What does UPST do?
It isn't clear why MM held this trade (presumably to his pivot low stop then along the 21sma) vs when he was previously selling on "pops" into strength in the prior environment despite him saying that he thinks the current environment is much like the prior environment.
My only guess is that he has a "bull" thesis on the market right now but idk 🤷♂️
My guess is in this environment, even though there is still difficulty with breakouts, there is still some leadership setting up properly and taking off, and he wants to latch onto that. Last year, leadership had already topped in Feb and was in a bear market, so there's not really much point trying to hold positions for a larger move (especially when sectors were heavily rotational). But agreed, it's not too clear from this excerpt.

Yes! Locking something relatively quick in can also have a big impact with your mindset/how you handle the trade.

@@EvanEvansE3 I think it is too. I mean more specifically how long they have their special guests such as Mark Minervini or Matt Caruso on for that allotted 90 minute period, because having them on for only 10 minutes (period of this video) would be kind of short!

It's a very valuable service I would say, but I haven't pulled the trigger yet because I lead a trading group myself and am not needing to follow others since I'm leading my group. But I want to try it out sometime. I'm already a MarketSmith user.
Hey Charlie! Confirming this is from IBD Live :) When we have a special guest, they join us for the full 90 mins! We have David Ryan on every Tuesday, and an additional special guest every week -- usually Fridays, but when Mark is on it's typically a Wednesday!
