    I got my box yesterday, and had a similar reaction to many of the products. I have been hoarding a Sherlock Holmes themed paper collection, and I think this box is perfect for creating a detective themed journal. Traci Fox also has a case file digital collection, if I’m remembering correctly. Luckily, my box had a silver handled magnifier, but if you have any of Tim’s foundry wax (specifically Sterling) you can easily change yours.

      I love Sherlock Holmes! What company is the paper from? I have a lot of different stamps that will go well with this theme. I look forward to working with it. The gold is growing on me, I think I was just disappointed because the box led me to a different expectation. 😉

      @@ButterflyBlessingsStudioI totally said a lie in my earlier comment!! I looked at my box in the dark last night because we were watching a family movie. My magnifying glass is gold, also! I’m going to try the foundry wax on it like I suggested to you. Wish me luck!

      @@ButterflyBlessingsStudioThe Sherlock Holmes paper is from a company called Bee Shabby from Russia. It was a part of a YT Destash I bought years ago. The collection is actually titled Sherlock Holmes.

    Hi… I LOVE this month’s curated selections! It’s in my TOP 3 for sure… despite a couple of hiccups… I also got the gold magnifying glass and although I would have preferred silver, I still think it’s cool & coordinates with the gold details of the vellum booklet LOL - I have TH Foundry Waxes but wouldn’t bother trying to cover the whole thing because the frame around the glass would be difficult to change without getting it on the glass although… I may use a distress crayon to dull the brightness a bit & make it more vintage… I don’t know… anyway… the other hiccup for me was that all but 1 or 2 of the vellum newspapers are in foreign languages… I was amused by the ‘odd ball’ stamp and figured someone at YCS must have a thing for bunnies - although… as I’m typing this I’m thinking of the whole ‘magic’ idea of a bunny coming out of a top hat! RE: Tag Stickers - I’m sorry yours were poorly cut… mine are perfect & I hadn’t figured out yet that they’re stickers (thank you)… RE: Ephemera cards - I was glad to see them not so heavy because I probably wouldn’t use them alone like a mini journal where I would want them heavier. When they’re thick like they have been previously they’re bulkier in my journals… RE: your favorite paper design - funny… I originally thought it was a miss but now I see it’s potential and think it’s pretty cool that it’s like a colored photo negative. I will have FUN with this box for sure! I’m currently doing my September pages and want to be caught up between now and when the December box arrives. This box actually makes me rethink discontinuing getting them! Thanks so much for sharing your unboxing - I love seeing your reactions and how similar or how different they are from my own. I will be using some of the packaging from this box. Thanks again & have a great night! 🙂

      I like the oddball stamp too. I love bunnies. I wonder if you’re right and the designer loves bunnies too 🥰. I am super excited to work with this theme and I love it when the stamps are something I know I will keep using. They’re great for journals. 😀. Thank you for sharing your kindness and your thoughts! Have a great weekend too!! 😊

    I would ink around the edges of the tags rather than fussy cut them and some of them I would colour in the white lines where it it didn’t go all the way around and blend them in. That should help rather than fussy cut and loose the shape. But yes it’s disappointing that they aren’t checked first

      Excellent point! Thank you 😊! I’m definitely going to try that first…it’s so much easier for me than fussy cutting as I have restrictive motion issues with my hands. 😮‍💨

      I wish when they send stamps they would send ink..where do u get your ink?

    • @ButterflyBlessingsStudio
      @ButterflyBlessingsStudio  8 месяцев назад

      @@jessicaleslie-byrn8008 I have lots of inks because I’ve been a card maker for so long. The one I like to use to demonstrate these stamps is versafine onyx black ink. It’s pigment ink so it takes a little longer to dry but yields great results with the details. I probably bought it from scrapbook.com, simonsaysstamp, or Amazon…don’t remember exactly. 😊

      @@jessicaleslie-byrn8008 just a thought, sometimes markers can work well to ink a stamp especially on smaller stamps. With markers, you can even selectively color. For example, green on the leaves and red for the flower. The ink can dry quickly so give the colored stamp a huff of moist breath before you press. Definitely test it out on scrap paper first because not all markers work the same. 😀
