The Pao could easily be sold today as an electric or with an economic petrol engine and not a lot would have to be changed. truly a car way ahead of its time.
11:33 - Wow, my Gran Turismo 6 screenshot of my custom Nissan Pao on Tokyo Route 246 was used on this video talking about this unique little hatchback. Never expected that anything from my old and inactive DeviantArt page (let alone one from a video game) would be utilized in any video about cars. It is perfectly fine that it was used for your video, as I am not one to strike down people who are using my content for anything.
Yamaha's musical-instrument company is completely separate from Yamaha motorcycle manufacturing company, but because Toyota own a part of the latter, Yamaha has a part to play in Toyota's high-performance engine designs. Yamaha has in the past collaborated with most other Japanese brands at some time or other!
Saw a PAO in a small town in Massachusetts 2 weeks ago while riding my ebike. "What the HELL was THAT!?!" Must be French. PAO. Brazillian? "Nissan". I remember the Figaro (with a Mass plate in this video) and the SCargo, but never heard of the PAO.
The Figaro has always been way cuter than the Pao! The Escargo is literally named and styled after a snail. Tragically, videos like these make it even more impossible for people like me (who aren't rich or even in the middle class), to buy these. Damn "car collectors" and b!tch ass "flippers" screw over people like me, who just want a cute car to drive everyday.
The Nissan Pao really makes me think of the Lada Niva. Both are really practical cheap and charming. I'd love to own one. I'd resto-mod the fuck out of that little car. The nostalgic vibe make it cute.
Also, the whole "enthusiasts drive manuals" is such a tired lie. "A more engaging driving experience" is also a tired ass, played out line of bullshit! I challenge 99.9% of people who drive to put their damn phone down and get engaged in driving to begin with. Let alone more engagement.

The PAO still looks futuristic. Even more beautiful and balanced when seen in-person. Incredible design.

Thank you! My editor used this picture. I Didn't even realize this was a GT6 Screenshot! 😅
Good on you for not being a dick:)

I'm wondering if the Pao isn't what turned into the Juke

Toyota Classic - as ugly as a shit sandwich. Just rubbish
The Toyoda AA was clearly a copy of an Austin pre-war sedan & the Classic looks worse than most of Chrysler's retro attempts! 🤮🤮🤮
