He always played alpha male characters in films, so it was really surprising for the Korean audience to see him in a dorky role in Squid Game. If you see all his old films, you'll know what I mean.

In those silly k-dramas, most actors have had several plastic surgeries. Maybe some from this cast have too, but they are still more normal looking (although goodlooking) than in some other series. From the looks of it, the one who plays the policeman hasn't done anything. I think that's good; to celebrate the typical Korean features instead of everyone having done their eyes, jaws, noses, boobs and more.

Actually many korean think her acting was little bit awkward. Of course she has a beautiful face and voice tone, but It was her first acting (she was a model before) so many scenes were cringe. And her role (North Korean) is hard to act because their language has very subtle tone what is different from South Korea. Many Korean felt it was quite awkward. But I believe she'll do better next time!

Squid Game is definitely top-tier Korean Series. The fact that they planned ever since 2008/2009 but just never had the budget. Imagine how much more phenomenal ideas people have for series but they just don't have money to make it.

Actually many korean think her acting was little bit awkward. Of course she has a beautiful face and voice tone, but It was her first acting (she was a model before) so many scenes were cringe. And her role (North Korean) is hard to act because their language has very subtle tone what is different from South Korea. Many Korean felt it was quite awkward. But I believe she'll do better next time!
I didn’t expect this series to be this good, the acting was so outstanding, Every game every situation I felt so connected to every character. The picture, the colors, the acting…I mean it was just so amazing. And seeing them all together like this is so wholesome, such an awesome cast.

Squid Game is definitely top-tier Korean Series. The fact that they planned ever since 2008/2009 but just never had the budget. Imagine how much more phenomenal ideas people have for series but they just don't have money to make it.
I definitely love it but I felt they could have get more budget for the VIPs. they sounded like they are being dubbed and is too stereotype for real billionaires.
