Let's Play Pokemon HeartGold SoulSilver Episode 11: Getting The Bugs Out

In this episode, our egg hatches into a Togepi as we get Koffing, Grimer, Abra & Voltorb from the Town Outskirts Pokewakler route before finishing off the Azalea Gym by defeating Bugsy, the walking Bug Pokemon encyclopedia & getting the Hive Badge. With it, we can use the HM Cut right after helping a kid get back 2 Farfetch'ds. And finally, we teach some of our Pokemon Headbut which we'll put to good use in the next episode.

General Advice: This is the 1st & only instance where the ace is the lead of the team. And there's a reason to. Focus Energy raises the Pokemon's crit rate & with U Turn, that carries over to whoever comes out next. However, Metapod & Kakuna don't pose much of a threat, but they DO know Tackle & Poison Sting respectively, so just watch out for that. It's Scyther you really need to worry about. So bringing a Pokemon that can use a move to whittle it down, like Bayleef's Poison Powder, can give you the edge here. You should probably take advantage of Scyther's 4 times weakness to Rock too.
