    Of course it’s a handsome bike, for me I like the white livery splattered with red and blue. That said until you purchased it this bike has always been under my radar, not taking much notice to it… until now! Now that you’ve been bringing us along as you modify/customize, now I take much notice of it. And that sound🤤 Apologize for repeating myself but, that exhaust has truly transformed it from its stock form giving it noticeable character. Really great job Rye👏 Keep up the good work!

      Thanks Dukie... its interesting as I think due to the looks (headlight) and maybe it's got too much of an overall sterile offering that it doesn't so much stand out in the supernaked segment that this opinion you share is probably true to many people. Though for sure I reckon I am bringing a lot of positive attention to the bike and maybe give people some food for thought 😇

      @@BikesofRye For sure. Honestly the S1000R offers so much and now that I know you can get a really good sound characteristic out of it, and for the price this would be high up there in my choice to purchase of bikes in this segment.

    The fact the bike doesnt dive when braking is more to do with the linked ABS system. Because the bike automatically applies rear brake with front brake it keeps the back end from lifting. This gives you the benefit of being able to brake later and still maintain control under heavy braking.
    My 2010 CBR 1000 had it. I wasn't sure about ABS on bikes back then but after riding it I'd never go without ABS. I was happy to find out the BMW uses the linked system as well.

    • @neonix01
      @neonix01 Год назад

      I had Combined-ABS (linked front and rear brake) on my 2010 Honda CBR600RR back in the day, and it was brilliant. I was sad to learn my 2022 Yamaha MT-09 SP doesn’t have it. I might have to look at the S1000R when I change bikes. That was great feature, especially for emergency braking.

    Hello Rye, thanks for the video! You are slowly changing my mind from Speed-triple 1200 RS to S1000R, could you someday make a video on your perspective of the Truimph Speedy as road bike, the daily ride criteria like bad roads, traffic behaviour, suspension feeling, Etc.

    • @pcarts232
      @pcarts232 Год назад +1

      Hey 👋🏽 I’ve got BOTH!! 😂 I’ll sum it up for you …
      The Speed Triple is an absolute weapon, it’s comfortable, super fast , ok at low speeds but at 7000 rpm it literally goes nuts ! It will make you smile every time you ride it..
      The S1000 R does everything really well it’s almost perfect…..BUT it does it in such a clinical way it’s a bit soulless, that’s the best way to describe it , Don’t get me wrong The bmw is a brilliant bike in every way but the Speed Triple has heart ! Hope that helps!

      I had a reputable mechanic install mine... I watched though and have to say it can all be done by just removing the side fairing. Also note that you remove the cables from the servo motor for the exhaust valve and leave the servo motor plugged in on the bike it will trick the bike into thinking the exhaust valve is still operational and you will avoid warning lights

    what are the most essential extras for this bike if you want to drive it day to day inside town? for example is the dynamic pro mode needed or the dcc for the suspension? fantastic bike! 😍

    • @justRORIRARU
      @justRORIRARU 2 года назад

      That bike is totally underwhelmed by riding inside town. If that happens to be you basically trundle around at like 2k revs and 5.4l/100km shopping bread and rolls at the bakery. Effortless bike with awesome handling, just love it. But it is a sportsbike with alike geometry, guess there are better less expensive options on the market for that style of riding. :)
      Only must have for me are the cast wheels or if one prefers even the carbon ones, less weight where one really needs it, the unsprung masses. Dynamic pro is a nice have for ones ears or if one likes to play around with settings. Guess you got to testride one, but attention, that might make you buy one (did happen to me). :D
