I rap, but for those who know, I also love to sing, especially while I’m driving. For this #揸車唱K #reel, we have another timeless classic, released in 1980. This one is very near and dear to me because my parents have been big fans of his even before he made waves in the industry and became a household name all across Asia.
They had all his albums, often on repeat, my brother and I would try to sing along to his upbeat fun songs (阿里巴巴!), we were just toddlers 😆 And as we got older, we started to understand and appreciate the deeper meaning behind all his songs-besides romance, love, and struggles, they were often uplifting and powerful. And there were even songs with raps too!
Also, my first concert experience was going to his!
Needless to say, it’s an honor to sing this timeless classic that needs no introduction to Canto-pop fans…respectfully, now that I rap, I want to pay homage and show love the best way I can, which is of course by writing a verse📝

歌詞是鄭國江根據林子祥的經歷量身打造的。這首歌本是林子祥創作，用來“追女仔”的，已有的英文歌詞，當中有一句大意是希望駕飛機怎樣怎樣的，但在20世紀70年代飛機已不稀奇，鄭國江覺得不如“火箭”，於是就把第一句就改成了“願我會揸火箭，帶你到天空去”。“共你相相對，好得戚好得意”這句中的“好得戚” 就是林子祥的口頭禪。
