- Landry Fields and the Atlanta Hawks finally made their decision on who they wanted to take in the 2024 NBA Draft. The Hawks selected Zaccharie Risacher, the 19-year-old prospect from France. Tenitr Batiste, Jarvis Davis, and Maria Martin talked about whether this pick makes sense for the Hawks given the makeup of this roster.
Secondly, the team discussed how Fields has never expressed what they want to do as an organization. The drafting of Zaccharie Risacher further proves they don’t know where they’re going.
Lastly, they wrapped things up by discussing how Tony Ressler may be more of a problem than Landry Fields.

I'm in the minority but I definitely believe Zaccharie Risacher can play 20 minutes a night as a rookie and contribute based on his defense and shooting. Yes he is a project but all the players in the draft were projects, the Hawks took the highest floor wing who can help them win day 1. That was the first domino to fall in the offseason, but lets see what happens from here, I personally have like the moves that Landry has made as GM. But time will tell the direction we go.

I can count one hand how many assists DJ gets in the last 3mins of a game. All he does is get off his middy shot, nuthin else. Total one-trick pony in crunchtime
Portland drafted Clingen. Ayton only has 2 years left on his contract and would be a good fit with either Trae or Murray. I know he has his issues, but it's still an upgrade at 5. I think Hawks could put a decent trade package. Risacher is a safe pick, 3nD with pro experience makes sense. Also 100% agree, the Hawks need to figure out an identity before they start trading folks and signing FA. Trading AJ didn't make sense to me.

@@tylerjones2586 That's your opinion bro, and it was a redundant pick. We already have a host of forwards, w/ JJ leading the way. What we needed was a athletic rim protector, who can also shoot the 3. A player who can anchor the defense unit.

The Hawks owner and front office is a mess and that is a cancer to a team that could take yrs or decades to over until that get fixed we are doomed how you don’t have a direction for your team ?
