It doesn't exactly feel like popcorn. It feels like putting a credit card between your teeth. It's quite painful but raking Tylenol helps. It will also be practically impossible to eat chips or anything hard, soft foods are best like mashed potatoes or yogurt. Ice cream helps a lot btw
Yep DINT TAKE TYLENOL TOO LATE I took it after 7 hours after I had 1 and I had 2 after the 7 hours AND IT HURT SO MUCH BECUASE THEY ARNT VERY AFFECFIVE ANYMORE

I have them right now and its my second day. I feel nothing. But today my spacer fell out and my appointments in 2 weeks will it fill the gap in before that?

Same here I use my front teeth to chew but it also hurts.
It is so painful. Please make enough research and find other alternatives !

Yes, I took it ! 😊 Still, it felt like I am biting a rubberband constantly. So annoying !
Saugat Pokharel that is normal. Discomfort may last a couple of days. Use Panadol if required.

I have them on right now, it is a very irritating feeling the first 2 days, it hurts a lot to bite and chew properly, and always feels like you just have something stuck in between your moral teeth. but in the 3rd,4th day it gets way better, still a little bit of irritation here and there but a way more relaxed feeling in your teeth. One of them actually fell out and i accidently swallowed it, i called my clinic and they said that it was very common and not to worry since it means there is enough space for them to put the braces in. thats my experience.
How long does it take for this gap to be in the teeth??
Is it normal if these spacers make all my teeth hurt like please I'm dying here

@@chilledterps it's my second day and I'm so annoyed. My teeth are so crooked that braces are an actual health precaution. It feels like I have a full mouth of cavities.

Nothing to see over here yep I remember I had them in almost all my teeth they were too cluttered but It’s been 1 year in my braces treatment and it’s been soooo good my teeth are straight now
Nothing to see over here no everything for me was great other than the fact that they were reallyyyyyyy painful like super painful, I had to take pain reliever pills to get through the pain and ice cream also helped out for me, yogurt and basically anything cold. There’s nothing that can really make the pain go away you just have to go through it sadly. The ice cream and stuff just made it hurt less. But good luck ! At first it will feel like the worst thing ever but once you’re done with the process it’ll feel worth it. And are you getting braces soon ?
Nothing to see over here bro braces hurt for like a week, not as bad as spacers but they do hurt for the first week or two, you’re going to get really skinny if you’re not skinny already 😂 cause I had to eat soft foods for a week dude it was the worst but I saw myself get skinny which was good 🤷🏽♂️
Omg how did u control that pain. I got 4 spacers and it's like I m in hell😭.How did u controlled that much pain. Please say how many days it takes to get cured. And will the spacers fell down automatically?

The person who did mine did not stretch them when they put them in I am not sure if you are supposed to
after they put the bands in my teeth i was fine but felt weird, but after a couple hours they started to hurt bad, i just wanted to take them out.
When did it stop hurting in ur case?

If you're going to get spacers soon and your watching this video and reading comments, let me tell you not to worry! Everyone is different. I got my spacers a couple days ago and it isnt that painful for me as it were for the people also commenting here. So don't stress! Besides it doesnt hurt to put them in and if it does cause soreness pain to you then you can take tylenol! You got this! :)
I thought my dentist forgot to take it off after my tooth extraction! So it's just a part of a plan for my bracing! Btw,it's not painful. It just gave you the irritating feel as if a popcorn kernel skin stuck between your teeth but not similarly annoying as that. Feels great to know this unknown seperator between my teeth.

Pain is an understatement at this point. I had tried to put ice but it still hurts bad and to top it off I have to keep it on for 8 more days🙁

I remember i put the separator the day before my bday and while i was having a party i forgot i had them so when i was biting a piece of crisps the whole side of my mouth was is so much pain that i screamed (i took a really hard bite) so i didnt eat anything till the next day
Tho to be real if u get pain while having separators be sure to take painkillers in order for the pain to dim , it wont work straight away but after a while you wont even remember u had pain

It feels like a popcorn kernel but the kernel is trying to break your teeth with a mallet and every time you try to fall asleep the “kernel” makes you want to cry.

My back teeth are different they removed the back and grew back and it looks weird and the speedsters go over it and when I bite it touched the metal which hurts my top tooth and my bottom gum

These look completely different than what my orthodontist showed me. They were metal with a wire across the center.

I had my braces put on 12/17/18. On 2/14/19, my orthodontist removed the bottom wire and put two spacers on each side. I had to wear them for one week. 😔

Interactive Introvert it’s okay! Your teeth must be spaced out enough for your orthodontist to fit the braces on. I have spacers because my teeth are too close together. :)

I have some questions
I just got a root canal treatment and one of my upper side teeth is pretty hollow and I think it will have a root canal too. My dentist just installed these spacers today and I suppose I'll be getting braces in a week or so.
Is it safe to have braces a week after root canal? Can I still get my hollow tooth root canal treatment?
Also one of my spacers just broke but it's still in place. Should I get it replaced?
I know these are a lot of questions but they will help me a lot.

I know this video a little old but I just got my spacers done Jan 12 earlier around 11 am and one of my spacers came out at the top around 5 or 6pm do you think I’ll still be able to get my braces on Monday the 16th if there’s is no space ig on one side
The blue rubber bands are nice they cushion my teeth but them bludy metal ones I don't like having my Nan and grandads wedding rings in my mouth!
