He is a great D Coordinator, and I believe ( as his record indicates) that Brady was his on-the-field coach. Being under .500 without Brady is a telling statistic. Not why he cut him, but how he did it..Bernie was beat up and not able to take any more pounding, so you release the guy mid-week and while in first place? Never been done before or since. He cut any player who was perceived as a threat to his authority as coach. He can't bitch about an owner doing the exact same thing.
