I know most people don't really take Will Ferrell seriously since he is always playing goofballs/insanely crazy characters in comedies, but the man actually has an amazing singing voice. If Will actually recorded an album with completely serious or dramatic songs, I would buy it so fast that it would make your head spin!

As a young Filmmaker myself, Making a comedy is by far the hardest thing to do. it's easy to make someone cry with a drama but it's 100 times harder to make someone laugh. I know it's a long shot but i wish the Oscars will one day start to take comedies seriously. But that's a hell of a long shot.
They should have reprised this for this year's Oscars. With Ryan Gosling getting nominated for a blockbuster comedy movie that Will Ferrell was also in, and with Jack Black having a hugely popular song from a movie that didn't even get shortlisted for Best Original Song, it would have been perfect timing.
