If they wanted to make this building a good looking building, they should have made it at least 6 to 12 stories taller at the top section (a more natural aesthetic roof height/ pinnacle height). If this is a return to art deco, it's certainly not good Art Deco! It's just really BIG! The base is interesting but does it really work with the tower? I say no. The tower looks fat better from the wider side than the narrower. It's the symmetry at the top that kills it.
Fast forward 20 years when they will suddenly discover that occupying expensive downtown offices is no longer economically "sustainable" because everybody is working from home or from satellite offices.

Building this thing with a 40% glut of empty office space, post COVID, in NY is mind-boggling. Companies will flock to this as it is the newest and best, but this thing won't fill to their expectations.
I worked in the old Manufacturers Hanover building in the 1980s. It was classic Mid-century Modern. This new building is too large for Park Avenue. And architect Norman Foster is not so great. There is another Foster building going up at 425 Park Avenue. Also not so great.
