The Johnny missions and everything that comes from them are my favorites.
He becomes more of a friend than just a tumor. 😂
You can start Phantom Liberty any time, the structure is identical to the rest of the game. You can come and go to Dogtown any time, it will not lock you out if the rest of the game. Same format with the gigs, side missions, random encounters ect.
The johnny mission has been a journey and there's like more and more things they do it's amazing
Oooh you hit the point where Phantom Liberty activates
This Johnny's night out sequence gave me flashbacks to that old Prodigy video from the 90s 😅
😂😂😂 oh yes!
Great plan regarding the Phantom Liberty and waiting until point of no return, but you can start at any time and treat it like side story too. The missions are tagged in the journal as "Phantom Liberty", so you know which is which and you can switch back and forth.
I will start it asap!
@holliewoodjays that's honestly the way to go. It's a lot more fun as an expansion that enhances the main game, going back and forth between Phantom Liberty missions and base game missions, still leveling up.
I don't quite get people that finish literally everything else first, then play Phantom Liberty. It might seem like the right move at first, but it doesn't make sense for the overall story, and it's not as much fun to play through it already fully leveled, with nothing to do during downtime between Phantom Liberty missions. Phantom Liberty itself is about 30 hours long, if you do everything in it (which it's worth doing, even the gigs are written so much better than the base game, no filler whatsoever), people underestimate it and think it'll be a short batch of a few missions since it's "just DLC". That's why CDPR kept pushing the word "expansion" when it released. It could be a small spinoff game of it's own.
So yeah, better to treat it as a midgame-late game chapter of V's overall story, than some sort of epilogue extra mission, which it's not. The high stakes, crazy things that happen in it, and world-altering outcomes of it are more fitting for the middle/ 3/4 mark of V's story.
@@treefingers6572 I have indeed started it - you will see it in my new episodes!
@@holliewoodjays very nice, have fun with it!
You probably noticed how much more meaning and deeper your conversations with Johnny gets and they get better. also looked at how many missions you have completed and thought oh boy so much to do 😁 someone likely told you in stream but that hanako at embers mission is a end game mission so i would do as many side missions as you can and make sure you save a version of the game before you do that. i did as much as i could side mission wise etc then played phantom liberty then reloaded the save game before the embers one then did that. because i think if you do phantom liberty but didnt save the game prior you maybe locked out of completing the orginal game if you try after doing phantom, i found it a bit confusing tbh. im sure one of your live stream peeps will tell you too. 😎
I am glad you said this cus I am doing the same thing and don't wanna miss the ending.
You can do Phantom Liberty at any point once available, possibly even better to do so IMO. Definitely want to do before point of no return but I don't think there's any real reason to delay, and yeah, PL is multiple missions that you can take time off between.
Thank you, I’ll start it asap!
Yeah, the wardrobe mess only makes sense if you know the history.
Early versions, you equipped clothes in inventory and got significant bonuses. Everbody dressed for max bonuses, so all these elite mercs in a style-obsessed setting were wearing mismatched nonsense and looked like preschoolers who had dressed themselves.
Later, most of the bonuses that had previously been on clothing were moved to cyberware (forcing specialization, since you have a cyberware cap), and they kept the inventory clothes but added the wardrobe, where you could create outfits from any clothes you've ever owned and just enable those appearances without changing what you're technically wearing.
Ohhh! It is so confusing I’ll have a proper look on my next session!
I saw an ad poster in the city for The Passion... the braindance video of the guy being nailed to the cross from earlier in the game.
Neat little detail, keep an eye out.
I found some other things for missions you haven't done yet too, so I won't say anything to spoil it.
I never look at the ads, cus the city is like... all ads. I lived through the pop-up era of the internet so I guess I am conditioned to ignore them. 😂
Wow that is pretty amazing! I’ll keep an eye out!
I'd definitely think about starting PL fairly soon. It's long and it integrates seamlessly with the main game, so you can easily balance the two.
Thank you, will do! Can’t wait!
If you start the endgame before doing Phantom Liberty you won't be able to go back
Thank you, I’ll start it soon!
Ok, its kinda confusing with the wardrobe.
You get dressed how you want to look in the wardrobe and make the saved outfits there.
Your jumpsuit should be in the T-shirts category.
In the main inventory, you have clothing slots there. You can put on armor, helmets, braindance headset, netrunner suit.... they have useful buffs on them you want to have equipped. But they will not be visible, it won't screw up your outfit.
You have to have the items with the buffs in your inventory to equip them and get the perks.
Everything else, you can sell or break down and you can still put them on in your wardrobe. You don't have to physically have them, they are there forever.
I think that leather cat woman suit you got from Bridgete is a unique item though, cus I lost mine. I broke it down not realizing.
That one... you gotta strip naked in the wardrobe and then put the cat woman suit on in the main inventory page.
Pretty sure you gotta be barefoot too. Its a netrunner suit, they are only worn while netdiving in the tub of ice in the game world.
Thank you for the explanation!
"Thank goodness for that"
Yeah, better a violent car crash that could've killed someone than... **gasp** SEX?!
Is that really the stance you're taking there? Or are you just afraid of upsetting Twitch tos, which I'd understand lol
Lol feel free to watch any of the other sex scenes in the game. Hollie gets VERY embarassed watching them around 100+ people.
😂😂😂
