At my old company, we used to store brass terminals in plastic bags. However, after storing them for long period of time, we noticed we had tolerance problems with the brass. After checking them, we noticed bits of micro plastic sticking to the brass. We then stored them in glass jars.

Something I do when I vacuum seal my ammo, cut a small triangle at one end of the bag (on the edge where the flap is thicker) to make it tearable without the need for scissors.

The scissors in every can are a great idea even though forgetting your knife is the 8th Deadly Sin!

cabela's vacuum 8' bags work best. pack the ammo in their boxes, 30.06 single box, .223 in twos or threes, 9 single. air remover pack, then a second layer with another oxygen remover. you can store firearms too, triple bag them, don't over don't make them too tight, make them snug. may God bless you, never loose heart.

With hunting ammunition still hard to get we should all be storing it for the long term. I never thought of vacuum sealing ammunition. Thanks.

Just another thought, if you're the type to worry about a societal collapse then having ammo portioned like this could be good for trading as it would likely become a commodity item used as money.

Vacuum sealers are cool rigs. Ammo, spices/herbs, apples for freezing, beef jerky, storing meat & veggies. Lots of stuff.

Another benefit to this is that it gets rid of any rattle from ammo loving around in your pack.

the edges of those bags look a little crooked..also, you need to straighten out that piece of paper hanging on the left side if the fridge with a magnet.

I have 40 year old 9mm ammo just stored in the original packaging in my home. Just shot a box last year and every round fired just as if it were new.

I use a 5 gallon bucket with a snap on lid and silica gel in a pill bottle with small holes punched in the lid keeps my ammo good and dry very cheap and affective

Been doing this for a while, makes stocking you go bags easier to.When I seal rifle cartridges I put them in way then put a row in between facing the other way,no more sharp point sticking through the bags

For $7-8 a pack of 100 - you can toss in a 2 or 5 gram desiccant tab in with your cartridges - depending on caliber/quantity - and double down on dry. Those bags Knick real easy. Especially if it’s a spitzer round. My basement leans a bit damp so every little precaution helps
