Not even kidding every single time I’ve ever imagined what it would be like going on love island, the main thing I get anxiety about is what I would do with my hair 💀😂 loved this video
Same lol
Black women always have to think about their hair!! Going natural was the best thing I ever did!
"Justine is keeping it clean"🤗🤗
LOL my moms FAVORITE quote 😂
I love this style on you. Shoulder length with a side part really suits the shape of your face. I think small shoulder length knotless boho braids would be a nice fit.
Girl I wasn't even in the villa and I was wracking my brain over how I would take care of my hair without looking crazy in front of others/on camera 😭😂 Thank you for this fun video! Hair is such a big deal for us black women, but the way we can switch it up so often is awesome 💖
It sure is but that’s what I love most about our hair, the versatility!!! Thank you for the live and support queen!
I can relate on one of our vacations I arrived at the resort with cornrows in an updo. Next morning at breakfast I had shoulder length dark loose curls. Dinner that evening I had a dark brown and gold higlited bob with bags past my shoulders. Needless to say the hostess at the buffet told me she looks forward to my hair styles each day 😂😂💚
So sad we think our hair looks “crazy”. 😢
"Not me putting people on" 🤣😂
Looool I said wait, should I work with Kendra’s boutique 😂🤔
@@JustineNdiba not Queen replying to me 😩😩😍
We love the ears. Keep showing the ears!
Hahahaha y’all elevated my confidence level in a way that you don’t even know 💕
try knotless braids sister! no pain at all!!
Agreed. And I’m the most tender of tender heads
"I love that for you, I love that for me and I love that for us 💗"
Hahahahahahha thanks sis!! I’m like, is it sticking yet?? 😂
@@JustineNdiba Definitely sticking 😊. Love the videos. We need a sister tag video with your sisters. I remember the story you said when either you or your sister fell in a pothole on your way to school in Kenya that was hilarious. I stay in Kenya so I can relate 😂😂😂.
Yes, Justine it is catching. Thank you for sharing your journey with us.
Knotless box braids is less tension and it looks good and natural!! Try those
I recommend knotless braids too! It’s so much lighter and pain free! I’m tender headed too and that’s honestly the only braids I’m gonna do moving forward 🤍
Yesss! That was gonna be my next move??? So it’s true that that does make it lighter?
@@JustineNdiba Yes! I am so tender headed but with knotless, there is no pain and it's so much lighter for me. Regular box braids used to hurt my neck because they were so heavy.
@@JustineNdiba and you hardly lose those precious front hair
Sis, whoever does Aissatas wigs should make you a wig 😍
Yes she always looks great!
After u explained the situation. I love u so much Justine. I could care less what's on top of ur head. Because ur gorgeous with or without.
I actually really like your little saying in the beginning. It’s cute. I’ve been natural since high school for the most part and the best thing you can do to grow your hair out is to leave it alone and keep it oiled.
I love box braids it’s the take out that I dislike, I always lose hair. The build up of product and dead hair. I do like crochet its breathable and so versatile 🙂
it's shed hair it's fine unless you're being rough with it
Justine i saw your commercial with fun fit fab at 3am this morning. My girl is killing it!
I too had a box braid crisis lol. Shout out to conditioner and rat tail comb 😂😂
Thank you for your transparency! I was gonna say I love crotchet braids because it is lighter and it doesn’t take long to get in and take out!
Hey girl hey !!❤️why am i over here with a big ole smile every time I watch your videos always making my day !!
Hey my good sis!!! Cause you’re a whole ride or die!!! 💕
@@JustineNdiba how could I not be your such a genuine human it literally feels like am supporting one of my friends!!
You should try small, long knotless braids. They don't hurt and they're cute❤❤
I love this story! Recently I was diagnosed with lupus and I am losing my hair. You made me feel comfortable to try wearing a wig. I am in the beginning stages of learning how to secure and style them. It’s definitely a learning process. I’ll keep watching you for inspiration!💕💕
Wow, thank you for your comment. I’m glad this video was helpful to you in any way at all but Queen, YOU are the true inspiration. Thank you for sharing and I will definitely continue to post these videos and go through this learning process together! 💕
Just wanted to send some positivity and prayers your way. Love that Justine inspires you. She really has created this amazing community of people. 💕
@@JustineNdiba i love you! You are so sweet💕💕
Im glad Box Braids came back in style. it's a great look!
SAMEEEE! I’m about to rock them and not know how to act LOL
i've always seen people with box braids i never knew they were no longer in style for any period of time
I’m glad you spoke on how frontals ruin your edges. ruining your hairline bc of frontals is the strangest thing that’s been normalized
Girl, u absolutely need to try knotless box braids, I promess u they will not fall out the way knotted braids do. You will probably need to go to an african american braider instead of an african one, cuz most african braiders don't do knotless braids. You can also always experiment with different braiding styles.
There are also many glueless frontals, you just have to learn how to pluck them through tutorials.... it is definitely a whole journey that's for sure.
Also little youtube tip: you should definitely start going a little crazy with ur titles, it intrigues more people (outside of your love island fam) to click on ur videos. For example this video could have been titled: i had to detangle my hair for 6 hours or something like that. That makes me as a viewer wonder why it took u so long to detangle ur hair. I hope that made sense lol.
Enjoyed this, ah the struggles of hair!!!!! It's an everyday struggle for my 4c life, right there with you girl!!!.
Try knotless braids they are painless and more beautiful
This is one of my favorite hairstyles and I love the curly side but I love all of them thus far you rock it all the time !
I'm hereeeee!!!!!😍. Black girl magic is all over this video!!😁
Yassss, Im loving your solo content !!! Thankyou for sharing your hair journey. For your natural hair, I would suggest you use shea moisture jamaican black castor oil shampoo, hair mask and conditioner to help grow hair. Use sunny isle jamaican black castor oil on your edges twice a day (morning/nighttime) and oil your entire scalp as well. You can also apply this oil on your eyebrows and eyelashes if you want to grow them. Also the Denman detangle paddle brush is the BEST brush to use to detangle hair, it is a must have! P.S always detangle hair that is wet and has conditioner with your Denman brush---there is less pressure on scalp and it will be pain free.
I love your courage and self love. We all have a story and that is something no one can take away or belittle. I dislike the shade of someone's post. How can one be so rotten that they openly attack someone who is suppose to be a friend. Just evil in my opinion. Thank you for the high road realness. Take note girls! This is how you deal with those who have nothing on you and try to attack our hair because they think its a weakness. They are grasping straws. Little do they know, Its a strength and they then expose themselves as desperate losers. The addition of someone spilling a drink solidified that she needs to be canceled and shunned.
ahhh justine you really are SHINING 🥺❤️❤️❤️ LOVE YOU!
Knotless braids have been a staple for me. Lighter weight and very natural feeling.
This dropped at the perfect time during my lunch break today. I LOVED this video learning more about you and your personal hair journey.
,💕
Awww thank you my fav Queen! Sorry for being a day late but I’m glad that I can get to bring you guys in a little more every week 🤎
Totally love your ponytails & buns🔥and yes to your pretty ears out
I’ve be anticipating a hair journey video 🖤♥️
I wanna get to a point where I can style for y’all!!
Growing up in the Caribbean, it was a rite of passage to get to the age where you get a relaxer. After losing a lot of the hair to the middle of my head using a harsh relaxer at age 12, and dealing with it for years, it took a near fatal car accident which caused my hair to fall out in chunks for me to realize healthy trumps length. I chopped it all off..still rocked a relaxer for years but have been natural now for 13 years and it isn’t all flowers and roses but I’ll take it over chemical burns ( and migraines ) and my two daughters are enjoying their curls too
Man I enjoyed this so much! I am trying so many different things too as I have started a natural hair journey a few years ago. I have recently tried a few wigs. I like braids and have started getting more of those too. You are right it is quite the journey for us black women.
You are so beautiful!! The Crocheting will be the best option or twists just like your good friend Kyra ❤️❤️
Love your hair in this video and side part is the vibe!
You dropped this 👑. Queen.
I think your styling and experimenting is definitely pretty good - thanks for putting us on. The journey of learning this wig thing is a process, I can tell what looks great but I can’t do it myself. 🙃 RUclips is of course super helpful, but I can tell you’ve been learning and always looking better and better!
I absolutely love all your hair styles. You're doing a good job Justine.
If beautiful was a person. Honestly, just wow !!!!!!👏🏿👏🏿👍🏿👍🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿👌🏿🔥
Loving the solo content Queen. Please keep it coming ☺️☺️
That’s why I love my crochet locs very low maintenance and I have so much new growth! Just don’t go all the way to the edge of your hairline and you’re good it works for me. #protecttheedges 😆
The realness in this video 💯. Personally i've always been natural hair all my life, worn weaves & wigs countable times but i keep off because i ain't good in wearing them🙈. I do cornrows, bantu knots, twists, crotchets (quick & painless). In 2019 i woke up one day and went to a barber got a nice haircut my hair had serious heat damage. Rocked haircuts upto mid last year then started growing my hair back and it so healthy and full thanks to rice water, @Marini Naturals hair products 🇰🇪 and Cantu products (Nigeria).
BEST BELIEVING I WAS YELLING THAT INTRO WITH YOU 💃🏾❤️
You should try knotless braids. They look natural but last less time than regular braids and they probably are done in less time. I've had med knotless braids done in 5 hours.
Love the transparency of this video👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I just started a new hair journey myself and hopefully it'll be my final with beginners dreadlocks. I've done alot to my hair over the years but for my 36th birthday I decided to go natural and start dreadlocks. I'm looking forward to the growth and transformation😊
Always keeping it real. Love you Queen Justine 👑💚
Yess Justine 🥰
Heyy queen we miss you happy Monday ❤️
Yesssss Justine definitely go for the individual crochet!!! Saved my life lmao once you go crochet it’s hard to go back! I grew up getting relaxer and went natural in high school, pretty much wore braids for years until junior year in college where I started wearing my hair out more and really learning about it! I started dabbling in wigs a few years ago but I need to get like you! 😤 about to move to a colder area for med school so wigs will really come in handy
If you can, I’d recommend butterfly locs or knotless braids. Knotless are less boxy and heavy.
Love you Justine! 🥰
Girl you rock any style regardless 👌💕
Justine‼️‼️‼️....sis if your braids are falling out they ain’t doing it right. I braided my hair a lot but I stopped with the regular box braids cause like u said they’re too heavy, so now when I get braids I get the knotless braids. Totally recommend, they are light weight and this method helps me grow my hair.
I would def recommend finding a hairstylist that has gentle hands and emphasizes being gentle on the hair of her clients. A lot more hairstylists are emphasizing that bc there’s simply no reason to be in so much pain just to get your hair done
Love this gal soooo much❤️
First❤️
(Edit) Are you going to give us a wig routine?
Love ur vibe Justine....sister in my head
i'm the same i want braids but i don't like sitting for a long time and i also don't like the heavy feel but seeing a lot of women wearing knotless and large/jumbo braids got me wanting to go get them for summer
Thanks for sharing. Your hair always looks great. I am considering purchasing a wig.
This video was refreshing
Not me struggling to get my knots out my hair after box braids while watching this video😂😂 the stress is out of this world omg. Thank you Queen for this video it’s dealing with the stress for me. I love your current hair and the curly hair in your last video. Also It’s the green💚 hair for me!! can’t wait to see it on you ❤️
Use aloe vera to detangle
@@ctay4sho09 Raw aloe vera? Can it be used after washing and conditioning your hair?
@@nanayaaagyeiwaamensah134 yeah from an aloe plant which is best or try products with aloe vera high in the ingredients list. U can use it before washing & after to remoisturize ur hair.its good for hair growth as well
@@ctay4sho09 thanks for the recommendation
@@ctay4sho09 thank you. Will do that next time❤️
Loved this vid! I hated getting box braids as a kid too lmao! Trying to sleep with fresh box braids is an Olympic sport 😭 Now I usually wear sew ins with kinky straight hair so it blends with minimum heat & when I want to give my whole head a break I do Marley twists.
Hayy gurlie and i definitely love that for me and love thaf for u❤️
Justine, I just love you sharing your journey with us. I know what you mean about the whole tender headed thing. I know you want box braids and the green, you will seem so limited. Your wigs are gorgeous on you. You look so beautiful in so many different styles. Think about it. We will still love you matters which way you go.
You should get knotless braids! They are not as heavy and less pressure on your roots
Justine your hair is always on point and popping!! YOU ROCK!! ❤️💁👏🏽WOW...WHAT A GREAT STORY!!!
You should get knotless braids or crochet butterfly braids 💚💚💚
Justine when you return to box braids try the knotless braids they have less tension on your hair.
Love your truth! It is also mine🤦🏽♀️
I'm a guy so I always been boldhead😂 but your actually helping people through this video; I did grow my hair out because my sisters wanted me too it's a long story😂
I would love to hear your journey toooooo!!! I’m glad this video was helpful 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾💕
@@JustineNdiba Sorry for the late response just got off work. My story isn't that interesting I always had a low cut with waves and my whole life people recognize me so my sisters told me to grow my hair so people don't recognize us but that didn't work😂
love you girl🥰🥰🥰🥰
yes get knotless braids!!! I will never go back to box braids, your edges will thank you and so will your head lmfaoo no pain at all
💚💚💚
Queen
One thing bout Justine, her hair is always popping.
I love all your hair styles!! Have we ever seen your natural hair styled?
Headband wigs are cute
💚
I love green too! It has to be a dark evergreen for me. Do you buy your hair green, ombre green, or color it yourself? Thanks for the video!
I love that for you, I love that for me AND I LOVE THAT FOR US, YES! I SAID IT TODAY!
I like exploring with my hair as well. I think you would look Good with Goddess Braids
Get knotless braids!!! Not box braids. Knotless braids are so light and don’t hurt. Once I tried knotless braids I have never gone back they are 🤩🤩🤤🤤
You should try knotless braids!
Girl I’m like you I’ve tried everything. So now I’m natural hair with a closet full of wigs. Every time you see me I’m someone different. My natural hair is for home only😂😂
Hahaha I’m about to designate a whole room for my wigs lol I love my natural hair too tho and can’t wait to wear it our more once she’s fully healthy again 💕
So is your natural hair not worthy to be worn in public places?
@@fatudaniel7301 she did say a while back she's trying to get it healthier and in volume.
@@annemakena2994 I'm talking about the girl who said she only wears her natural hair at home only.
@@fatudaniel7301 okay got it
Crochet braids! Less time and u can do so many different styles with them!
Hi can you link the names of the two sites you mentioned please. I didn’t catch the full names x
To me there are 2 important factors. WHAT STYLE you pick and WHO DOES THE STYLE. there is a lot of stylist who will claim they can do this and they can but they need to protect your hair while doing it.
Hey sis loved the video. Do you recommend the person who created the wig you are wearing in this video? I’m asking because influencers always get the best wig and I’m tired of getting played.
Hi justine how you doing love you watching from the beautiful bahamas
Crochet is still bad for the hair. Knotless box braids will probably cause the least damage. You also can’t leave them in too long.
When quarantine started I tried out braiding my hair and I did twists, took me a LONG ass time and it looked hella messy but I was proud of myself after.
😍try crotchet braids🤔
Of late there is something about peroxide blonde, blonde wigs and pink hair on anyone no matter race, cred or colour that gives me that sends shivers down my spine. Scary! I do love braids though!
My box braids never fall out. Why / how does this happen??
I wanted to know about your natural hair! Do you have a relaxer?
Are you still wearing the Invisalign? If so it’s really seamless, because you can’t tell
Wow, I can see them on her. They look great.
