What’s up guys and gals, I’m Kage848. I love to make videos for RUclips, mostly early access survival games like 7 Days to Die, Empyrion, Raft, Mist Survival, The Forest, and more! I also dabble in City Builders and strategy games like Civilization 5, Civilization 6, Dawn of Man, Stonehearth, Factorio and Rim World. I do at least two videos everyday of mainly tutorials, let’s plays and general gameplay footage. Thanks for watching my videos.

This Early Access game is not complete and may or may not change further. If you are not excited to play this game in its current state, then you should wait to see if the game progresses further in development.

It feels like if you build your base tall instead of broad, you would have a much smaller footprint to cover with fences but could still have a big base
If you´d play this game, you´d know that one floor is much better. Running up and down stairs is pain in the ass. And you would do it a lot, trust me.
@@BJKage yeah i have definitely played this game but okay
@@bill_and_amanda There are people in here who don´t play it. I build one floor and multiple floor buildings in this game and find the one lvl floor buildings better. I run constantly and in that speed I tend to misstep a lot. Also always running up and down for stuff was annoying. Last season I built in sort of Spirited Away style. On and in between two huge rocks. You know bathroom, bedroom, workhouse, kitchen, platform as a powerhouse and it looked awesome and worked well. This time around I can even have real bath tub and toilet instead of pot yes I used pot as a toilet, close enough. Nothing better till now. Did not mean to offend you.
@@BJKagehaving a multifloor base is annoying in pretty much any game, but so is farming up hundreds of iron to build a giant fence and then trying to maintain and defend that fence.
There's no structural integrity, you could just build a small first floor footprint (say 3x3) with a staircase up, and then go out three or four floors all the way around (like 11x11) and still have a large single floor without having to build such a large fence.
@@bill_and_amanda Yeah, that is right, that´s why I always build around these rocks to use them for having more protection and less fencing. And I also make the steel fence behind the barb wire fence.
The name of the defensive works surrounding a gate is a gatehouse or barbican.
Love when you talk to the devs and give us this awesome info! I turned attacks off cuz they were too much as is.
Just unecessary destruction which takes time and planning. I also turned it off. If they left the structures alone it would make more sense. Zombies don't destroy walls or buildings in any realistic post apocalyptic scenario. Its a solid wood wall... how in the hell could a half dead have the strength to decimate a tree
Can rain straight down. Wind can be in different levels/layers up the sky, why clouds can move in different speed too.
Interior Lights will also not affect the light value 🎉 game edge has already done the video showcasing new decorative things
Sounds like a lot of good things are coming, I've been dying for something to put in the base, I kinda hope they add a comfort value that helps your stats somehow, maybe makes stamina drain slower? I also hope that all the stuff isn't locked to the trader, being able to make some of it is fun. And a radio, I think that would be fun! I enjoy the look of the barbed wire fences, and really they are pretty cheap each, but if you have a large base, wow. It takes so much effort to repair and replace them, I feel like they shouldn't be destroyed period but fall down until you repair or destroy them. I make them a few at a time, but I don't turn on base attacks so mine are just for looks. Also removing the lamps from the light value is just necessary IMO, especially if you light up your yard then the shutter idea is limited. My dream for attacks is the random attacks, mostly by one or two at a time, and every now and then have 4 or more come. I also like the idea of going back to the human looking vambies, the goblin and werewolf enemies look great, but they just don't fit where the game has come from. Thanks for sharing the info and the fun!
SOLID tip on your last vid on selling cement... made a ton of gold with that ..and then got the gas generator and 2 advanced batteries .. power is no longer an issue at all.. only issue with the generators is you have to monitor the gas...but gas cans respawn in towns...so i already have a stock pile of gas..
Ideally, the best form of defence for your base is a combination of a fence, (upgraded to concrete then steel), the barbed wire fences right in front of them, and then the upgraded spike traps facing out from the bottom of the fences. All with the metal gate to get in and out. Of course, this is a very expensive process, and one that will take a fair bit of time to implement. Also, I use the trick of having foundations down to provide the necessary lining up with the rest of the base. I lead one row away from the base itself, as far as I want the fencing to be, then delete all except the one that's going to form the foundation of the fence. It's more work doing it that way, of course, but it looks really good. The only thing you have to watch when doing it that way is the height of the land in respect to the foundation pieces being placed down. Raising them does involve a big step, but it can work out well if it occurs along one stretch of the fencing to form either a step up or a step down, using a stair to bridge it. I've even extended the foundations out at the corners to form a circular shape that can be useful for defensive purposes as it allows you to shoot along the line of the fencing, if you have a platform of some sort to stand on. The logical step, having done this, is to make something akin to a castle wall/fortification, but then it depends how much time, effort and materials you want to put into it all.
There´s lots of new things and they´re awesome. I mean the decor.
Da Dev is doing great things!
Can't wait to see what you do with this new update!
The updates sound like fun. Great series! ❤
Found mike after clearing about half the towns in game. Doesnt seem to be as buggy as he was in the past...at least for now lol. Built a greenhouse and he is keeping all the plants up, filling my rock containers and wood log stands without any issues so far. Such a major difference once you got him up and running and the greenhouse...I have so much food and biofuel now! Will get the oil pump soon...but for now, not a major deal
Also if you are encumbered...crouch makes you move SLIGHTLY faster than standing while encumbered...
I wish they made games like this multiplayer
Honestly ive only been playing this game for a few weeks and I've seen past gameplay of early releases and I gotta say that the update with the wolves and goblins really take away from the scare factor. Feels really cheezy. When I originally saw gameplay of the early infected it scared the hell out of me. Its good he's going back. The weird characters really take away from the elements of the game rather than add to it. I ended up turning off hordes because they just kept destroying my shit and then i would die anyway. Seemed pointless. If they didn't destroy my stuff it would be way better.
Try putting spikes under ground and just the tips of the spikes to show that my work
Just watch a video from game edge and he displayed the stuff from the upcoming update in creative play just to show everything. It's alot
NEW Zombie Crafting SURVIVAL: Quarantine-Z: Survival?
KAGE.....I'm happy you're back in this game, it's Always a great series and I've learned a lot from you here as well as on 7DAYS...so Thanks for that......I have this game, had it for a long time but haven't played it at all and I'll tell you why......obviously not an issue with the Dev because he is Dedicated to the game, but for me...and probably Just me, I HATE the building Limiter !!...Not being able to build out my base as big as I'd like to is a huge problem for me and the goofy vambys....petty things?....maybe but if he removed the building limiter I'd be happy.....the furniture updates are Awesome, but they are going to Need big rooms in order to be useful.....my opinion
Not sure why you think building is limited. Im pretty sure you can just make more land claim polls and build bigger. Maybe im wrong? Ill try it in my next video
@@Kage848 uh....well...damn I really didn't think to try that...but I'll be watching when you do and then we'll both know lol
You can make new land claim poles, the problem is that they govern are a circle. They can't touch and there is space where you still cannot build. still a great game though. @@Kage848
Do we know when this update is coming I would like to start a series on it but I don't want to until it's updated
How are you moving multiple items in boxes etc only does singles in my game
Kage check out game edges video of the update he trials everything
