I agree. It’s so hard listening to Monster by itself because I always expect the chorus from Infinity and when it doesn’t happen I get confused. 😂

Along with what Sam said around 16:00, I also think this song is the best combination of the three groups’ concepts so far. It sounds experimental like both NCT and SHINee and sounds cosmic like EXO. This song is an excellent combination of their personalities and their concepts. Also what’s the point of this song isn’t in a soundtrack for an upcoming Avengers movie 🎥

@@ulismeilina going into the stand alone monster chorus is what would make the most sense based on the progression of the pre-chorus (which is pulled from that track) so they were expecting something aligned more with that sound, BUT they weren't aware before listening that it's a combo of two songs, so it going into the chorus of infinity (a vastly different track) instead was not at all what they were prepared for so they were shocked😂

I was hoping you’d show them both Monster and Infinity separately so they could hear the difference but I loved this reaction and seeing what everyone did when the chorus hit, it was hilarious to see 😂 (also Ju Young’s reactions were killing me)
I thought about it! However, unlike when Sean and I (Umu) film, each react pair has a very limited film time. Sean and I were able to react to the two songs separately, re-listen many times, and then dissect how One was created since we film at our own apartments. I knew going into the full crew reaction that the project would be on the complex side to handle, so I just chose to show them 'One' ! Glad you had fun watching their reactions to the chorus :)

Just would have been fun to see the reactions to how the different parts work together, I particularly love how they used Taemin’s line from the bridge of Monster but re-recorded it for One, glad to finally see the reactions though now it got unblocked 💜

SM loves to experiment with their songs and concepts and sometimes makes too risky moves . one thing i have noticed in their songs is that their boy groups title tracks [all of them ] have hard-hitting bass and beat to it .with groups like shinee, exo and superM they have more vocal driven songs . NCT have more rap -driven songs .
i love monster more than infinity since monster is more catchy and has more bass . and infinity has more power in the chorus and
their hybrid takes the best parts of both songs and makes it a little too much for a regular listener . that's why i find monster better .
but both are good .

They did this with Shinee back in 2012 too, Clue+Note made Sherlock. Look it up, it's fun
The Super One album is one of the best and most consistently enjoyable K-Pop albums, period. It's just filled with great tracks while also appealing to longtime K-Pop fans, new listeners, and Western audiences. Super M and SM really knocked it out of the park with this one.
The edit with *Ju Young* and just the video overall is hilarious 😂🤣💀, I laughed so hard. The guy that pointed out *Ten's* body roll was and is still me whenever I watch *"Monster/ Infinity"*

IMO, this song bring back shinee - sherlock concept is briliant. They are combined clue + note = sherlock. And it work. SM have a lot of music experience for this avenger group from each original group.

When I saw their reaction for the chorus part. I was SUPER CONFUSED as to why they were so shocked and thought wait, was there something weird about this song that I didn't know? I thought they were just shocked at the epicness of the chorus but then they explained the difference between the theme of the verse and the chorus which NOW MADE SENSE because these was a combination of two songs.
