  • PrimeWeld really outdid their selves with this affordable unit. They don’t even advertise their capabilities with high cellulose rods. After a couple practice runs, I decided to make a weld for a steam line going on the field. There will be a couple more reviews testing it’s capabilities on Stainless and Aluminum. Can’t wait to try it with D/C TIG and A/C to weld aluminum. Definitely recommend getting one of these machines. Support American Companies. 🦾

    That machine can’t run 6010 only 6011 i learned that the hard way always cutting in and out, great tig machine but on those inverter style welders it will say that it can run 6010 if not then it’ll always cut in and out

      It’s the duty cycle. The machine is able to run it. I just pressurized the line with 300lb steam. Those are strong allegations.

      Hey brother, coming back to this comment to apologize and agree with you that on structural, the machine will not be able to weld 6010. I’m going to pin your comment because I don’t want to mislead people. Thanks for watching.

      I’m glad I found this comment. I’ve never stick welded before so i thought it was an error on my part. Thank you sir

    I think we can all agree if our friend can make and produce stick welds like he can we all can and am so happy we are shareing our views and information on what can and can't be done with what I think is an incrediable welding machine and a company who actually cares enough to listen and change things as we share them with them way to go thanks to all of you.

    Your a incrediable welder and your videos are top notch we all need each other to share and learn from, welders are in a class of our owne the art of the trade can be pretty unforgiveing at times frustrateing the heck out of us, but when we have guys and girls produce videos and share there views and experiences wiith the intent to help anyone who may see these videos makes me very proud to be in this field even though things can be pretty harsh for us welders, kuto's to all who share for the better enjoy.

    Thank you so much for this video. I love the honesty, good and not so good. At work we are looking to repair or replace our 80's era Syncrowave 500. I was wondering how the Primeweld models were doing with 6010, so this helps me a lot. Looking for something that runs on 480 volts though. I'm hearing a lot of good about Primeweld.

      This prime Weld is an excellent machine. Will struggle with 6010’s however on the fillers. Idk why it worked really good on roots and when I moved to hot pass, it would sputter. Definitely a good machine however. Specially since it’s AC/DC. Really just use it for aluminum as I have a max star 210. Which is my favorite stick and Tig welding machine so far.

    I've ran 6010 on my 225x no long arcing but it'll run it no problem. Looking at the schematics to see about turning up the OCV a little 15 volts more to run long arc 6010.

      Unfortunately you’d need 6011 on this machine bro.

    My deko pro welds the same way on 6010 maybe a bit worse but with the 7018 kicks ass. The harbor freight titanium will do way better for about 300 bucs

      300 bucks for an a/c D/c welder? That’s hella cheap.

      @@VantageWelding Yea the titanium 225 stick. The only bad side about it it's it's duty cycle, 20% but it can handle more than that.

    What are your settings My won’t run it like other machines I have used I say it can’t run 6010

    • @VantageWelding
      @VantageWelding  8 месяцев назад

      It’s started sputtering on me ones I got the hot pass and fill. If I gotta use cellulose rod, go with 6011. This machine will put some beautiful 6010 roots though. Idk why it won’t weld it while running any other part of the weld
