Ok.i built this using a 30 gallon plastic drum.used 3/4" as the inlet pipes,and 1 1/2" as the outlet pipe.i used reducers to bring it down to 3/4 at the discharge end.my stand pipe is 24" tall placed 4' away form the drum.filled the drum from the large bing opening,then screwed it back in place.when draining,the drum sides collapsed quite a bit,and even though the inlet pipe was primed and full of water,it did not suction any water into the drum.i will try this again using a 55 gallon steel drum and repeat my experiment

Output pipe should 1 inches pipe, first, then connect to a 2 inches diameter pipe (or bigger) up to near the outlet, finally connect again to a 1 inch pipe or 3/4" about 1 foot long. The 2 inch pipe is play a major role in this pump so don't miss it !! Also the vertical pipes (2") must be installed to trap any air flashbacks and also to increase the output flow. The output pipe should be at least 3 times longer than the input pipe.
According to the law of physics this will never work , if the outlet field is higher than the reservoir . If it is low no need this pump. Just bury the pipe from the reservoir to the field. You see knowledge and wisdom is two different things. I think this is a good ad for the PVC pipes. Thanks for entertaining.
Bottom line in physics it goes credit to gravity as a main driving force to create that volume of water pressure up by the pond this will help increase volume of water inside the pipe that cause another pressure that brought stored pulling force by the help of gravity , the tank should be tightly close to help pressure to build ups and create more consistent power to sucks pressures inside the tank through pipes,this consistency will cause round the clock water pumping to get increase more sucks of rapid volume can help water system to carry on from below elevation to the dry up land..
according to the physics this method will help other farmers to save energy, no electricity, oil and gasoline only the water itself, thanks for this idea🤩

Are the dimensions of the pipe extending to the field and the water inlet pipe different? it's like the inlet is thin and the outlet is a wider pipe
The distance of the drum to the source must not be more than 5 meters. We have to consider the suction capacity of the drum. The intake pipe can be the same but not bigger than the output pipe. The hole diameter of both the intake and output pipe must be the same. In this manner , the amount of water getting inside the intake pipe will be the same as the amount of water getting out the the output pipe. Any discrepancy will promote inefficiency in the system, weakening of the output water pressure , and in the long run stoppage of the system . Why it is a common or standard practice for the output pipe to be bigger than the output pipe. Because it helps increase water pressure and farther increase with the use of tall pipe or balloon. Why , despite the differences , the amount of in and out are the same. Because of a reducer pipe installed with a hole the same as the intake pipe.
