YES BOIS IT'S THAT TIME OF THE YEAR FOR THE NEW HOI4 DLC AND THIS ONE IS ALL ABOUT SCANDINAVIA.
Arms against Tyranny adds new focuses for all of the Scandinavian nations as well as new cool mechanics to Hearts of Iron 4.
It's always good to have a new HOI4 DLC and it's time to get back into!
Excited for all the HOI4 mods being updated too!

The new loading screen depicts the brand new German heavy cruiser Blücher being sunk by an obsolete Shore battery manned by caddets and old men during the invasion of Norway 1940.
As a norwegian, I can confirm I had a wet dream about this loading screen last night

@@marcelk2753 Blücher was hit by shells that set it on fire, it only sank because of being hit by torpedos fired from the same battery.
@@marcelk2753 the battery was old and outadted and only set the ship on fire. The germans expected this and they werent worried as the fire was controlled. What the germans didnt expect is that some norwegian general had managed to convince the goverment to buy a dozen or so modern, high yield torpedoes which some fortresses were outfitted with. The fact the torpedoes existed was top secret and proved devastating.
Can't wait to play as Finland and Invade Korea

Tommy the new background is the German cruiser "Blücher" being attacked by Norwegian coastal cannons when trying to get to the capital of Norway, Oslo. So yes, it is a Norwegian background.
Seems like a Solid DLC, and helps finish off Europe for the most part vanilla wise, and the new company stuff I can see having massive ramifications both good and bad for alot of major mods XD
@@resentfuldragon I would also add better modding tools and clearer info on how they work I imagine would be a good update as well.

honestly as an icelander i cant even explain how happy grateful we are for hoi4. we all thought at first we thought we were going to be left out. ❤
look at japan mission tree, and then look at denmark's -_- one is annexed in 6 hours in ww2, other nuked twice to concede.
Yep but DLCs have been scaled up, if i had to guess i'd say the old DLCs will be reworked for nations like Germany, US, Japan etc. basically those, that received major DLCs first.

Pretty sure the new background is a reference to the Norwegians sinking the Blücher (a super modern cruiser) with their coastal batteries from the 1800s during the 9th of april invasion of Norway.

I think it's great,e xcept that major powers for some reason won't put troops to help you with invasions (I naval invaded britain as denmark, and germany sent max 3 divisions to help me take over brittain)
