To be honest, I almost didn't watch your video because I've seen other demonstrators online show the new trimmer. I'm glad I watched anyway...you gave us a lot of great tips for using the trimmer that I didn't see in the other videos. I didn't have the old trimmer but the side-by-side comparison helped me see how fabulous the new one really is. Thanks!
Dawn...thank you for the explanation of the new trimmer...was hesitant of buying...but after watching and listening to your video...I will now buy one...thank you for sharing...cheers from Australia :)
Hi Dawn, Thank you so much for a very interesting and very helpful crafty tutorial I found that you explained everything about the trimmer so well thank you ......Have a nice week Lin in South Wales uk x
I received my trimmer and love it. I will share a tip....if the millimeter measurements bother you, you can cover them up with washi tape. I didn't think they would but they do so I'm going to do that.
I was on the verge of ordering the new trimmer but have noticed negative comments being made about some of the changes, which when highlighted I can see would bug me too. I liked the old trimmer and apart from the blade problem and the missing measurements when extending the ruler arm it suited me fine. I liked the locking bar and the storage underneath. The new blade and scorer look very good but the longer ruler arm when extended will take up more room on my already small workspace and leaves a blank area without measuring guide lines on the trimmer itself. 🇬🇧
You don't have to purchase the new trimmer, I'm just highlighting the difference between the new vs the retired trimmer Of course you have to make that choice on what trimmer works best for you . Hugs Dawn
Hi Dawn. after watching your video, I ordered a trimmer and it came in yesterday. Now I have a question. Hope that I can ask my question where it will make sense. I used a different brand before now. That brand has a "wire" to help with the alignment of the cut. For instance, the outside of a square would be lined up with the wire to cut along the edge of the square. Of course the Stampin Up trimmer does not. My question, how do I align my cut on the Stampin Up trimmer? For some reason I just can't figure it out.

What about buying extra blades and scoring blades? I didn’t see where they were available
So how long will the blade last?? It's a lot cheaper than the other one too. Thanks for the review
I've only had mine since Oct 1st and the blade is still cutting fabulous and I do a lot of cutting .

Dawn's Stamping Thoughts thank you
Very helpful
For those that have the old trimmer does this mean we won't be able to get the blades anymore?
Yes the blades were sold out as of this past September . remember the blades were why the trimmer retired :(
Thanks for the thoughts on the new trimmer. What are you going to do with the old trimmer?
I have no use for the old trimmer since I don't have blades , so it's gone .
Hugs
Dawn
I’d like see paper being trim compare them using paper.
