Please support us by giving this video a big 👍! It really helps us and is appreciated. I have just posted an Edinburgh Festival Tips video here ➡️ ruclips.net/video/TvkXqb6kB1s/видео.html which has planning tips for anyone thinking of visiting Edinburgh. Enjoy!
You did not, it seems, climb to the summit of Arthur's Seat. What you show is mere the Salisbury Crags. There's still a further couple of hundred feet to go to get to the stop of the hill. So why claim you "climbed Arthur's Seat"? No you didn't... It also seems you haven't grasped the significance of the word "Fringe". It is called that because it began life as a fringe group of mainly university shows from around the UK which decided to set up shop alongside the official Festival - The Edinburgh International Festival - in 1947, when the Festival first started. From its beginnings, in the late 1940s, early 1950s, the Fringe (originally much smaller than the Festival proper) has grown to become what it is today - the largest Arts festival in the world. But it is still the junior partner of the official Festival.
These guys are brilliant. The fact that it's all put together with an iphone really shows their natural skill for cinematography, editing and storytelling, or that other vloggers are wasting a LOT of dollar-bucks on unnecessary equipment (or probably both)
We LOVE Edinburgh so much, it's one of our favourite places in the U.K.! We love the arts too, and have wanted to go to Fringe for SO long! Thanks for giving us a glimpse! ❤️
And he can actually pronounce the name of the city, which is much appreciated! It is very irritating when people post videos and claim to have been in a place called "Edin-BRA".
Thanks for posting this video. My husband and I will be in London and Edinburgh next week and your videos helped us choose the places we want to visit.
Hi. I’ve been to St Augustine! Lovely place! 😍 Glad you found us too. I don’t post very often so hopefully my current content keeps you entertained until the next one!
Thank you so much for making this video. As August approaches I am searching on RUclips for videos to get me excited for it. I am going alone though for the first time this year for a few days. Bit nervous but I suppose being alone means I am free to do what I want when I want.
I'll be moving to London soon. You're literally my favorite travel RUclipsr as of recently! Love the humor, the content, the production and the voice overs. Congrats! Hope to see you somewhere around downtown London!
I love Endinburgh was there three years ago and the city had not changed in the twenty years since I was last there not sure if I will be going there this year when I'm in the UK but hopefully will get a trip in somehow. Great video
Thanks for giving me the worst Fernweh in corona times! I love your videos - the bright and beautiful footage, your humor and you two seem like genuinely likeable people. Sometimes I rewatch your Japan videos on especially dreary indoorsy days. Today is such a day and this video has everything: a great city, views, people, food, arts, shows and livelyness that is sorely missed. Thank you for giving me so much inspiration and journeys to look forward to. Best wishes from austria
I’ve just discovered your channel and love your videos. I’m from England but only recently moved to London and have planned my exploring around your suggestions! More short city breaks in less typical/visited European cities would be great 👍🏻
Blimey! You may have never heard of the Fringe but you will have heard of: Billy Connolly, Rachel Weisz, Robin Williams, Steve Coogan, Graham Norton, Craig Ferguson, Rowan Atkinson - just a few of the many names who started off performing there.
Thanks, dude... I'm quickly creating my final graphic design project and seeing this vlog really helped my memory when I visited Edinburgh. Also seeing these beautiful shots really helps flesh out my project... Thanks...
How are you still below 1 million followers!? This is so good. Loads better than stuffy travel channel docs and so watchable. I'm entertained by your style as well as your content. PS you're giving me serious wanderlust over here in pandemic-ridden, locked-down USA. Liked and Subbed!
I wonder this on a daily basis haha. It’s partly because I don’t play to RUclipss rules and make videos for the algorithm. But thank you. Spread the word if you enjoy. 😍
Suitcase Monkey our rehearsals haven’t began yet so I’m not entirely sure😂 but I’m a musical theatre performer so something along the lines of that and instruments then afew different surprises in it
Loved this video!!! Visiting Edinburgh in august next year and I had no idea this festival was even a thing. Whereabouts was that rooftop bar/resturant you were at at 5:03? Thank you!
Thank you! It’s on Victoria street. There’s some steps that take you up. It’s an open public area. I also did a tips video about Edinburgh which I think will help also.
Really nice Fringe roundup! Glad you had a great time. Got us excited to be heading back to Voodoo Rooms again this year. Hopefully we'll see you guys there!
@@SuitcaseMonkey Unbelievable!!! Didn't expect to find you have something like this in UK:-) Here in Bulgaria we have толумбички, which, if we believe to Google Translate is actually the same. When I visit London I will definitely try churros :-)
Mandi May Most around £5-10 or “pay what you think it’s worth” and some up to around £20. I’m posting a follow up video on Saturday with more planning details around visiting the Fringe so stay tuned for that...
This year I paid an average of £7.60 including booking fee, mostly for comedy shows. Tends to be cheaper Mondays and Tuesdays than at the weekend. There's well over a thousand shows (mostly comedy) that you can get in for free if you're sufficiently ahead in the queue, though it is customary to leave at least a fiver in the bucket. Accommodation is a bit more pricey - very similar to London in August.
One play that EVERYBODY should watch this year is HART at Greenside (Infirmary Street). It's a short play about Alan L. Hart, a transgender doctor who made major breakthrough on tuberculosis. But the show is about SO MUCH more than that, it's a story that navigates brilliantly through subjects like love, betrayal and lgbtqia+ life in the roaring 20's in America. Do not miss it!!

Thank you, you’re welcome! 😃

Thank you Anna, that’s lovely to hear you get so much from them. Makes it easier for me to justify the pain of editing them! 😭
@@SuitcaseMonkey how much does it take to edit them? As one RUclipsr to another? 😅

Not sure how well our plans will match that request but I’ll have a Bruges video out later in the year.
I always enjoy your vlogs.. Love all the way from South Africa 👏🏽
