I have looked at many of your videos in the past and enjoyed your opinions and suggestions. Im the middle of selection of a quick and dirty mobile lighting system for small weddings and bar gigs and thought of you. You just happened to have a review of one of the products I wanted but after seeing this video I am buying both! Thank you so much and continue on with the videos!

Nice job on the video demonstration. I have 2 sets of the 4 Bar and 4 Play and they definitely fill the room. The stand didn't hold up because the knob that tightens stripped on both units. Can't stop it from turning now. Both cases that hold the 4 Bar units and stands are falling apart even though I've handled them carefully. I contacted Chauvet and they indicated that the warranty didn't cover the cases or the stands. even though it's sold as a package, they didn't stand behind their products.

I have the DJ 4 play. Can't get it to work with DMX. I set it 512 d 1. Perhaps Dip switch in the back is not right? Any suggestions? I am using a small 3 channel chauvet light board.

So I have two of the 4 bar light sets already, my question is if I add one 4 play to the mix. Can it be programmed so the 4 bars are on and 4 play is off and vice versa or is it blackout kills all etc? That's what I would suspect.
Or can the 4 play be run independently with any kind of control other then power on/off.

Thanks for the video. I've had these lights for a while. I point the 4Bar towards the dance floor for wash and shoot the 4Play onto a wall behind me for special FX. No more boring stage. LOL

Getting close to starting this all up, kickstarter party on the 28th, and after New Years I'm looking to be getting lighting and PA, and some other bits, like license, insurance, gig van, business cards, etc... I'm looking at the lighting options I mentioned before as well as EV ZLX 12" tops and a ZXA1 Sub... and the cables and stands to accompany it all. Please give me your input, I may be buying a couple of the lights before the 28th...

Thanks for this video. I have this system, one for stage left, one for stage right. Do you know (or anyone else on hear) how to slave the 4 play from the 4 bar ? I want to be able to black out all of the lights with the foot pedal that comes with the 4 bar, but I can't figure out if this is possible. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

can you make 4Play CL and 4Bar work together on one program/footswitch? I'm thinking of getting a 2nd Mini Kinta, a Mega Strobe 12FX, Micro Galaxian, MinLaser RBX, Fog Machine, and the 4Play CL and 4Bar Flex, all to go on a 10' truss between tripods setup. Maybe a couple pinspots, second 4Play CL (then they'd go on speaker poles) , and SlimPar56 uplights(a few battery/wireless ones too). Looking at the Obey40 controller. And projector for custom Gobos. Which of this for starter setup?

The CL im actually not loving that much, it'd do great for cealing cover in a dark room or something, but to look at... im not a fan. On the other hand, the 4bar looks like a light i could certainly put to use :)
