and my day started out so great too...
just FYI, I did not end up doing a manga chapter comparison afterwards (like I usually do)... I needed to let the episode sink in first. 11/10 for sure!! I will read the chapter in my own time this week, or MAYBE next weekend on Twitch, since there is no new MHA episode (or that is what I heard).
EDIT - okay this is more than a day later so probably too late, but since someone else asked and seemed confused, I should add somewhere to the pinned comment:

it's hard to explain without the full video, which is on my patreon. But basically I finished the episode, then went back and watch that scene again. It didn't feel real the first time... and after the second time I saw it, Hanco came into the room and when I was talking about things, trying to process what happened... I just saw his face and felt like crying instead. Like words couldn't really help me process the feelings of what it would be like to have my son die before me (that's also why seeing Bakugo's mom again was the moment that almost made me break at first)
it's tough to put everything in the video and keep it short enough despite struggling with copyright issues on youtube. but Imy editor just added the part where I went back and rewatched the scene, since I got more emotional the second time

First time I'm watching your stream, I think you share really great perspective and insight, and yes it does boil down to daddy issues and a need for validation based on the standards his dad created for him.
This anime is so real, it has so many parallels to real life. That's why it is a peak anime for me. The emotions of the characters, their burdens are relatable, that's why it hits me so hard.
Studio Bones has done a helluva job this season. However, this was one of their best adapted episodes of the entire series. Massive thanks to each and every individual responsible for making this a reality. I'm at a loss for words and reliving every emotion all over again.

I hadn't cried once about this episode, since I'm a manga reader and processed these emotions years ago. But seeing your second watch through, knowing what was about to happen as it unfolds......and when your fiance came in......I got emotional. I could've never imagined loving Bakugo this much at the start, but as usual he is a legend and a king, so of course I'd die for him in the end. I'm so proud, and so sad.
You can see his dearh coming when you hear present mic explaining his quirk in a sadder tone where has he always does it in a energetic way thats such good detail to add this enitre episode rocked and finally black clouds ffs clear blue sky is so annoying in these situations.
They are so many heroes in cops, firefighters, soldiers at war
Love your love ones an tell them you love them, because you will never know if they are coming back this is the message i receive while watching the episode war causes so much pain

See, the abundance of side characters that I wish we got more time with is one of the reasons why I love MHA so much. Because the world and people in in feel like they're breathing. There's no reason for so many of these side and background characters to feel as 3-dimensional as they do, but they are, because even though the story isn't about them, they still exist as individuals in this world who have their own stories to tell, even if theirs aren't the ones we're following. It's captivating.
This is the last arc, i always think "which character who will die?" 😢

Honestly I thought Season 7 would take AWHILE to get to this very point…the fact that we got here so quickly makes me think this ain’t gonna be a long season

I HATE MEE (not literally) so I watched ep 11 and after I looked at Bakugo “dying” Again then did other things I wanted to see if there was a new episode which I knew there wouldn’t be but I don’t care and I opened the app and just saw Bakugo on the ground “dead” 😭😭😭

Because of Bakugo, the main character returns to the beginning again. The Maruta controversy was not in vain.......I think the title My Maruta Academia is correct.

I will leave this under every comment section: this is finally real, he`s a kid who would`ve never won against villain like that even if pro heroes aren`t able to do so. This is war. It is how it should be done, realistic, without letting kids enjoy how other kids win battles with the power of friendship and love. Absurd! Finally, someone got the nerves!
