have an incident not too long ago where some maniac stabbed a few little girls, but that wasn't in a school.

One time when I was eight, my cub scout troop was cleaning up litter on school property. I went into the woods behind the school, reached to pick up a piece of plastic, but found that it was actually a mostly-buried bag which I pulled out like a turnip. Inside that bag was a gun. To this day, I wonder if I stopped a school shooting by finding it.

There are no shooter drills outside united states btw. Especially in east asia, gun violence sounds like something that only happens in movies. Unreal that those things actually happen in usa
As ideal as that would be, knowing schoolkids, they'd constantly keep calling in threats just to get days off. Not defending them but it's a common thing
@@MaxC_1 but they've cancelled the lessons anyway. If kids are willing to risk criminal charges for false threat just to go home early, doing so to watch a movie instead of the usual classes is not a big stretch.
